Yo, I met Freshco and DJ Miz at a little concert they had in Atlantic City,NJ. Yo, if either of you two Brothers check this out yell at. It's Choo-Choo from Atlantic City,NJ...remember, I was actually gonna dance with your Boy Shawn..hahaha...PEACE!!!!!
Would you take a look at those mobile phones back then...they were bricks!!! Lol. I need one of those for Halloween to complement my box haircut and dookey rope chain.
hold on to that thought, cause i know a few ppl that have dusted off the 1200's to put in credible work.......cant make up my mind if want to do it again!
Westbanker with lots of love to my south LA and MS brothers that lost stuff to Katrina! Hope we never see anything like that ever again! I've loved this song ever since I first heard Rob Fresh spinning it on WYLD 98 Friday nights.
Man this is what hiphop/rap is....... And stil SHOULD BE!! Fuck this bollox of today...... When it comes to todays rap i DON'T buy AND I DON'T PLAY!!..
I gotta get one of those jackets. I remember when this song came out in the fall 1990. Miz used to dj for Ice Cream Tee also. Miz come from a great history of dope deejays from philly, Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, and himself.
A DJ just pulled this classic out and spun it on the radio and I nearly lost my mind. I haven't yeard this joint in years wow!!!!!! One of the most slept on tracks in Hip Hop period real talk. Did this dudes really not drop an LP or an EP? Big up's to Freshco & DJ Miz especially Miz killin it on the Gold or Gold plated Vinyl. One!!!
i doubt that jeff would have just been a well known philly dj..remember cashmoney..marvelous was garbage but yet dude is well known outside of philly...jeff could have had any philly emcee or nyc emcee....son is dat nice
CashMoney is not Dope!!!! Dj Joe Cooley Gave it too him hands down!!Go too Dj Joe Cooley Page on Myspace and listen too the battle and get back at me!!
if cash aint dope..y did he win the dmc battle and then was banned the following year...and the year after that the only dj willing to challenge him was jazzy joyce..from queens
cash is good..jazzy joyce is good..but djs back then compared to now..jeff has em beat...remember the jmj tribute on the hip hop honors with grand master flash, kid capri and dj premier...jeff stood out and they are all legends
U rite He did!!The student is Neva greater than the Master!!!Jeff was taught By somebody!!Just like somebody taught A.I. the crossover!!In the Hood there is somebody that was dope as Fuck and didnt make for whatever reason!!But they taught many but dont get mentioned or get credit for it!!
who the hell are talkin THAT backward shit! you talk about 20 years ago fool. Cashmoney is the most innovative dj period. He was juggling sounds and reinventing the transformer before EVERYBODY!! My guess is that your one of these newbie suckas who hang off qbert's nut hairs and suck every NON-BLACK DJ'S dick when they scribble some wack ass non rhythmatic flare shit!
SOME ASIAN CHICK? that tells me right how you and the rest of these bitches think!
your probably one of dumbest foolz on here! Cash dropped the peter piper routine and killed it. joe cooley fucked up on his last set! thats how cashmoey won! either your anti-philly or anti-black dj probably both. Crack stands for Cracker!
In order to get it, I had to record this on Yo! at my friends house, transfer the video to audio cassette , edit it and spin off a dub just in case this one got chewed.
Damn, I bought a couple of copies of this back in the day. It was very hard to get even back then, still haven't even opened one of them. I wanted to BE DJ Miz, Alladin, DJ Scratch & Steve D.
this is REAL hip-hop. this shit that they play today is bullshit. Artists today need to some research and learn the ROOTS of their craft, or get the hell outa the game. this is where it's at.
Ain't nuttin' like Miz's appearance with Aladdin on Yo MTV Raps back in the day!!!! It took me a year to correctly learn to do Miz's 'Jack the Ripper' routine from that show...
I Agree- Miz, Tat Money, Cash money, Scratch, Jazzy Jeff, they all came from a different sense of battle DJ- their scratching worked and flowed with the music- Don't see that kind of DJing much today- Take Common's "Go" for instance- The scratching is obviously battle style and does not flow at all with the song.
Please tell me that you still have, or have the "Yo! Mtv Raps" DJ Miz/Aladdin ep. footage??!?...Dude, you just made me call my mom to see if she has my old collection of rap videos on VHS tape,...'cause I know that I have it on tape, If she sill has them?!?...the thing is she lives in SoCal now & I'm in Mich.,..good thing is I'll be going out there to visit soon though!...can't wait to see that episode of "Yo!", it was one of the reasons that I got into spinnin' tables seriously!...Please share?
