I have always really enjoyed your videos .. I consider myself to be a very good fisherman... I observed something that puzzles me ... At 4:41 of this clip you notice that somehow ,, the hook has entered from the outside of this fishes mouth ..It makes me think that it must have been put on the hook rather than caught ...??? The hook was poked through a pretty thick part of the lip ,, and again it somehow jumped from the outside through its lip ?? just curious .. lol ..

@guahould I've caught several fish from the outside of the lip, some in the eye, gills, stomach and the side of their back. When the fish are swinging their head/body behind the lure trying to bite it they sometimes miss and swing into the hook and it pokes into the outside of the fish with the barb facing in.

@descargaelbano Well ,, so have I caught many fish that have got hooked in the wrong spot ,, but the one I am pointing out just looks too well hooked with a bait hook yet .. now I suppose it is possible that the fish was carrying the bait off away from the fisherman with the hook on the outside of its mouth when the hook was set ... just seems strange .. some people will do strange things to juice up their stories or videos..

Not saying this is the case here ,, but to me is suspicious ..

@guahould None of our television fish are re-hooked ever. What you are seeing is bad continuity on an edit. It's 2 different fish edited together.

I once knew someone who guided at a nice lodge up north ,, he was instructed one day to go out with his other guide buddy and catch a bunch of nice pike and walleye ,, "the divers" for the certain fishing show were going to need a good supply of fish to hook on to the stars lines for the purpose of filming the show ,., now it would be quite possible for one of them to mess up and put the hook in the wrong way ... ;0)

I live in Florida and we have the SB-436 "Castle Doctrine" which means if someone breaks into my home I don't have to retreat and I can shoot them if they are armed or NOT.
