  • my son has not been officially diagnosed yet but he has to have oral stimulation all...the time....I notice he is always putting things in his mouth, biting even when not frustrated, blowing random raspberries on people

  • oh my good lord. my 3 year old son always has something in his mouth,it drives me nuts. he chews on wood,plastic,paper,cotton...anything that isnt food. and he gags when he has to have food in his mouth. and so many other symptoms its unreal, plus older sis has autism and dr's wont listen to me when i say something is not right with him.

  • I cried watching your videos. Your sweet Anna is just like my daughter. It's reassuring knowing there are other children with PDD-NOS. Trying to figure out what to do next.

  • my 23 year old PDD-NOS friend does this still! She always has. I find she perferrs rubery chewy things. We are trying to change from random objects to spacific ones. We have bought her vareous teething rings and rubery kids toys like strechy frog. We also have her stocked with a ready suppky of lollipops

  • all lil kids do that. has probbaly nothing to do with autism.

  • i don't think you know what you're talking about. my daughter was diagnosed with PDD-NOS and acts and talks the same way this little girl does. Toddlers put this in their mouths not typical older children.

  • i have pdd-nos myself.

so you can say what you want.

i still think this is a fase that some kids do. i repeat some. But mayby you are right , and i simply forgot i did it too.

  • aside from that,

because evry pdd nos kid/adult/teenager is difrent. i have a friend who is now on a 'normall 'school while i was on a handicapped school.

even our eq and iq are difrent.

  • @The87CheshireCat I'm assuming you don't know much about little kids in general. A phase lasts only a few months and this is normal for children from about 9-18 months but not for a child this age. This was one of the main issues we had with our 4 year old who is also diagnosed with PDD-NOS and has a lot of the same issues sweet Anna does.

  • @The87CheshireCat Not true, I have an 13 year old with PDD-NOS and he is constantly putting things in his mouth.

  • My son does the same thing with oral stim he always has something in his mouth, shirts, toys, whatever he can find I also watched ur other video and my son does the same thing with repetitiveness. Hes going to be evaluated in a couple of months for pdd-nos.

  • My girl constantly puts things in her mouth as well. Lik Tiffany, it has been hard accepting the diagnosis of PDD-NOS, but seeing your daughter, the more videos I watch, the easier it is becoming to accept that. I have learnt more on here in the past few days, than I have learnt in over 3 years my daughter has been diagnosed. Thank you.

  • omg,,,your videos,,,they are my child so so much..things i didnt even realize my kid did until i saw your videos,,i am like dangit maybe she really is pdd-nos you want to convince yourself otherwise but after seeing this,,,my child is,,,

  • I'm afraid for my son to be vaccinated for his 1 year check up!

  • The CDC has declared that there is NO risk in getting your kid vac. PLEASE!! Don't let YOUR fear keep your child from being safe!!! You child CAN DIE from NO polio vac, they CAN die from NOT having their MMR....Whooping Cough CAN KILL them....Please don't do this to your child!!

BTW, my two grandchildren have Autism, which they inherited from their Father...who has ASPERGERS. There are other things that are in our enviorment that could be causing the increase...btw...I work in Med. Fld.

  • @yankeegurl62 get real yankeegirl62,there has been a 6000 increse in autism since the rise in vaccines.there are already proven direct links from vaccines to autism.ALL disease were on a HUGE decline far before vaccines were introduced.do some research, dont be a sheep and dont push your uneducated OPINION on people who know the FACTS.working in the medical field doesnt mean you know crap,it only means that you proffit off of shooting people up with toxic vaccines.

  • @instagasm I'm as real as you can get. MY GRANDSON who LIVES WITH me has autism.he suffers daily...with out your anger and attacks let me say this.I wouldn't trade my Grandson for anything.Yes, I wish he didn't have autism, I wish he could speak, and he wasn't so agressive. He was showing hypotonia BEFORE he was 6months, he has frontal lobe abnormalities.his birth father has autism.we were to find out later...his elder sister has PDD/NOS...so yes I know what I talking about. I still Immunize

  • Ahh, I know this issue well - my son is going through more of this right now. This issue seems so innocuous at first glance yet all of us who deal with it know how frustrating and even dangerous it can be. Thank you for posting this!
