  • hey porpeify brighthouse techs are not greati had a s/n issue anbd showed the tech with my 5000 and he said i didnt know what i was talking about the i had a bad drop hmmmmm -14 on 2 at the tap being a 17value sounds like crap i worked for a competitor as maintenance level 2 i would even call him a service tech. also was told my house needed rewired the tech before him i have 6quad sheild so dont act like you know it all and the new comercial with the dog tells that you lie to get in

  • Brighthouse are BIG trouble! anyway, all TV's now have a kind of copy protect system built in, so do DVD players and digital receivers like macrovision on old VHS format tapes to stop you copying films. It can interfear sometimes even when not recording. The signal is broadcast digitaly through air and the TV picks it up. Digital broadcasts were introduced for one reason, to stop you recording films and shows! Brighthouse know Exactly what it is they just wont tell you. Please, look it up.

  • Brighthouse is a terribl service? Based on what?...One or two bad experiences you might have had? God forbid your TV macroblock every once in a while. Ya know, cable's not perfect. Most problems come from prewired homes with crap 59 wiring, or cusomers who take it upon themselves to "fix" their issues without professional help. Ingress backfeeding on the plant as a result...

Also, consider the volume we deal with. You obviously dont know the first thing about communicaions, Guile3k7.

  • @phopeify

    Sorry....aimed at LifeAsAnExtra

  • I work for this company. We don't give bad service to our customers. Usually replacing a fitter ends and splitter does the work.

  • @Guile2k7 Brighthouse is a terrible service, are you kidding me!?

  • I remember time warner having this problem and it stopped, never did this again.

  • sad :( and the owners of BRIGHT HOUSE NETWORKS are trying to can all the older more experienced techs and engineers, me after 21 yrs, a lame excuse to force retire me, and after 3 years of government work , i see that many customer complaints have been sighted against them, what can you do when THEY HAVE A MONOPOLY . they work there employees very hard, techs speeding around ,getting pulled over and a trooper telling his dispatch to be quite, on the bhn nextel, haha

  • Would be interested on knowing your thought on my cable issues. Ive had 5 boxes and 5-10 visits. I have numerous issues with pixelation, jittery picture and DVR functionality. I posted some examples

  • The issue has been resolved - after five service calls to our home and swapping the HD DVR five times. Three of those swaps I did myself by personally visiting the Bright House office and requesting a different box.

The 8300HDC boxes have software issues so I downgraded to older 8300HD box.

Also had splitter replaced and signal boosted inside the house. Later, signal was boosted down the street.

The last tech to visit our home was the only one who had the experience to resolve the issue

  • thats weak signal. call Bright House and tell them about the issue.

  • You aren't the only person with this problem. Make a service call. Have someone come out and fix that. It's an easy fix (usually). Your line or splitter is bad. Sometimes it's just the box. But cable is not perfect. Everybody at least once has to have a cable guy come out. Just the way it is. Good luck.
