There was more than a floor mat issue there. I don't think its fair to say that Toyotas don't hold together but being unsafe is even worse. The big 3 had gotten lazy and started making unreliable junk (cavalier, taurus, neon, about 1000 others). They seem to have just turned it around. Safety however, is on a whole different level. As bad as it is to have a piece of shit that breaks down a lot, a piece of shit that kills you is even worse. That is Toyota's problem. Not reliability.

I agree man. The big 3 have produced some modernized, strong classic American heavy metal muscle in the Camaro, Challenger & Mustang. For speed & style these cars are the only ones that matter to me. We also have nice economical cars for folks looking for that. There shouldn't be only 7 U.S. models in the Top 15 cars/trucks sold in the U.S. for 2010.

Faster.. well.. speed got very little to do with how good a car is. Gumpert Apollo is fastest car on the TopGear test track. Does that make it best in the world ? Hardly. The world record top speed SSC Aero still cant sell any cars. European cars are however way more modern and in general alot better. wrong DJJA, there are twin turbo vettes out there with 1,000-1300 hp, that will exceed 250mph and completely rip your face off with it's takeoff. the one reaching 260mph in the standing mile acheieved in a mere 20.13 seconds.and that car beats every other car on the planet, and by the way has a 1.98 second 0-60 time, and is street legal. So you can put more hp in it and still keep in on the road, may have a hard time finding enough highway where the sslower 80 mph drivers are not in your way.

not really. The zr1 has the same 0- 60 and 1/4 mile times as the lp560 and the lp640. Plus around a track the lamborghinis are so much easier to drive. With a professional driver ya the zr1 will prolly inch away but not everyone can drive the zr1 and put all the power down to the ground.

Vette sounds WAY better. If you say the Lambo has a better interior, all I can say is that it should for having 2.2 times the price tag. Try the new ZR1 on for size, it costs more, but still a lot less than the Lambo, and will beat it's ass black and blue even worse.

not really. The zr1 has the same 0- 60 and 1/4 mile times as the lp560 and the lp640. Plus around a track the lamborghinis are so much easier to drive. With a professional driver ya the zr1 will prolly inch away but not everyone can drive the zr1 and put all the power down to the ground.

Fuck muscle cars, they may be somewhat fast in a drag race, but if you throw in turns, they will get raped because of the poor handling and shitty technology. and also, look at the reliability, they all suck.

im a mechanic at a chevrolet dealership in northeast texas, dont underestimate a vette, they are extremely fast cars, and getting faster. +30 miles a gallon to boot.

How can you justify the Lambo having 10 cylinders and all-wheel-drive, and still lose to the Corvette Z06???....the lambo has two more pistons than the vette and the Z06 still beats it!!!....also, Z06 gets 30 MPG while the Lambo only manages 10 MPG...WOW!!!..that tells you something about American engineering!!

hang on under which circumstances does the vette get 30 and the lambo get 10? one is in sixth gear on full cruise and chilling and the lambo is going wot. and keep in mind this lambo has 5.0 liters. the vette has 7.0 liters. on a fair comparison note a gallardo is a nicer sounding, looking, better interior car imo and the people who buys them can buy a z06 on the side too. so what you said is stupid.

Vette sounds WAY better. If you say the Lambo has a better interior, all I can say is that it should for having 2.2 times the price tag. Try the new ZR1 on for size, it costs more, but still a lot less than the Lambo, and will beat it's ass black and blue even worse.
