To answer your question about justice league unlimited - Super girl is in every other shot because each opening had shots from that particular episode, and in that particular episode, she and Green arrow were the focal point hero's.
Gargoyles: Childhood memories *.* loved that cartoon
X-Men: never liked it...
Samurai Champloo: Even though I really love animes and Samurais, this one never got my attention... Watched about 2 episodes and decided that is sucks(in my opinion)
G.I. Joe: Don't know it
Alvin and the Chipmunks: It's just funny :D
Batman: Just awesome... Even compared to today, the drawing style pwnes
I REALLY wish you did some work with the sound before putting this together. For the most part it's alright, but having X-Men blast insanely loud then having Samurai Champloo be damn near inaudible isn't exactly effective.
damn not only were the shows better than the shit on today. the music was a hundred times better too. "the best of both worlds" has absolutely nothing on the music composed for gargoyles
They dont make cartoons like this anymore. WTF happend?? now what u see on tv its sex, teenage sluts and talking sponges! No wonder why kids today are so fucked up.
Sure: Thundercats, Inhumanoids, TMNT(first season only), He-man, Tigersharks. Jayce and the wheeled warriors. Muppet babies, Count duckula, Captian N- the game master, The REAL Ghostbusters. Remember, some may be a bit dated now, but classics. That should give some things to watch. Now, my last point is to correct a mistake that I think you may want to change. You stated that "pretty much every show from the 90's were great cartoons". You saying Eek the cat, is better than what ive listed here?
You know... some of these cartoons are still pretty good even when view as adults; some are downright moronic and really aren't any better than what is out today. Nostagia seriously clouds people's judgement...
@SergeantLuke Dude, if you think 80's cartoons were crap, then what do YOU consider great cartoons? Id like a few examples, so that we know you aren't in need of some help.
@egnod Not ALL '80s cartoons were bad. There were some good ones- Transformers, G.I. Joe, Robotech, Ducktales, and a few others- but the majority were merchandise-driven bilge. As for what I consider great cartoons, I'd have to say pretty much every one from the '90s.
@SergeantLuke Ok, 2 points: First, Gijoe, and transformers are probably the most merchandise driven of ANY cartoons EVER. I mean Hasbro killed off 99% of G1 transformers (including optimus prime) just so that they could launch a new line of transformer toys. Second point: unless you actually grew up with the great 80's shows, which are sorely unrepresented in this vid, then you really don't know what you are/were missing.
@egnod Transformers and GI Joe were indeed merchandise-driven, but they were also genuinely good shows (in my opinion, of course). And if you can name some other non-crap 80s shows, I'd be happy to change my mind.
@CeresBimbo u r doing a GOOD thing ALL parents should learn from u!! *i plan on doing the same no way in high heaven r my kids going to watch garbage*
I agree, after 2005 or 2006 when they cancel Teen Titans and Justice League Unlimited its when I started to loose interest in cartoons these days. The only thing that kept me interested was watching the last episodes of TMNT and Avatar the last airbender.
sigh* such fond memories...when cartoon violence was...well violent o.o and also when alot of cartoons were more american animation then anything eles.
I think the reason some of these cartoon shows were so awesome was for the simple fact that they did present more mature themes along with the cartoon aspect (Anime tho has always been good tho). The shows now a days forget that kids can understand mature concepts, not just baby crap.
Anyone remember back around 2000 when FOX aired a show that was very much resembling a mix of ( Star Craft and Star Ship Troopers) and it was a motion picture. please anyone that remembers the name of if please tell me.
Many people say that the 90's and the 80's were the years where cartoons were awesome and fun, then when the year 2000 came, cartoons went downhill from there and everything started to get sour and rotten. I agree that older cartoons were way better than today's cartoons, but there were SOME good shows out there in the earlys 2000's, like for example The Weekenders and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003). But to be honest, It's sadly true, most of the good cartoons are long gone by now.
OtakuDeju: I didn't know that. But the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the original series have another opening starting in 1994 through the final season in 1996.
Fred Penner, Sharon, Lois & Bram, Mr. Dress-up some that I lovvved watching as a kid. Ohya I seen Gargoyles. Had to download the first three season. Oh and What about Biker Mice From Mars :D Loved that one. Cartoons were so much better when I was a kid.
I know you didn't put these in any type of order but great job putting X-men in the first group, they were always and still my favorite superhero team.
who here remember CAPTAIN PLANET!!! and JEM!gargoyles freaking rock!!!! and X-men!!! alvin and the chipmunks!! oh lord this brings back memories, good job dude!! these vids of yours made me happy ^W^
The internet and Youtube give me the chance to watch all those cartoon series again I loved so much as a kid. And I like to watch video's like these, they give me the chance to discover some new stuff too. I never heard of that Gargoyles serie but it really looks like my kind of thing. If I knew it when I was a kid I would've definitely been a fan ^^
OMG I'm so glad someone put Gargoyles up here I loved this so much as a kid and no one else seems to remember it and it had so many awesome voices (Keith David, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirits, Michael Dorn Kate Mulgrew), okay so I might think they're great because most of them are in Star Trek XD but meh it was an awesome series
Man i want to be young again, this was the time where the world was ok. Going home after school turning on TV and watching this awesome cartoons, no ensures about marks and the future.
I am 17 now and i have to say: Goddamn i miss the old times. this is kinda sad
@iSonGoten Actually, the category "cartoon" goes for stuff like the Tiny Toons, these have their own name in Japanese: kodomo, so stuff officially for up to ~12-year-olds. It's common to think cartoons="anything animated", but then shopped "A Scanner Darkly" is a cartoon, too- but that's a drama.
Animes airing outside Japan are usually for teens and above and shouldn't be introduced as kid's stuff. This category is an "art" form, and genres like romance or sci-fi are just diverging from it.
wow my wife doesn't even remember Jem, I remember her action figure (doll) was way bigger then any one out there at the time, he-man should have been with GI Joe, and hope the smurfs are on part 2
anyone remember back around 2000 when FOX air a show that was so much to resemble a mix of ( Star Craft and Star Ship Troopers). please anyone that remembers the name of if please tell me
90's cartoons killed it, kids now a days don't get much of a "great" variety of cartoons to choose from. Hell even the Simpsons are garbage now a days...
watching this drag me back to my old days where i sit in front of my TV all day watching these...i am grown up now but i still like to watch these things again..now a days children watch nothing but crap stories...
IMO I wouldn't count Samurai Champloo, I think the anime was more of a Mini Series then a regular anime. I do admit the girl in it was pretty cute :3
Also, is Plastic Man in the Justice League Unlimited series?
dood, batman was so badass. their animation was simple but not lazy (like cartoons today). and their stories weren't afraid to get serious or sad. even as a kid, i could appreciate that.
This reminds me of a bunch of old vids uploaded on youtube a few years back. There were a series of vids(by the same poster) that showed 60's, 70's,80's,90's, and 2000's cartoon intros(with there own separate parts of course). They were glorious IMO, Does anyone know what happened to them? Were they taken down? Please reply if you know.
@SonicXmario50 They were titled "80's cartoon into overload/explosion" some of the parts are still out there but some of the sections have been taken down due to copyright garbage. I know the TMNT intro is about impossible to find anymore, because the lawyers have absolutely nothing better to do.
@SonicXmario50 I know what you mean. Just imagine.... that is someones job. Their purpose in life it to probably google search their own stuff and then flag it to be taken down. Wow, what a champion of what is good and virtuous huh? Bunch of half wits with too much time on their hands if you ask me. And they wonder why I just download stuff from the Pirate Bay all the time. Just to piss them off. LOL.
what happened to the good old cartoons? i haven't seen seen a single cartoon these days that even come near the looney toons or the good old fashion DC heroes. now a days you only see crap on tv tbh
@thedevilcancry you need to look at anime to get a decent cartoon these days. I lol at how some of the stuff that was in Looney toons would cause the shows to be canceled, and all of the artists and writers thrown in jail these days.
@Poptartza Anime in general is pretty terrible too in my oppinion. There are only a few exceptions on anime series I like, but other then that. It's pretty bad.

@MrClarkisgod
thx bro :)
God damn these companies. No one did anything wrong with those vids, nobody made a profit from them. Whats the big deal? ugh...

LOL.

thx youtube for stealing part 2, 3 and 4.
thx a lot
i really appreciate how hard copyrights are weighted here.
cause showing a 10 second clip would turn warner, sony et al into bankruptcy an make the uploader a fckn billionair.
thx a lot, really.

what happened to the good old cartoons? i haven't seen seen a single cartoon these days that even come near the looney toons or the good old fashion DC heroes. now a days you only see crap on tv tbh

@thedevilcancry What about sonic the hedgehog? sonic x sucks, or at least the 4kids dub
totaldramafan24 1 year ago
@thedevilcancry you need to look at anime to get a decent cartoon these days. I lol at how some of the stuff that was in Looney toons would cause the shows to be canceled, and all of the artists and writers thrown in jail these days.
Poptartza 1 year ago
@Poptartza Anime in general is pretty terrible too in my oppinion. There are only a few exceptions on anime series I like, but other then that. It's pretty bad.
InfestedHydralisk 1 year ago
@thedevilcancry batman, superman, and the justice league ws great. the marvel shows were good too. i rarely find cartoons that i like now.
