  • @stratocaster1986able dont want to interrupt milk break at the early learning centre lads, but i dont think it's the hat that gives it away, or the dancing, you know what it might just be the fact the bloke's called fokkin jeremy kwee...jeezerz

  • The dancing is perfect... epic

  • when i was about 10years old i wrote some more lyrics to this song.

i cant really remember but there was something about going to the carwash and seagulls. il get me coat....

  • Actually that's totally who they're taking the piss out of isn't it! Hahahaha. xDDD

  • Did he borrow that hat from Jay Kay from Jamiroquai? xD

  • It's actually a good song.....

  • paul whitehouse on the flute FFS! brilliant

  • This is clearly a pisstake of Jamiroquai. (His hat gives it away)

  • @stratocaster1986able yeah also the line "i dont need no melted chocolate on the seats of my ferrari" is taking the piss out of jamiroquai, along with the dance at the end. absolutely brilliant

  • The mime act at 1:55 had me in stitches!

  • Damn, I'm trying to learn these jazz chords but they're so hard to figure out! Any jazz pros offering to help out around here?! The bass is something like E, A, D, C#, C, F, C#, B

  • @Rich7714

    Emin9 A7b5 | Dmin7 G7 | Cmaj7 F maj7 | C#min7 B7b5 | then repeat

Basically minor 2-5 going down with a weird turn-around at the end.

  • Paul Whitehouse tonguing the flute at 1:41, cannot stop laughing at it!

  • 'Car pollution Hypocrisy' - what a cool title! ;) From one of the best British comedies ever!

  • It's made even better by the fact Simon Day is about as physically dissimilar to Jay Kay as you can get.

  • paul whitehouse on the flute lmaoooooooooooo hahahahaha!

  • Hes taking the piss out of Jamiroquai obviously.

  • Acid sciffle!

  • grrrrrreat

  • "Car Pollution Hypocrisy" - ha ha, how we miss you Fast Show.

  • Acid Skiffle!!!! Amazing, the most hilarious ever! I don't need no melted chocolate on the seats... Nothing funnier!

  • Simon Day is so awesome :)

  • @skinnylegsandall19 He really is.I wish there was more of his stuff around (especially the early Tommy Cockles stuff from before The Fast Show)

  • @RodCow I agree with you. I love all his stuff. He is so talented that everything he does is special. It's never mediocre. I miss the Fast Show terribly =/

  • For some reason Mark Williams as the guitarist here always makes me laugh.

Serious expression, long white robe, beret, red shades and bizarre facial hair. Classic :D

  • @hermanJnr112 he was imitating the first bassist of jamiroquai: stuart zender! XD

  • LOL! That is soooo funny! Kumkwat!

  • Is that Johnny Depp on keyboard?

  • GOT INSIDE MY GLOVE COMPARTMENT GOT INSIDE MY HEAD

  • It's a dig at Jamiroquai. He is always going on about saving the planet, yet keeps driving performance cars...

  • Great bass. And great dance. :) My friend liked this vid a lot. RIP.

  • best! my mother was and is the wind... haha.. for me young lion it's acid sciffle hahahaha

  • Good Jamiroquai piss-take

  • I like how this series of "Jazz Club" covers all sorts of contemporary jazz - from Acid Skiffle as we see here, to reinterpretations of bebop classics and the avante garde stuff (which dispenses with the popular song AABA structure and uses a more episodic ABACADAA structure - with the non-A sections being in opposed keys and, as in episode 4, an opposed micro-tonality too.)

  • How ironic.

  • watch Paul Whitehouse with the flute btw ;p

  • I LOVE this song :P

  • oh I think I know who he's taking off. Isn't that Lenny Kravitz? With a bit of Sting thrown in!! Amazing!! Don't know what the head dress is about.. LOL!!:)

  • @kerouac61 he's parodying jamiroquai

  • @guguigugu you're not a student of sarcasm are ya?

  • @guguigugu there's not nearly enough smileys in your post to indicate that

  • @guguigugu theres no rules to sarcasm my friend. it is its own art form:)

  • @DrGonzo61 i was just being sarcastic

  • @guguigugu SURE ya were;)

  • @kerouac61 Its meant to be Jamiroquai :D

  • lol! bloody love Simon Day! what an absolute legend

  • Comedy gold at its finest!!! What a classic! QAbsolutely love this song, its hilarious!!! x

  • Jazz Club. I gotta go there!

  • @Spraycando

    Same here.

    Best. Jazz. Club. Ever!

  • sometimes in my lower moments, i cheer myself up with the knowledge that surely at some point since this sketch aired, jay kay actually saw it

  • HAHA Brilliant!

  • jamiroquai?

  • I love all of Jazz Club but this is too, too funny! ROFFLES!!

    "Acid skiffle!" :P

  • Paul Whitehouse dancing at the very end in those trousers, true class!

  • Simon Day.

  • Lmao, this reminds me of Frank Zappa.

  • you might laugh but its no fun getting melted chocolate on your car seats.

  • THE BEST - YEH?

  • who is jeremy kwee?

this is makin fun of acid jazz and jamiroquai, no?

  • I thought jamiroquai was a comedy act anyway, so this isn't that funny really in that context.

  • Jeremy kwee = Jay K from Jamiroquai, yes!

  • COOL!!

  • The 'Jazz Club' sketches were killers. I almost died watching this one.

  • Comment removed

  • this was the best jazz club ever!

  • I wonder how Jay Kay took it? I pee'd myself!

  • Love the song and want such hat! :D

  • hahaha NICE!

Anyone knows the complete lyrics of the song?

  • the real dudes club!

  • I might be insane, but am I the only one who likes the song?

  • Nope. I like it too! :P

  • No, you're not insane, lol, count on me!

  • @EnvyOfVega

    NO!!!!! It's brilliant :D

  • @EnvyOfVega no, i liked it too.

  • @EnvyOfVega lol i like it too man,

p.s., great name; "envyofvega" love it

  • @EnvyOfVega

nah, me as well, great song indeed!

"i don't need no melted chocolate on the seats of my ferrari!"

  • @EnvyOfVega

No - I wish it was a real song too!

  • @EnvyOfVega No - you are not insane!!! This has the basics of a fine song!!

  • @EnvyOfVega - NO!!!!

  • @EnvyOfVega No - you are not!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • @EnvyOfVega No - you are not!!! hahahahahahahahahahaha - Easy Runnin' Master!! LMFAO!

  • @EnvyOfVega yes

  • cool... :D

  • great stuff!!

  • "MUM" shes gone again" great stuff.

  • I find it quite sad how the guy who played Jeremy Kwee (forgot the name) got from the Fast Show to doing Powergen adverts lol.

  • His name is Simon Day - sentment echoed there AmbientMess.

  • I reall enjoy Jamiroquai, and this pastiche is so hilarous, it's quite true ^^

We have to admit that Jay Kay has some weaknesses, with contradictory speechs( Environment VS Fast cars). But this band has brought a really fresh and new sound, they are great musicians, even if you don't like the behaviour of Jay Kay (it's understandable).

  • Is that Johnny Depp on Keyboards??

    If so.........NICE!

  • I think it's Charlie Higson

  • Mark Williams as the bass player is hilarious!

  • I was crying with laughter when I noticed him in the background

  • He's a mixture of JK and Jools Holland

  • i want such hat!! xD

  • Jeremy Kwee totally owns Jay Kay. Hmmm, mellow!!

  • i kinda liked that song. i cud imagine lyrics like that by sum brasss indie band, lol.

  • i like that part too! the lyrics sound like it could be from a real song

  • it would be so chuffin' cool if JK did this one time

  • Acid skiffle is good!

  • My god, that is funny!!

The dance at the end just cracks me up!

    Classic

  • that dance is pure class. they must have pissed themselves making that. young lion. quality.

  • LOL

My mum is the wind cant you in the breeze

    Mum shes gone again....Classic

  • Jeremy Kwee sounds like Jools Holland. And lmao Acid Skiffle.

  • LOL making fun of Jarmiquai is awesome XD

  • Ripping JK :)) LOL

  • My father was a Polish-Moroccan-Franco-Austrian Jew and my mother was and is the wind

  • paul whitehouse playing the flute @ 1:40. lmao

  • Blatant Jamiroquai pisstake. Lolz.

  • aint no melted chocolates on the seat of my ferrari.... classic..

  • IT ISN'T JONNY DEPP FFS!!!!!!!!!!

  • It could be. He was a big fan of the show and he was in a sketch with the two tailors suits you, etc. Or am I getting mixed up with someone else? I dunno!

  • It was Johnny in that "Suits you" sketch, but as far as I know that was his only appearence. He would have had his face clearly visable if he was in this Jazz Club sketch.

  • Of course it's not Johnny Depp on keyboards; this is from an earlier series, he probably hadn't even seen/heard of the programme at this point. Look at 1:28 - the chap on keyboards is clearly Charlie Higson in a bad wig.

  • easy 1 and rasta he said ,this is fucking funny

  • thats johnny depp on the keyboard is'nt it???

  • Laughing so hard I'm crying!

  • mmmmmmmmm niceee

  • jazz club is in the top ten sketches of any comedy show ever

  • I love it too: Niiice! Especially 'Jeremy Kwee's dancing at the end.

I'm trying to remember one Jazz Club sketch which had interpretive dance in it - anyone know which episode it was from? I remember crying with laughter when I first saw it on tv.

  • acid skiffle lmbo!

  • DR.JOHN'S BROTHER

  • Can someone tell me what JK says when he comes out and shakes hands?

This sketch is OUTSTANDING. And that hat is too much.

"Yes, my father was a Polish Moroccan Franco-Austrian Jew, and my mother was and is the wind."

    "Mum! She's gone again."

  • "Easy Runnin' Rasta !"

  • Thanks very much for straightening me out here - I thought it was "something something buster" - but the Rasta makes perfect sense now -

  • I think he says something like "easy running rasta".....

    Hope this helps !

  • Absolutely genius, love it, one of my favourite sketches from one of my favourite shows of all time. "I said I don't want no melted chocolate on the seats of my ferrari" LMAO

  • Seriously? I could swear I've heard that track done by Jamiroquai... But you're probably right seeing as I couldn't find the lyrics anywhere.

Cheers for that one buddy muchly appreciated.

    damn sweet song too...

  • i dont want no chocolate in my ferari

  • young lion lol

  • I think it was "Virtual Insanity" by the Twat in the Hat.

  • super stuff. getting the full dvd for christmas i hope!

  • Yep definitely Charlie Higson on the keyboards. I just asked him.

  • no its not its that rhys thomas bloke. you can tell from his profile when he turns side on at 1min 35

  • er... NO. IT. IS. NOT. Charlie said it is him, rather than Rhys Thomas aka "Paul" from the Swiss Toni sketch.

  • Mummmmmmmmmm ,its gonne again ,HAHAAHHAHAA pure class

  • LOL at the jamiroquai spoof

    acid skiffle LOL

  • don't want no melted chocolate on the seat of my ferrari... classic!

  • some jazz songs are actually like this!

  • most jamiroquai is

    exept for the comedic value

the song is totally based on virtual insanity

even the chord sequence n all

    classic comedy

  • haha Jeremy Kwee = Jamiroquai, compleeeetely :D

  • If these guys ever go live im getting the first ticket AHAHAHA Johnny Depp at the Keyboards classs

  • Tonight im gonna play my new single which is called "Car Polution hipocrisy "AHAHAHAHAH You gotta love it LOLOLOL

  • Did he steel that hat from someone, swipe Adam Ants white paint stick and then act like a cockney prat.

  • Acid skiffle.Nice!

  • That's charlie higson on keyboards

  • Not Charlie Higson. It's Johnny Depp.

  • johnny depp only appeared in the "suits you "

    sketch .

  • Did everyone see Johnny Depp on keyboards? He pleaded for several cameo roles on The Fast Show after seeing it by chance on TV when visiting the UK.

  • Darn, it really is him! :D I didn't realize it until now, but it really is Johnny Depp :D

Do you know any of the other cameo-roles that he played in The Fast show?

  • Go to " Johnny Depp The Fast Show " and see him in a sketch with the Suits You Sir' guys.

  • That one I've seen already, but thanks any way :)

  • ACID SKIFFLE!

  • best sketch ever ive seen talk about takin piss owt a jk

  • Hilarious. Love all the Jazz Club sketches.

  • Ha ha ha! Class. Jay Kay!

  • i loved Jazz Club...the bastard son of Bob Harris and Roger Moore

  • Simon Day is so very underated. Remember him doing tommy cockles back in the 80's on the real mckoy.

  • Jamiroquai. Nice.

  • Damn! That song actually sounds great! Simon Day should have recorded a full version of it.

  • Tremendous! I ca'nt believe The fast show ever got critisised for being repetetive.Watching clips on youtube reminds me just how many varied themes and charachters there were.Easily the best sketch show ever and makes you realise just how wretched Ruddy hell is by comparison

  • great!

  • It is actually skiffle. Skiffle is a form of Folk Music with Jazz and Blue influences, most popular in the 50's and 60's. I sat in a room and listened to Martin Carthy talking for almost an hour about Skiffle Clubs in various places around the UK he used to play at. *looks at camera* Nice.

  • nice

  • The Fast Show is the best! Americans and... well every other country should watch and learn how to make good comedy. British are absolutely numero uno when we are talking about humour. And it´s not even opinion, it´s a fact!

  • I just woke the neighbours laughing at this.

  • I love Jamiroquai, and thus I love this!

  • jazz club was wicked!

  • mmmm NICE
