@cameradiva12 Yes it is very hot, and it is also made with a concentrated Hydrogen Peroxide (I think 10% as opposed to the household level of 3%; this may have been more but in Chemistry we used 10%) and can be very corrosive to skin.

@Skidnee00 It's a mixture of Hydrogen Peroxide, Dish Soap, and Potassium Iodine.

Hydrogen Peroxide:Potassium Iodine:Dish Soap

3:2:1 (roughly)

The Potassium Iodine is the catalyst, so add the dish soap to the peroxide, then when you want it to grow add the potassium iodine.

@CommentAndFavorite this is incorrect, it is mainly hydrogen peroxide (35% concentration) probably about 200ml with a little detergent may be 20ml, there is a few drops of food colouring and then about 20ml of saturated potassium iodide. The potassium iodide catalyzes the decomposition of the Hydrogen Peroxide and is added at the end.
