  • Liked very much, Patsy and Willie, it just does not get any better than this !!!

  • What a blessing! Thank you for sharing this beautiful song by Patsy Cline and Willie Nelson. Your video is awesome and the images you used compliment this song so well.

  • @melodyl52

Thank you {{{dear sister in Christ}}} this is just beautiful, Melody. It truly blesses our hearts as we travel life's railway together. You are such a beautiful and treasured friend; to God be the glory as He uses His beloved servants to His glory. Godfold back this, and every blessing :) :)

    Claire & Dan

*Our thanks to mrtibbs6912 as well, Godfold His blessing to you :)*

May His peace reighn in your heart ...

  • Check out my write up on this song...

  • There has never been another Patsy Cline. The voice says it all. We were blessed to have her.

  • the need ta get outa' town

  • need ta get outa' town

  • great song...brad paisley does an incredible cover of this song with sheryl crow, marty stuart, and carl jackson. check it out.

  • This song is absolutly heavenly...... goose-bumps heavenly.

  • Does someone know if they really sang this together or was this put together after Patsy's untimely death? Love it though. Thanks for posting.

  • @charliekucharski Does not matter. What we have here are two of the legends of country. I am sure when Willie passes he and Patsy will sing this up in the great hereafter.

  • Have you ever heard anyone who could stretch these notes like Patsy? She sings of Heaven and we can be there if we except Jesus as our savior and love GOD with our hearts.GOD bless us all.

  • Patsy never knew Willie, but they sound good together. Don't forget Hank Jr. and his dad sound good too.

  • @onebaud

Patsy certainly knew Willie. Wille wrote crazy arms for her but Patsy didn't like his singing version. Her husband Charlie told her to sing it like Patsy and not Willie. And it was her big hit.

  • wow .. those lovely voice harmonies come with country and western Patsy Cline & Willie Nelson!! It don't get better. They practiced what they preached !!

  • Honestly don't know if this is original, but there was an album made a few years ago that had several artists doing re-recorded duets with Patsy..Martina McBride was one. Whether it's real or faked, it sounds great. As far as the Statler Bro's. recording, it was very good (always a Statlers fan) but I prefer Patsy's original version. But then, I prefer Patsy's version of anything. She was perfection personified. R.I.P. Patsy...I will love you for eternity.

  • Honestly don't know if this is an original duet, but there was an album produced a few years back where they re-recorded some artists doing duets with Patsy.....Martina McBride is one who comes to mind. At any rate, this is beautiful. As for the Statler Bros. version, it was a great recording, but I prefer Patsy's original recording of this song...of course, I prefer Patsy's version of anything. She could sing the song book and make it sound awesome and sexy. RIP Patsy..I will love you forever.

  • Fantastic. I Have always been a great fan of both Willie and Patsy but never heard this one before - A great Country Classic

  • I knew Willie wrote songs for Patsy, but I had no idea they had ever sung together!

This is great! It adds another dimention as to why I LOVE Patsy Cline!

  • have they ever sing toghether??????????????????

  • Just beautiful, heard the Gaither's sing this before. I like both versions.

  • The best version of this song was performed by the Statler Brothers back when Lew Dewitt was stiil in the group. His high warbling voice was perfect for this tune, BTW: If you watch the Patsy Cline movie starring Jessica Lange it will show you how Cline had trouble singing Wille Nelson tunes. She just could not do it in his style

  • Thank you so much for posting this one. The scenery and Willie Nelson with dear beloved Patsy was great. We loved it.

  • WOW! Have never heard this...just wonderful ...thank you so much! Two of my favorite song stylists!

  • Has this been re-engineered in the studio? Or did Willie actually sing a duet with Patsy before she died? I know he was writing songs then--he wrote 'Crazy' that Patsy made famous.

  • @SunsetSix

I have reasons to believe it's real.

While there is still an open debate about whether it is a valid duet there is strong circumstantial evidence that it's the real thing.

    ~They had motive and opportunity.

~She and Willie had a close professional relationship and Willie did sing a LOT of duets.

~Willie will sit and strum with anyone so I feel that this duet with Patsy is authentic.

~Nobody has ever denied that it is the real thing.

~It feels and sounds real, not like an overdub.

  • @hammerogod willie also wrote songs for her :)

  • Life is like a mountain railroad

  • Life is like a mountain railroad

  • I Love and Miss You Morher.....

  • BEAUTIFUL TOGETHER

  • This is an angle from heaven singing with the greatest on earth ..... a truly amazing version ....

  • This is a beautiful song. - Life's Railway

  • Patsy does this beautifully. She has been a favorite of mine for years

  • willie has also sung with Hank Williams Sr, Ray Charles, and Bob Dylan... he hasn't missed much, lol

  • fantastic my two favourite singers together x

  • such beautiful music and every word came from their hearts

  • Yeah well that's very true trains

  • Thanks for posting this fine presentation with the great musical duet of Patsy & Willie, two of the very best. I love this song, and love the old steam locomotives & trains; I'm old enough to remember riding trains pulled by steam power. Semper Fi! :)

  • What a voice she had, every note filled with depth of expression

  • Patsy never had the opportunity to record duets on record. It may have been a consideration though because there is an audio clip of her and another musician working on a song Have I Told You Lately That I Love You. It is on the DVD Remembering Patsy Cline. If she had lived longer they would have boy!!! she would have made many more hits.

  • I had NO idea that these two did a song together?!!!

    Great!! :-D

  • @FrkVims Willie Nelson wrote some of the songs she sang

  • No one sings this song like these two.. My mom would sing it.. she sounded just like Tanya.

Believeanyway, never too old to sing, if you can't sing.. humm.. What a lucky bunch of foster children to have someone sing to them..

I'm not religious as some people..lost that a long time ago - but this sure touches my heart.. 'smile'

  • Such A Beautifull Song and Sung By The Best,Patsy & Willie.Luv Them Both ! Never heard this song before, but I certainly will be playing it again. Thanks,Pat

  • Willie has sang with Hank Williams Sr., Ray Charles and Bob Dylan... now that's something to be proud of and bespeaks of his great and enduring talent

  • Look at those trains. Reminds me of

my childhood. Being raised in the mountains, this looks so familiar. I've heard this song by other artists, too. Beautiful! thank you!! Excellent video.

  • WIllie's image in the early sixties was short hair, suit and tie. It seems that he went into the counter culture compared to other country artists at the time. What talent though...very much appreciate the post.

  • "Went to the counter culture", as thought that was a bad thing?"

  • I don't believe that Patsy Cline EVER recorded WITH Wille Nelson, was this done somehow to put their 2 voices together, in a FAUX duet?? I KNOW that Patsy recorded one of Willies songs (CRAZY) but never heard of ANY recording sessions of her AND Willie Nelson together as a duet! Len P.

  • It's on "Patsy Cline Duets: Volume 1"

This song is called "Life's Railway to Heaven

  • he recorded with her voice after she had died

  • Thank You so much for posting to someone like me that cannot afford to go any where.....The larger than life two, in my book Music Artist's singer's....

Because of these two, that is all I ever wanted to do was sing...But too old to now....Best dream I had my whole life tho.. Used to sing their songs to the foster children my grandma had...

    GOD BLESS.....Sincerely Love it.

  • Patsy and Willie does a beautiful job singing this song. This is a very old song, I often wondered also how old this song is. My mom talked about it . She said my grandmother loved it too. Thanks for posting.

  • Great song and even greater pics. Thanks for posting

    God Bless

    David
