DAMN, where did THIS come from!?!? I'm Lee Chase the drummer on this vid and had NO idea anything like this existed. (BTW, on bass is Dale Corbin and on Gretsch guitar is Scott Allman) One fond memory of the X gig and the party after.... X came to Lansing from a Chicago gig and John Doe had a stack of old C&W records that he bought there. We played a bunch of these at the party and got righteously drunk. We grabbed a couple acoustic guitars and sang George Jones songs until the sun came up.
That's cool that you found yourself on youtube! Good story about the afterparty. I was searching for a different band called "Flying TIgers" with Dennis Dunaway and Neil Smith from Alice Cooper, but I love rockabilly so I'm glad I came across this.
man it is really good to see this video ..i used to work with craig and the singer jan at el az. way back in the early 80's..and you know they are still together..kinda amazin...
Jimi? Yeah, I thought so too at times.. actually, his name is Craig Calvert. The video you see I was able to videotape (with the band's permission) on October 11, 1982 at Dooley's Bar in East Lansing, Michigan; they were the opening act for the band "X" from Los Angeles.
