  • WA2 best game of all time

  • My heart is blazing by the end of this song

  • "no tomorrow"´s no regret!

    those words changed my life

  • Without a doubt, one of my favorite songs in all of video game history. Hearing this when you booted up your game made EVERYTHING that came afterwards ten times better. The game itself was pretty good, but this song alone catapulted it into being one of my faves for a very long time.

  • This game probably would make a really good anime. I kinda wish this had been the Wild ARMs anime instead of what they went with.

  • i grew up with wild arms and man i just remember how amazing it is

  • Recently got this game again and replaying the entire thing : D

God dammit this is like my fave PS2 game ever.

  • I remember when playing through the game I would always watch the intro after loading my save. On very rare occasions the intro would be in Japanese or a whistled version. I still to this day don't know what triggered that, but it was pretty rare.

  • Absolutely epic. I just died of nostalgia.

  • Man I love Samantha newark she was wonderful in this game they really should of brought her back to sing the opening to the fourth game instead of that ehh girl they actually got.

  • Damn I loved this game! Its deferentially one of the hidden gems on the ps2. Need to play it again.

  • Blood, Tears and the Dried up Wasteland.

  • Y'all know that virginia is calamity jane.

  • @Joshua16547 her descendant more or less. the artbook says that it's not certain but it's kinda obvious X3

  • What an unbelievable good singer

  • Thank you for the links (and video here)! I was just importing my CDs with Media Monkey and I remembered the English version on the soundtrack isn't the one in the localized game.

  • Sad i want to play wild arms 3 and 4 but its hard to get here

  • Damn, this song is so inspiring.

  • Thumbs Up if you never knew never realized this was the FIRST intro and is still lost in the desert somewhere.

  • Finally found this version, the other english version makes little sense. This is the theme I sang along with in my youth every time I loaded my save.

  • Jenny Stigile is a better singer.

  • I like WA3 and WA5 both are great game but WA2 is still the best. IMO

  • Great quality man!

  • Currently playing this game and loving every single bit of it :)

  • I got at least 2/3 of the game done. I tried to pick it up after almost 1 year where I left off... Lets just say I might need to start over.

  • not heard this song in a very long time. Moment I heard it brought everything back.

  • @xDisRazyboix I've been seeeing articles telling me that the 2011 model does NOT have PS2 Comaptibility. Still, since I don't trust the Internet, try asking somone extremely tech-savvy.....Or ask at a Gamestop or something.

  • @klom89 Well recently they are starting to make compatible PS2 games for the PS3. On their network. So I am at a lost if a PS2 Hard Disk copy would work instead of a digital copy you buy off their store. I hope they make an update to let us play PS2 games.

  • Does anyone know if Wild Arms 3 works on the PS3(2011model/latest) Cause I know Wild Arms 2 works.

  • @xDisRazyboix I've heard that some PS3s aren't "Backwards Compatible." (A.K.A. Able to play older-PS games on their new system)

Best thing to do is simply try it out. I know thre's an online list for that kind of thing, but I'm sure it depends on the model of your PS3.

  • @klom89 Thanks for the info.

  • An epic song...Except for the second-to-last line: "I'm gonna win some help." Kinda kills the build-up they so eagerly made, I think.

  • @klom89 actually she says "I´m gonna win somehow."

  • @klom89 it's "somehow" not "some help"

  • THANK YOU so much for the download link :)

  • man i totally wanted janus and the main character to hook up.

  • This song along with the opening of another WA2 were the best. But this music has many different versions that existed in this case how many vocal ... Once I have the original version and an English version and both are sung by Kaori, but a version of the game has a voice much softer than the English version reminds Kaori.

  • i played the wild arms from 1-4 but the most i like from ps 1 and not the remake to ps 2, wild arms 1st still the best

  • Siegfried!

  • is this the one where u start on the train and everyone pulls a gun on each other, than u have to play there back storys? cuz i think i rented this game when i was 12 and got raped on the desert back story with the impossible random battles.

  • @shadowmalik009 It was indeed.

  • Among all Wild Arms Games, 3 had the very best Intro of them all. The singer is just freaking badass awesome.

  • 13 people work for Janus Cascade

  • 1:06 why so serious virginia?

  • MY SHIELD IS STRONG!

  • I never did kill that damned one billion degrees fucker :(

  • Amazing game, cel-shaded gorgeous graphics, awesome music, and the whole desert theme is sweet. Gameplay wasn't deep but the mini puzzles and huge number of dungeons were cool. Also wasn't there like a number of steps before an encounter or something? I loved this game, haven't played it in about four years, thinking of dusting it off.

  • this opening is just to good to listen to i could never skip it and loved how it would change through out the story. A epic game

  • so is this a western rpg or japanese?

  • @sirlloydoutcastofthe it was made in japan, but the game itself is western-themed, with some sci-fi later on. I don't want to spoil a lot of it.

  • I remember very little about this game except for one fact:

Clyde is the badass of the group.

  • A JRPG set in the old West?

Why the hell have I never heard about this until now?

I need to go and get it. Find out if it's any good.

  • @TheJboy88

    It is absolutely fantastic.

  • I wish they did the extended version in english too.

  • I remember playing the demo of this game and consider it one of my favorite classic RPG. I should really go and get this game...

  • I love the wild arms 4 and 5 so far and I just bought 3, It looks awesome! can you really play as different characters? and also, do I have to get a regular play station to play one and two? Or can I play It reverse compatible With a memory card and PS2? that's what my cousin told me.

  • @Fayt13th yea u can play part 1 and 2 on ur ps2 and save using ur ps2 memory card, i never played part 1 but out of all the ones i have played i say part 2 is the best one of them all even better then the final fantasy games. ima rebuy them from the playstation 3 marketplace. they only cost $5.99 for each one.

  • @s3pHeNoMiC Thank you! I am so sorry it took so long to reply, but thanks for telling me!

  • @Fayt13th Great buy, really, this wild arms is awesome, and yes you can change the character in the normal gameplay, and both the characters have their tools, just like the first two wild arms

  • @Jett993 I'm stuck on a part...I'm like halfway through the game but I rushed through it and I'm under leveled and fighting a boss and I can't go back and level-up or buy new things...GAH I'm SOOOO stupid!!! But yes it is a great game! ^.^

  • @Fayt13th Well sometimes what you need is the just tactics. Have you found the secret garden?

  • @Jett993 I just looked again and I don't think I'm very far after all >.< I'm in Unclean Mark fighting Janus in his lizard form...I can't kill him though! I used up all my potions on that purple lady and everyone needs to be healed and I don't have enough FP..Basically I dug my grave, laid down in it, and piled dirt on top. T.T

  • lol i just remebered when i first played this game i fought the hidden boss in the well gallows was the only party member who survived cuase i gave him water immunity and everyone else died the funny thing was following that fight gallows was 20 lvls higher then everyone else

  • While watching this: Hey I don't remember the opening having a vocal arrangement. Huh why didn't remember these lyrics; they're pretty good. It seems like I would have at least rememb- "And I will make it through this devil storm! Safe and WARRMMMM!!" OH MAI GAWD. I remember! "My shield is strooong"-sings along, and then dies of nostalgia nerdgasm-

  • I love this theme, but I found the game disappointing. Way too many boss fights. I also didn't like the second game. It's too bad, because the first game is in my top five RPGs.

  • This game series never got enough attention in my opinion. It is sad that the reign of turn-based RPGs has ended. I can't find any good story-driven games anymore that aren't dual analog. These games had great music too. I think that can't be denied. I may have to hunt down the soundtrack one of these years. ;)

  • I do love this song. <3

  • *sniff* What a powerful singer :'D

THE WILD ARMS SERIES WILL LIVE FOREVER!

  • one of the many reasons why ps2 is the best console ever made xD

  • The openings were like different seasons in a anime. I used to love seeing what was the new evil for each "episode"

  • The only thing I remember from this game back when I was 8-9 years old were these things: The main character was a girl (couldn't understand that as a kid, lol, after playing Final Fantasys 7-9), Clyde was a total badass with his rifle, Jet looked like Cloud Strife, and the Indian dude with the shotguns was apparently the strongest character in my party.

I need to get this game back so I can finish it. I only had it on Blockbuster Rental.... -_-

  • ...Please tell me you'll LP this.

  • @IRONHEART49 I will be. =P

  • thumbs up if you one of those people who chose to keep their PS and still play this game

  • @revanrecklesscifer not only this one,the other first 2 too.

  • @revanrecklesscifer Mine died TT_TT But I still have the game.

  • @kingofthering24 that sucks tha you lost your console

  • @revanrecklesscifer Yeah, I keep thinking about downloading the PS2 drive for my PS3.

  • I was never able to skip this on my game. I just couldn't, I loved listening to it too much.

  • It's always when I find an awesome game of an old-generation Console, that My console breaks down and I sell it.

Ugh, I seriously need to download system emulation.(pCSX2)

  • Great game, I'm currently replaying everything in "Ex New Game" mode, everything in this game is just too addictive and awesome.

  • @Khaenus "Ex New Game"? is that another name for New Game+?

  • @TheDynastyStar It's actually the official name of the New Game + mode in this game.

  • @Khaenus ahhhh ic, sounds cool :)

  • I'm playing this game for the first time after finding it for £1.50 in a secondhand shop. Really enjoying it! Great game!

  • @ChrisShoxx Cool, my first time around playing the game was amazing. Good times!!!!!! I hope you're still enjoying it!!!

  • Best RPG out there! Clive was a beast-Hyper + Lock On!

  • I never got tired of that theme..I use to let it play out each time I woul play this game. And it never got boring because the theme (as far as video) kept changing depending on where you were in the story it was awesome!

  • awsome opening

  • I'm not into Western movies or John Wayne or anything like that, but for some reason, the 'Western' or pioneer-style theme of the Wild Arms games, esp. this one, always felt pretty cool :)

  • God I miss all the characters!!! I got so attached to everyone and really enjoyed playing it through the second time and seeing all the things you miss on the first playthrough. (like when you're in the port town chatting with janus' thugs and the little girl walks out of the town behind them, and the thugs look at her and then the conversation continues... but you don't find out that she's a HUGE part of the story until way later. So awesome.)

  • I love this game! Feels like I'm watching an Anime series cause after you save the game there's ending outro. But of course I'm the one who is controlling the series :)

  • I remember playing this when I was younger, I was OBSESSED with this theme song. Randomly just now I tried to search it up without remembering the name of it and I magically found it.

    THIS BRINGS BACK MEMORIESSS~

  • One of the best intros ever to hit an RPG, Virginia was one of the best, and was often the strongest on the team. What I really loved was the music, the western atmosphere, and the story to it. Even though during that time I was mostly into the PSX games still, it was one of the first to get me out of the era, and into the newer era of PS2. Since this game I have amassed a huge pile of PS2 games, this one game got me into collecting them. Next stop is my shop! :)

  • T-T The hardest game I've ever played. I still haven't truly beaten it yet. I made it to the end, but I never did collect all the EX file keys.

  • the wild arms series are the very first rpgs i played that had some impact on me. i'm proud to say i own every single wild arms game plus the twilight venom anime.

  • Love that part where Virginia has her arm extended, and drops the gun a little bit. I get nostalgiac every time I see it.

  • i loved this game and when you beat it has some awesome pics they drew out of fan service i guess that they show you as the credits are rolling best game i ever played it was better than the final fantasy series. and i loved the dragon you got to fly around in it was a sweet ride

  • I must know who this woman is!

  • when this was released, I was already at my early teens

  • A true hidden gem i'm proud of finding by myself without the help of the internet or magazines back in the day.

  • i love jet!!!! X3

  • This game is epic. I think I'll still be a blind fangirl for Jet even when I'm 80. One day, I'd love to see a prequal made for this game, the materials produced for it show there is so much they didn't show in this game, especially related to Janus. :( I think a squeal would ruin the impact of the ending honestly. I liked the opened ended nature. :)

  • Wild arms 1, 2 and 3 are the best!

Intro for wild arms 1 is epic, have the game for ps1 :P

  • This game was easily the best in the WA series. The HEX system kinda broke the series for me. I like games like this.

  • @Tikku4ever

So much truth in this. And the way the ability system worked out was so much better than when they regressed to using MP again in WA4. v_v WA3 is easily the best in the series, though I have a strong fondness for WA2 and Altercode F.

  • @wovenchimera I agree with what you said. WA1-3 were the best. I hated how broken the bosses were in WA4. (Jeremy, I'm looking at you.) But these games were the reasons I fell in love with Wild Arms. In all seriousness, you are correct. WA is amazing

  • i missed the anime intfo for the 5th one >.>

  • This game is remarkable. In my opinion this should have become an anime.

  • I just want to hug this game and never let go. This was one of those "Blockbuster rentals" I never wanted to let go, I wish I had finished the game but when I re-rented it I had no idea where I was or what I was doing in the game after weeks of not playing it.

  • I remembered playing this when I was little...

  • I thought about playing this again from the beginning >3< I never got to get the characters together till I started from my old save file and I hate the names for the characters hehe

  • Wow this brought back so many good memories. Fun times...now I want to play it again lol.

  • Clive is just the best ... He's gorgeous. *___* *drools*

  • Best characters ever, and most difficult RPG. But man how I loved it. WANT A A SECOND PART!

  • I felt like this game should've been one of those greatest games that got people's attention. The story, the music, the gameplay, everything that made this game unique at least to me, better than compared to the other titles. Plus, I personally like the Wild ARMS 3 characters and they should've made a series with just them <3

  • So, I just managed to get hold of a copy of Wild ARMs 2 for the first time (it never came out over here in England)... and I just noticed that Janus' weapon is a Bayonet like what Ashley uses :P

  • hehehe this brings back some memories. This was one of the best wild arms games in the series.Second only to the one with Rudy as the main hero. Thanks for the upload

  • Omg, I freaking love this game~! X3

  • Damn. Why does some people think they want a character whos a boy? What, you want every game hero to be a boy? Have some girl heros for once. Virginia is just a beginner Drifter and shes trying new stuff. So we can't blame her :P

Wow. Can't believe some of the people judged the game immediately. If you only play the game and hear Virginia's story, you would understand.

  • @Reinko96 Tell me about it, I'm happy when a fame has female Protagonist instead of a guy. It spices the game up a bit more and Virginia played her role very well

  • @Munty102 Wow, is it just based on that? Because if it is, then you sound pretty stupid and sexist. virginia may have been annoying, but even if she was male, nothing would have changes

  • that was a great game. Played it through and enjoed it fully.

  • i have the whole series of games on disk still save 5 idk there was a five lol. great games luv 1 and 2 did not beat 4 yet cuz of just growing up ; ; too many games to play not enough time. wish i was a kid again and all i had to do was clean up and play nes and the such .. i never like the girl leads >.>

  • Ah Wild Arms. The first three games (and the remake of the first one) will always have a special place in my heart. The 4th one I'm still struggleing to get back into due to the not-so-good intro movie, the so-so voice acting, the somewhat bland story, and the hex combat system. I'll finish it one day just for the sake of finishing it. Dare I ask how the 5th one is?

  • I have this game AND the first one! :D

  • ... I miss this game :'(

  • this game has 5 openings? amazing! :O

  • Great intro, but i do like part 1 more. x)

  • Best freakin' game ever. :|

  • No tomorrows, no regrets. THATS IS EPIC.

  • @ractopiu

    YUP! :D

  • I love how in most manga/anime they fight just to look cool !!!! i mean serious, if someone was aiming a gun at my face and i at theirs i would f**** shoot :))

  • @thecomputerist They tend to have that sort of standoff in just about everything that involves guns. Hell, they even pulled that in Pirates of the Caribbean.

The reason you don't pull the trigger is simple: it's possible that in their death-spasms, they pull the trigger. If you want the other guy dead, and don't care if you make it, go ahead and shoot. You might get lucky..well, do you feel lucky? Punk?

    ..sorry, couldn't resist.

  • @BlueDemonofFire am i trigger happy ?.....well yes i would be.....i'm not sure how someone can pull the trigger after you shot them in the head.....even more if you moved right before you shot !

  • @thecomputerist As I said, death spasm. All it takes for a gun to fire is that finger to twitch..and you try moving before you shoot, I think the other guy will start running and gunning too.

  • wild arms the first one was the best <3

  • @SebTheOtaku The video changes depending on what you've already done in the game. Like this video doesn't show the main villain and stuff. Once you pass a certain point it changes and once you're fully into the main story it changes again to the last video for the opening. I don't think the song changes though.

  • love wild arms love the song love the music XD

  • I haven't in my whole life played this game but I don't like the opening they should have just replaced it with instrumental

  • Hmm I thought the first opening was the whistling one?

  • @Acelif There are two versions. Um I think if you press certain buttons on your controller you get the vocal version.

  • @SebTheOtaku It's supposed to play whenever you load a save.

  • @SebTheOtaku it's been several years since i last played this game but i believe you have to beat all the character intros first before you get a game intro

  • My bad but i just feel like everything these days just can't match those in the past, rpg, music, etc........sad :(

Still love Wild Arms and FF series but WA 1 is the best!! :)

  • Is this really the first opening? As far as I remember the first had no lyrics...

  • @MaxRaine you have to push random buttons to make it sing.

  • @RushBurnstrike Sorry, but I'm not an idiot...

  • Thumbs up if if Paws top 9 brought you here.

  • @megamandbz what?

  • Comment removed

  • @Cherucha Paws a music critic for tgwtg

  • I personally liked this opening. It don't have much story content, but the song fits really great with their adventure's scenes.

  • The third and last REAL Wild Arms game.

  • Memories...

  • I personally like the first Wild Arms intro better, tho this one had some cool stuff too.

  • I used to watch my dad play this when i was a little girl, and Virginia was my favorite because she was the girl leader. =] It wasn't long until i tried playing it myself, and loved it... but we only had the demo version D:

I always thought Wild ARMs 3 had the prettiest music and one of the best RPGs i've ever seen. Watching this gave me goosebumps, and i now have the song in my ipod. x) Thanks for the uploads, this intro's awesome & brings memories^^

  • @animeXangel25 You need to get the full game! It's definitely on my top 10 list of video games.

  • @animeXangel25

    Good for u. ^__^

  • @animeXangel25 How little are we talking? And wild arms 3 was easily the worst wild arms for me cause it had an annoying girl lead

  • @animeXangel25 i 100% agree with you i like the original game so i bought this one but it is so much better good music good story line, characters. BEST GAMES EVER

  • @animeXangel25 then u have ALOT of rpgs to play sadly...

  • This opening was absolute garbage compared to the 1st 2... glad I never played this one...

  • @ElementalEcho Way to say like a moron XD

  • @hiro1001 I'm sorry to disappoiint, but I was a huge Wild Arms fan growing up and it was the perfect touch of grasping who the characters were and their struggles throughout the game...this crap was just another anime opening... hate me if you wish.

  • @ElementalEcho This video is actually very well done, and the lyrics are very powerful. The video shows the close bond that the group forms throughout their adventures, showing them together more often than the first two games videos. The fact is, the older videos show very little of their friendships, usually show casing the characters one by one, which is far more like an anime opening than this one, showing the characters together in most scenes, as they are together 90% of the time.

  • @ElementalEcho That comment made me throw up a little, are you serious?

  • BEST. FUCKING. OPENING. EVER.

  • the best opening EVER ! I have all the parts of "Wild Arms" but "Wild Arms 3" I like the most in every way

  • I barely remember anything about this game except that Clyde and the Cloud-doppelganger were badasses in my opinion, and Virginia was the leader.

  • Played this as a kid, never beat it. I had it on a rental..

But this game definitely reminds me of Kingdom Hearts - a game I played as a kid, I liked, my brother who was a much better gamer than I at the time hadn't/had no interesting, it was "my game" and I was decent at it. But whenever I picked it up again, I had no idea what I was supposed to be doing (I'd put it down for a long period of time).

Just one of those pieces of the past that makes you contemplate I guess. Beautiful opening.
