Actually... yes, the shadow was moving. The light source is linked to the camera, and the light casting calculations are re-done every single frame.
Bryce... I suppose it's a good beginners' software, but it takes a lot of rather unwise shortcuts, and seems to insist in doing things out the long way where it really -should- be making shortcuts. For instance: if it calculated the lighting for the scene once, and then baked it, it would drastically decrease render time and increase consistency.
No the shadow looks like its moving because of the the camera paning its shot of the tree, The lighting and texture are 2 of the most important things you need to take into account to make something look realistic. Thanks again for the compliment
