That is probably why that area was declared a "war zone", the British knew, the Germans knew, that no civilian ships were meant to be in those areas, some civilian ships got sunk because they entered these areas.

I meant absolutely no ships were aloud, not even civilians, alot of military equitment ended up in civilian ships to be transported, it isn't so easy to tell apart them 2, I hear quite a couple of civilian ships were sunk from going into the wrong areas.

We really need more of those WW2 movie/series that is showing the german side of their story. Not always the Airborne, Marines & etc... Not always showing the allies side.
Yes, the german government is bad during that time. That, everyone can't deny. But for the sake of their soldier bravery, their side of the story that has never been shown to the world. We need more of those.

Do not honor soldiers much or your children may volunteer to become soldiers and do to other people everything you taught them was wrong. Fighting a war is rarely right as its an explosion of criminal acts performed by people law-abiding in peace. These law-abiding people think they are doing something honorable because their parents honored soldiers. So don't honor them much.

Being a coward is often part of staying alive; sometimes part of running into a hail of bullets. But it's not part of standing up for one's beliefs. Obeying others is just standing up for the beliefs of others; maybe just for their careers. Look at the amount of war crimes in every war. That's not fighting evil. That's being suckered into it.

I am an American and they may have been our adversaries, but I still feel great sadness for the German soldiers who lost their lives. Obviously not the one who murdered innocent people, but the truly honorable soldiers of the Heer. May they rest easy along side the former enemies they died fighting.

@borsch21 LOL...i think you forget that the Allies bombed Europe to ruins. How about all the INNOCENT people who died in the bombing of Dresden for example. Or in Tokyo? Or in Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Besides soldiers were following orders on both sides. They fought and died for their country, and because of that, they were brave and honorable. Some of the german soldiers were "smuggling" people out from torture camps, knowing if they get caught it could be a certain death to them.

They were only uncovered by the allies near the very end, and even the jews/ minorities themselves genuinely believed they were being re-settled, until they arrived at the camps. This is NOT something that is debated by historians, it's common knowledge. aka STFU if you literally don't have a clue.

You may enjoy a book entitled "the arms of krupp", it describes how this company was heavily involved with both prior kaisers and even influenced much war(funny, because they solicited arms orders to countries which became enemies). Just mentioning cause you brought up vw and I thought you might enjoy this book on industry.

Well yeah, quite a simple trick really. Few legislations here and there, some quite significant beneficts for people who join the military and then start the general draft after that. And ofcourse well funded propaganda campaigning should not be forgotten either. And it definately should not be forgotten that Hitler alone wasn't running the circus either, you see, right people in the right places, in the right time can make all the difference.

Falling into the RAF trap of bombing civilian population centers instead of knocking out British airfields, which cost the battle of Britain and made invasion of Britain impossible. Overextending into Russia and failing to learn the lesson of Napoleon. Slaughtering and enslaving populations in Soviet occupied Eastern Europe who otherwise would have welcomed the Germans as liberators.

@aidansayshi123456789 additionally they may have won if hitler haden't been quite as stupid as he was. after all the nazi's had the world's very first assault rifle, which would have created an incredible advantage in the war if it was more widely produced and issued EARLIER in the war. instead only a few unites were able to use the weapon and this was done in secret for fear of punishment by hitler. i mean if the jew-killing money was put into assault rifles that alone may have turned the tide.
