That experience sounded pretty surreal... good luck with the documentary. A combination of footage of that day and a "revisit" with interwiews of those different people with their own personal stories, sounds very interesting. Difficult, but interesting.
I think one reason why people are so fascinated with vlogs is the rawness of the videos, and this is evident of that. Unlike the more "produced" vlogs (which aren't really vlogs anymore), there is a lot of emotion and passion behind the person and the topic. And like you said to others in the comments, there isn't a lack of passion when it comes to this, which is what's so great about what you're doing.
Looking forward to seeing it. And bravo, Martin... simply bravo.
I'm looking forward to seeing your documentary. B'burg is my second home. That something like that could happen in our open, friendly place still boggles my mind. Thank you for this video.
I remember I was at the Boise State University campus when we all heard about what happened at Virginia Tech. My friends and I were all shocked and none of us could concentrate on our studies. It's amazing that you were there, I can't even imagine. It's weird to me to think that I probably saw you on CNN 3 years ago, it's a small world!
@ohaiitskatie sometimes it is, and yes it was a scary week, but me and my friend who were there almost considered the media hype just as scary, cause it affected so directly. I sure learned a lot from being there and I'm glad I had good people around me.
Congrats on the local paper coverage. Yes, the local papers tend to have more correct and useful information than the nationals with filtered and adjusted constraints.
@MissRosieHart Like I told @stofvod, I did a full 12 minute one-take without any problems of finding words, so it's obvious to me that this is something I'm very passionate about, and having good people encourage me along the road is invaluable.
@TheSeriouslyrandom crazy happenings make for interesting stories, especially when captured on film. I will def. keep the Youtube community posted on this.

@ButterfliesTheMovie I do too, and I really feel confident from just knowing you and Lisa which will be a great thing for me to have through post-production this summer.

@Be3tBe3t from all that I had heard of Blacksburg before I went, it was so difficult to grasp what was happening as it was happening.
I look forward to showing the finished film, as I'm learning there seems to be great anticipation. I just hope the VT community feels the same way.
cheers

@stofvod the whole thing was basically a one-take but I had to shorten it to make sense but yeah, there's no lack of passion here, that's for sure.
