  • TACTICAL NOOK INCOMING!

  • Interesting

  • Laggy

  • nice tits

  • haha love how laggy it is

  • I hope my Friend Beth Likes Vampire Like Me =D

  • Charlaine Harris!

  • my mom wants to know about how you download from library. it is confusing. and the idea of a library having only 6 copies of a digital book, and how to return it.

neophytes not well versed in computerized technology, this is not "self explanatory" apparatus.

  • Barnes and Noble will not survive. They keep on losing money. We should throw the book at em.

  • I hope her friend Beth likes Asian vampires cuz that's what I am.

  • Today received confirmation that they ready to send replacement. Hope that story will finish in that.

  • why would you download on your way to work. no nooking and driving bitch

  • I ordered b&w nook .After half-year it was frozen. B&N sent replacement to wrong address. Tens of emails, telephone calls. Never again nook!

  • @VSlava7 What is B&W? And btw, they don't have control over their logistics. Be happy that they sent you a replacement cos i think its a user problem not with the device (NOOK). NOOK is great, if you know how to take care of it and "how" to use it.

  • @evilenigma17

    "What is B&W?"

    - Black & white model.

"And btw, they don't have control over their logistics."

    - In my understanding this is abnormal when company have "no control over their logisics". I am in Europe regularly buy thinks over internet. Usually replacement is sent often without even asking to return broken device.

B&N asked me to return - Ok. I did. But they lost it.

  • And just about device. Sure when you have no problem with Your device it is perfect. But when my in one day stopped to react on a buttons, what I have to say? Just try to google on keywords "my nook is frozen".

But not taking to account that bug, main disadvantage - battery is not enough. If WiFi is off maximum 3 day of not intensive reading. A lot of analogs could work longer then week.

  • I hope they don't fucking replace books with the nook. I ain't paying 300 dollars for a book that will break on me =/

  • If you want something with games, email accessibility, and an e reader, get the iPad. I mean seriously, on the iPad u can get the nook app for $0.99.

  • iPad not same quality of text for device that positioned as "book". 10hours that iPad has for electronic book is really nothing. Many e-ink readers can work up to week of reading without recharge.

  • should i get kindle or this?

  • @paulceltics get the nook. its so much better!

  • The lag on the book selection screen is pretty laughable. I'm surprised it's so bad.

  • i love my nook. so many improvements have been made to it via software updates and its easily as fast as the kindle now and theres such a bigger book selection too.. kate does seem a bit fake tho

  • do you have to pay with a credit card or can you buy a card like with itunes

  • @fordawsome100 Thats the downside. You have to put a credit/debit card on your BN account to purchase your books. You also have to have a gift card to buy the books because the authors wanna make sure they will get paid.

  • Wait what is it called when you can use your nook like an iPad sorta thing?

  • @karatekid768 do you mean the Nook Color?

  • I have the nook and I must say it's fantastic ! Even in the sun there is no glare its just like you read a book outside. The Ipad is 5 times more expensive and a friend of mine with Ipad has difficulties reading in the SUN !! So yea its great.

  • Compare this shit with ipad 2....it's a joke

  • @HonestMagnet The iPad 2 is a tablet. The Nook is an E-reader. Not to mention, you can now get the original nook for about $100, while the entry level iPad 2 is $500. Two totally different products.

  • @cassnate6259

i agree. plus, most of the stuff i'd do on the ipad, i can do with my iphone. and the ipad is so clunky. basically, the only thing i'd use the ipad for is books since doing that on the iphone is a pain, and the nook is smaller + way cheaper.

  • Amazon just released cheaper ad-supported Kindle. For details, go to Facebook and search "ereader" to access the community page for the latest news.

  • My local B&N is in Princeton NJ and the workers are so rude. I was asking about the E reader and was told to go home and look on the computer. The worker told me since the company was cutting hours they did not care what the hell the shoppers wanted unless they were buying somthing.

  • Every time I go into my local Barnes and Noble in Princeton NJ looking for a new I am told by the workers to just buy an E book. Everyone there is so rude I was told to just buy an E book because they did not feel like looking for the book. I was told the company cut hours so the worker just slowed down their work.

  • How does this compare to the Kindle?

  • This honestly is the first tablet device to support flash player...

  • does it have built in wi-fi?

  • @molovesmusic567 yes.

  • This is what it should be.

    1. A True Technology Magazine.

    2. A True Engineering Magazine.

    3. A True Architecture Magazine.

    4. A True Interior Design Magazine.

    5. A True Fashion Design Magazine.

  • What's "Airplane mode"?

  • The nook is so laggy! hahaa Apple FTW

  • @StephenMicheal93

Its not meant to be a competitor dumb shit. Go enjoy your overpriced white brick.

  • i like nook.

  • i want a nook so badd!!!

  • Can you watch you tube videos on it straight from the website? In other words video streaming?

  • can you put pdf files?

  • @HyperNati yes!

  • THIS CUNT BETTER BE WATCHING THIS IN THE KITCHEN.

  • I just bought a nook and didnt know it was that easy,Now i cant wait to get it. Thanks for showing me how easy it really is.

  • Aw shit, That lady's annyoing. That fake smile gives me a headache..

  • can you do jumping jacks with your nook? Give a tutorial on ijump

  • I'll be glad when my book "Lines of dark and light" is available on this

  • yes you can serch the internet

  • Can you search the internet?

  • @JazzTheJumper yes you cn go diff websites but u need wireless connection/wifi

  • plz, plz check the figer flipping in iphones, that is an EASY! this is surely NOT

  • Hey, if anyone has a nook but lives outside the us and cant buy books, i have a solution! you need to ask someone who lives in the US or Canada who you trust and vice verca. Give that person in the US your account info to bn.com then ask them to change/add credit card info to their own and then they buy the book(s) you want. You then go to your nook which doesnt need to be in North America and click on the "check for new B&A content and the book should be in your library!

  • When you first get this, do you get to download a certain number of books for free?

  • Looks pretty shitty...

  • I am thinking of buying a nook soon. I looked up 'Harry Potter' on Barnes and Noble under the nook section, and all I saw were a bunch of cheaply made guides that had notes on Harry Potter- I want the actual books on my nook If I'm going to buy one. Is there a certain place I can purchase books ON the nook, and if there is- can someone search for me so I know that they have the ACTUAL harry potter books and not some Schmoop's guide??

    Thank you! -

    Sincerely,

    an avid reader :)

  • @Ghostpelt101 The Harry Potter books don't appear to have been offically released in ebook format by the publisher. So no, you couldn't get it on the Nook, the Kindle, or any other ereader at this time

  • @KuervoDR thank you =)

  • @KuervoDR but you can get them if you look hard enough ;-)

  • @Ghostpelt101 Harry Potters are my favorite books, how could they not have it on there?!!!

  • @Alterbridge321 they do have harry potter lots of them are actually around 5 dollars

  • show us your nook!!

  • @dead4fun -ie lol

  • wait wait wait where is her nook?

I wanted to see her nook... haha

  • if the touch screen sucks in an ad

    then it REALLY sucks

  • Great ..look at this new reader

  • Dear youtube, the new layout sucks.

    love Zoe.

  • Thanks, Nancy B. Brewer ` author of Carolina Rain

  • can it read russian text??????

  • @zenya1089 if you put pdfs on it it can

  • I really wouldn't judge the product by this commercial, it was made before all the lifesaving updates.

  • Although this commercial is very tempting, the Nook is not really a very good e-reader. First of all, the LCD display somewhat drains battery life faster and its page turn speed is much slower compared to that of the Kindle. It's also heavier and thicker compared to Kindle and if I'm not mistaken it's only available to customers in the U.S. For me, the latest generation of Kindle is the best. The only significant drawback is that it doesn't support e-books from third-party sources.

  • i think if barnes and noble chose a better name for their ebook, it would be more popular. Kindle and ipad are both much catchier names that stick in your head rather than "nook" i am not saying that name has everything to do with popularity but it seems like it plays a little part in popularity.

  • i have a nook it works awesome

  • i just got mine, is the screen supposed to be so dark?

  • i want this 4 christmas

  • this commercial is brilliant. sorry kindles.

  • when you bookmarking something, can you do it for more than one book? Xxx

  • @SplinterCraig and this is my nook! Hahaha

  • Google nook in the urban dictionary and then listen to the beginning of this video for a laugh.

  • download and read books on the way to work huh? wow sounds safe. idiot. but i did just order my nook :) cant wait to get it

  • what a cutie! just bought one and love it!

  • Hahahaha, this is a failed product. Go look at the news articles about Barnes & Noble going bankrupt and trying to sell their company. Guess who's going to buy it? Amazon. Dammnnn right... BRICK & MORTAR GOT SLAMMED BITCH

  • @MrSquitwet Fanboy alert.

  • tits are bigger than the nooks. ;-)

  • i wonder if u can dowload mangas onto your nook

    hmmmm idk

  • Can you watch youtube videos on the nook? someone reply back.

  • gee they don't even try to hide that they have no original ideas. Everything is stolen from Apple

  • GET NEW BOOK ON NOOK:]

Author George D. Contakos shares a regular guy’s story of how, whatever the situation is, it can be changed for the better. Every positive effort I put out there, I will be equally rewarded.

With positive thoughts and feelings in my mind I have created success.

    I am successful!

    I enjoy success everyday.

It's Not Too Late!, George D. Contakos

  • Her nook is amazing! She manipulates her nook with ease. Confidence with your nook is essential. Only on problem. She keeps her niece and nephew on her nook.

  • Show us your nook toots

  • we dont care about you family piics lady just talk about the nook hahaha jp

  • When you buy a skin, how do you get the screen to interact with the skin?

  • She played a role of patient in the first seria of "House M.D."

    Am I right?

  • ... So cheesey XD The Nook is cool, but the woman is just so damn retarded: "HAHAHA! I have some really great pictures of my niece and nephew loaded on to my nook" What's so funny woman? 2:52

  • I DON'T BUY NOTHING FROM BARNES&NOBLE BECAUSE THEY SUPPORT ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTES IN THE WAREHOUSE LOCATED AT MONROE TWP.NJ 08831 THE PERCENT OF IMMIGRANTS IS AROUND 95% ILEGALL PEOPLE IN THAT WAREHOUSE YES OR NOT DONNA.

  • You guys need to get laid.

  • Comment removed

  • shes mad hot

  • the thing that would bother me is the transition from page to page....when the screen goes black for a split second....ugh...that would get annoying after awhile

  • gorgeous...

  • what a wonderful girl !!!! an the NOOK of course :)

  • i have a nook and it rocks

the price is kinnda a ripoff its 259 bucks but its so worth it

  • E-Books will never be worth anything; books always will be. I have (5) 1st Edition Chilton Dunes signed that are worth over $10,000 a piece.

  • @MrSquitwet no one cares.

  • @MrSquitwet Winrar is you

  • There is no backlight? Which means you cannot read the damn thing if the room is dark?

  • @chronodiver300 Just like you can't read a book if it's dark, fucking dumbass.

  • @DefaultAnonAccount

Sure you can, you silly girl. It requires a booklight--when you take up reading books with big words, I am sure someone will explain it to you.

Odd that they can backlight the bottom portion of the screen, but not the top. Seems l like backlighting will surely be an added feature at some point.

  • @chronodiver300 You see champ, you have no concept of E-Ink technology and how it works. A backlight would kill your eyes, and who the fuck would want to read in the dark with a booklight? Guess who? Probably you faggot, because you have nothing else better to do then to bitch about how an e-book reader doesn't have a backlight.

  • @DefaultAnonAccount

I am going to go out on a limb here and guess that reading is not a routine part of your activities of daily living.

  • You can tell she's acting. I fucking hate that lol

  • it looks nice but too big for me. need something small enough to fit in my pockets

  • Is this serious or is this an ad? I can't tell. I really want the nook. It seems better than others.

  • does anyone who has this or just know if they have mangas?

  • @videopeeps1234567898

i do not think they have mangas. Maybe if you look hard enough, they may. i do not think so though

  • Don't read and drive kids!

  • There is a much greater variety of books.

ONly New York Times bestsellers are $9.99

Prices range greatly just like a bookstore.

I have my Nook, but I haven't spent a penny and I have about 220 books all of which were free.

There is a great range of prices $9.99 is only a popular price, but there are loads opf FANTASTIC looking books for more or less.

  • @conceitedperson78 Where did you get your FREE books from?! ;)

  • @yummylaffytaffy

Go to Shop and search 0.00

And you can go to B&N.com and search 0.00 in the ebook section! Loads of free books.

And just as a bit of Self Promotion: Search German Alcala to find all of my books all of which are Free except one that costs 99 cents! :D

  • how do you pay for the book??? we just bought a nook

  • I want that thing so bad!!! I hope my dad buys it for me

  • I was just wondering, on average how much do the online books cost? Are they all 9.99?

and, do they have a greater variety of books than the amazon kindle?

    Thanks

  • This is ridiculous.

Seems unresponsive, and e-ink, while a great thing to read book, is too old and ugly to compete with colored lcd screens, especially when e-comics and dynamic books/magasine are coing to come out.

  • @Augurae Every e reader uses e ink so its not like you can say ill buy the kindle instead because it doesnt use e ink

  • @Augurae You're a fucking idiot, no one reads on an LCD screen, that would kill your eyes within a matter of minutes.

  • the tutorial looks exactly same as apple's. white background, blue shirt. ...

  • eBook readers are open or closed. The Nook and the iPad both support the .epub format which IS open. Kindle doesn't! See my fast tutorial about the .epub format. It is a deep-level description of the format. Go ahead and paste this on the end of the video address in your Web browser: vvGrFZdSDww

  • @botsok3skelion An iPad would kill your eyes in 30 seconds those things are meant more to be used to watch videos and plus the iPad makes reading on it look fake plus just a maxipad is better than that thing for once apple has dissapointed me

  • i want that son of a bitch

  • can the nook read to you?

  • @mmaroney212 No well not for free im sure you can buy audio books

  • Hi, Kate.

    You are beautiful.

  • Why the vampire cliche? ;p

  • can you upload music from itunes? or what if you put cds into your computer and downlosd them?

  • So you said there is no back lighting, but does this mean that I can't read it in the dark. It looks as if the small screen has back lighting.

  • @KyddAzor You cant do that with a real book and the little screen is backlight

  • @afstclair

I know the little screen has backlight, but the E-Reader, the big screen itself isn't a real book, its electronic so i was hoping it would have a back light.

  • I heard that they have more in the stores now...is that true? i might get one tomorrow or sunday! :)

  • Speaking of turning of the eink, do you just leave the nook instead of turning it off? Cuz the battery wouldn't be used if the screens weren't doing anything? So basically how do you turn it off? I know this sounds really stupid but...

  • can someone tell me,

    1. can nook access journals like scientific american? nature? new scientist? newton?

    2. Apart from the "my library" feature, does it have a means to further sub-sort books, journals and/or periodicals?

    3. Can I load my own pdf documents into nook for my own reading later, are there any problems with displaying pdf on nook (wikipedia says there is..)

    thanks.

  • @emrobot ...as of right now, there is a pretty limited selection of magazines you can subscribe to (I think 12) and about the same number of newspapers...all the big ones such as Washington Times, New York Times, Chicago Tribune, etc. There probably is a way to download e-copies of more magazines from other sources and them load them to the nook via USB but I'm not exactly sure how that would work.

Journals, books and periodicals are sorted separately.

I'm not sure about the PDF, haven't tried

  • 1. You'll have to see if the ones you would like are available in B&N eBook Store. But they have a huge collection of magazines, newspapers and other periodicals to chose from.

    2. I am not sure. If you root your nook, you'll be able to chose an alternate way, but the rooting process is dangerous and can break your nook. Also, your warranty will be voided before you can say "nook".

    3. Totally! PDF works great on nook.

  • Lol, kinda =-?

  • @scottspeaksfuckinsux no they can still get damaged dumbass

  • @afstclair remind me which comment of mine you're responding to... I don't really remember much from that night because I had to drink alot to make your mother look decent enough to let her suck my cock without puking on her

  • The whole thing should have been touch screen and color and also a web browser other than just to barnes and noble and if the price was the same thats the true kindle killer and ipad killer

  • You cant make a Color Screen without some sort of Backlight. It would be so dark kinda like the First Gameboy Color. Its so hard to see the screen. The E Ink is so Crisp you have to see it in person, you may try to touch it.

  • The EInk screen never Stays ON. It pulses on to change the Text, then shuts down. the Ink stays put forever until the next On Pulse.

  • Thanks did not think of that

  • It does not...not even the Ipad..I think that's a very special feature that only the kindle has.

  • Does wifi cost money when you're not at Barnes and Noble? and does it cost money to look for books to buy (just look) using the nook??Thanks

  • @PanicRox11 there are no air time fees

  • I like the eInk display, now what I want to see is a pressure sensitive drawing tablet or slate that can accurately capture freehand sketches and handwriting. It doesn't even have to be in color.

  • @NitekMuscle thats the sony reader

  • I got kicked out of Barnes and Nobles once, I put all of the bibles in the fiction section.

  • havent heard THAT one before :/

  • stole it from a comedian. now shut up.

  • @BushidoBen Its the right category to put them in you should deserve an award in that case

  • she should be telling us about her nook-ie.

  • @darkfabled HURRRRRRR UR SO FUNY...faggot.

  • Damn that chick is hot. I just watched the whole thing muted. What's she on about? .... some book thing.

  • @infectoid She is hot. Quite frankly she isn't even cute. She is kinda not ugly but not pretty. She is somewhere in between.

  • @infectoid shes ugly

  • I can just go to the library and get a a book for free! If I really like the book, then I buy it and put it on my bookshelf for display. This goes for any reader. What I need is a e-notebook. Apple is a disappointment with it's ipad, I hope MS makes the courier come true.

  • Oh, the e-books tablets are so one-dimensional. If it is not a multifunctional tool throw it out!
