  • That was amazing! how long did it take you to get this piece down? all the arpeggios look daunting.

  • @JHighland1 Thank you for your comment.

I am not sure about that. I studied it when I was a student.

    Maybe about 3 months...

  • How many years have you played the piano? It's quite a performance!

  • Thank you for seeing it.

I have played the piano about forty years.

  • thank you so much - a beautiful performance!

i'll never again have tolerance for complaints of "i can't play it, my hands are too small"

  • You are amazing! I wish I could play like you. Please stick with it, so you can keep up this level of talent! I love this piece.

  • Thanks for sharing, good job.

  • Absolutely amazing!!!

    Do you have a CD?

Everything I have seen on YouTube by you is wonderful. I especially love the Debussy.

  • Thank you so much.

I don't have my own CD.

I also love Debussy's pieces, but difficult to make a lot of sounds for me.

  • You have a wonderful gift & if you are missing something, it is minor & I am not hearing it. I admit I am not musically trained, but I study classical on my own & listen to Debussy more than any other composer and your performances are as lovely as any I have heard (and I have A LOT!). Record a CD. I would buy it! Your interpretation is lovely and your passion for the music is obvious. I have subscribed to your site, so keep the Debussy coming!

    Wonderful!!!

  • Thank you sooooo much!

Now I don't practice new Debussy'S pieces, just keep Images book1, I'll try Images book2 next year.

I'm studying Beethoven sonata, Rachmaninoff etude Op.39-6, Chopin etude Op.25-12, Schumann piano concerto and many two pianos pieces now, so no more time to practice...

    Anyway, thanks a lot!

  • Well, Debussy aside, Rachmaninoff, Chopin and Schumann are all favorites of mine, so I wouldn't mind seeing you perform any of those.

You really should record a CD. Your passion and your gift are astounding. Best regards.

  • This is really really good playing of rather difficult debussy work, however your pianissimos could be a lot softer. I'm not sure if it's just the fact that it's a small room without much room for the dynamic contrast of a big hall, but they don't sound that quiet. It's good to have that contrast in pieces like this.

  • im amazed!

this is the note for note performanc i have ever seen of one of debussy most busy and difficult works. you should be very proud.

  • You have wonderful hands :]

  • That's very pretty!

  • I spend for computer just 1 or 2 hours per a day.

    I don't feel any pain.

  • You are amazing and i have subscribed to your channel

    ~ , ^

  • Thank you!! I'm so glad!

  • I agree - dynamic range didn't come through so well, but I'm pretty sure it's the camera - it probably uses compression, etc to pick up soft and loud sounds. The Yamahas are pretty good, eh? Very nice piece very well executed!

  • Thank you for your comment.

I recorded this video about 3 years ago. I used an old disital video at that time, and an editing soft. maybe it was the reason, or not, I am not sure.

Anyway, I do like this piece, I like all of "Pour le piano", but it is my special one. Thanks again!

  • it's my favorite from the set, too.

  • You too? yes, it's wonderful pieces.

  • Dynamic variation didn't come through well, but I bet that was either the piano or the camera. I LOVED your phrasing and your technique was impressive.

  • Thank you for watching it & your comment.

    >but I bet that was either the piano or the camera

I also don't know which one is.

I don't have correct technique, so I have to work hard now. I do make effort, just it.

    Anyway, thank you!

  • Thank you for watching it & your comment.

I also love this piece. It's my first Debussy. I learned it when I was 15.

  • Thank you for your comment. Yes, this piece is a bit difficult.

    >with brilliance!

Really? I'm soooooo glad! Thanks again.

  • wow i really love it! better than ur clair de lune. i think this type of faster debussy piece is perfect for ur style. oh and just in case u cant read german that guy has only good things to say, too vvvv

  • Thank you for watching it too.

ah, yes, I can't read German. Thank you!

  • Whoa! That's awesome! I love this song!!

  • Thank you for watching it & your comment. I also love this piece very much!

  • wow you are bad ass...this is really amazing..you are really really really amazing with the piano

  • Thank you for watching it, and thanks your comment.

  • Thank you again. Wow! Really? you watched all of my videos...? Thank you very much...

  • wow that's amazing.

  • Thank you!!!

  • dude i love you. ive been trying to find someone play this. thanks. =D you are amazing

  • Thank you for watching it and your comment. This piece is my favorite one in Debussy's composition. thanks !

  • AWESOME!!! I play piano also, but my hands play very nervously. Your hands look so relax; therefore, you sound s and play so much better than I. My hands lack agility. They are a little stiff.

  • Thank you for your comment! I am so glad! Yes,I am also be neurvous sometimes, and can't be relax especially in shoulders. You & I should relax and do stretch, deep breathig before playing.
