Did Luke and Matthew refer to the Romans destroying the temple, unlike in Mark? I have a Religious exam on Tuesday and i wanted to know if it was relevant to score me some extra marks? thanks
There is no "synoptic problem." Such an idea comes from heretics. Protestant and liberal theology is not inspired. You can trust all the gospels. Protestant theology is rationalistic and leads to skepticism. Dostoyevsky said Protestantism leads to atheism. The rational tendency in Protestantism was imported from Roman Catholicism, which came from Augustine. He's the cause of all western heresies. Protestants left the Church, now they are leaving the Gospels, soon they will leave the Epistles
This, of course, is the dilemma of dealing with texts that are nearly 2000 years old and are packed with content that is cultural, geographical, historiacal and spiritual. I do agree that "we can trust the gospels'. Thank you for your comment.
You have a narrow vision and discussing these theories does not lead to Atheism. You sighted Dostoyevsky because you believe his analogy which is flawed. I would not be surprised if Christology falls under your definition of heresy too. Being formally educated in the Bible has enriched my understanding and actually brought me closer in my relationship with Yahweh. As your name suggests, perhaps you should apologize to KavanaghInfo. KavanaghInfo, please keep up the good work!
