Wow this is beautiful area, yeah i remember granddad mention about the dam bomber while he was RAAF fighter pilot and he was send to RAF (exchange officer for WW2) he did mention about training bombing, he said when u drop that bomb it roll and smash the wall that will exploded, while they did training it was very difficult task because the ball bomb is easy to bounce off the dam he bearing remember that ball bomb it about 10,000lb that was enough to kill 100 people,
Hi Dear Christina!!! You get around a bit! *lol* ;o) I was just over on holiday in England visiting my lovely Mum, Family and Friends, I only flew back to Munich this time last Sunday and I'm home sick already :o( ...But thanx a million for making me laugh with your very funny comments on Twish1999's Channel! It's great fun getting to know you a wee bit!
You're so lucky to live over there where there is SO MUCH history right outside of your front door. I mean yes, I live in Philadelphia and sure we've got some history here but, really, it only goes back a few hundred years at most, over there, that's like yesterday. :) So, what in the world are we going to do to convince those two that they should get married eh? :)
Give 'em time, those kids will have to grow into it I guess. :)
Baveria? Ooohhh, it must be beautiful there with the fall having started and all the leaves turning. Plus I just love to see old architecture, seriously old, not like around here where my mom lives in a 300 year old house and it's like "Oh well, another row house". :)
Nice to see Peter taking you to the interesting and beautiful spots in Derbyshire Teddington i think for the test if my memory serves me right ,looks like you had good weather as well. your mum was on the pull :-) singer and cook too.
Hi Dear Al!!! Thanx a million for watching & leaving your lovely comments! Yes, you are 100% correct, the tests were done at Teddington, Middlesex, just dowe the road from where I grew up.
My Mum says: "Thank you!" She's ALWAYS singing from morning until night! :D
Hi my Dear Dave, thanx a million for watching & leaving your comments! I LOVE history too, that's why we asked Peter to take us to the Derwent Dam. Actually, Peter & Ivan did meet when Mum & I returned back to the Car Part Dear Ivan was already there & we introduced the men to each other! :D
Very cool, I've been spending lots of business time in Durham City and hope to visit IWM in Jan 2012

Wonderful!
I'm sorry Peter and Ivan didn't meet... I love Russian accents. (okay, it was a stretch)
What was the song mum was humming? I loved it.
I love this kind of history... and the fact that the countries are now friends.
You guys are made of great stuff.
