Does anybody know what's the best wi fi internet??? I mostly want to use for my ipod touch when I am in the gym so I can surf youtube while I work out.
STRAIGHT TALK uses 4 different providers, depending on the phone model you buy. Verizon(the best), ATT & T-MOBILE(awe, O.K.?) and Sprint, for their Android phones. Sprint has Rotten coverage because they have the Fewest Towers. So, just make sure which phone you are buying and Who the Provider is. If you Travel a lot, Dont Buy a Straight Talk phone that runs on the Sprint Network(St. Talk Androids), you will be sorry, very little coverage.
The price is definitely right with StraightTalk $45 unlimited! I only use my phone to talk/text so I really don't care if the phone is not the latest or greatest..although I belive that ST does carry smartphones now but I really don't care to have one. My simple Razor ST phone suits me just fine!
@RoseWThorn Why would you not care to have one?? That's the best reason to take advantage of the fact that their data plan is truly unlimited for only 45! Plus, the E71 is a damn great smartphone! Try it out!
I feel like the big carriers would loose a ton of business to the prepaid carriers of the world but I guess they put all of those high rates to work advertising like mad. Truth is as soon as I heard I can get an unlimited plan with a Verizon network for $45 a month I felt angry for paying so much all these years. I’ve had the plan for 6 months now and I’m not looking back. Sure the phones are not the it phones but come on the price is nuts
They offer a great alternative to contracts. With the verizon network, and pretty fancy smanshy phones, not at all what i expected! But the best is their is no one trying to rip you off,Straight Talk is listening to the consumers-
@jennerkaren yeah their smartphone selection is actually pretty wide. You can grab the nokia 6790 or the e71 and there you go, you pretty much have a fully functioning Blackberry or iPhone but still unlimited and pretty much at half of the cost. It's great!
@jdrasdet456 Not exactly the same thing as unlimited on the other guys, used to have iPhone and thought that I was going to get blazing fast internet but not the case. Still a great phone for the cost and a savior to people on a budget with the unlimited and no-contract stuff.
@jennerkaren Yeah They can offer their service so cheap because they don't need to upkeep towers, they use Verizon's (which is the largest) so they can give us the service dirt cheap. internet isn't so great and I've heard some gripes about customer service but the signal is better than it was on my old phone and that was a contract!
My decision to switch is mainly due to the monthly bill. Just had another look at Straight Talk's website, and was surprised to see that not only is the monthly cost affordable, but their phones are also inexpensive. I tend to disagree with the woman in the video about it being for all age groups-I'm not so sure I agree with teens having unlimited talktime, but then that's just me!
without a doubt the phones are reasonably priced. Just this christmas i bought to sliding phones, t301, one for my grandma and one for my mom. So far they are in love with their phones and their bills. I think they are more happy about not having a contract than anything else.
I wanted to get the Samsung Finesse from Straight talk but they were so popular they've sold out! Anyway I got their Nokia6790 instead and it's just as good and it's under $100.00....to that I added the unlimited use deal at $50.00 a month and I'm going to be a very happy camper in 2011!
tish100tash i strongly suggest you do. prepaid is really cool, and lately the most trendy thing to do is to go prepaid. with straight talk you can save big bucks. for $45 a month you get unlimited talk, text and data, free 411 calls and you have no activation fees to pay. long distance calls are not charges at an extra fee either. it's all the same. unlimited. and if you get the samsung finesse like me, you will feel like me....in cellphone heaven
@ papinomontelli , I saved a lot of money this year switching to straight talk also! The $500 I saved came in use this holiday season when it came to gift buying. Thanks to straight talk all my family and friends got a little extra something this christmas.
I am a basic user, Straight Talk provides basic services, and it saves me money. What does this all mean? It means I love Straight Talk and want to spread the good word.
@MsMajestic21 I believe Straight Talk's cheapest deal is their $30 for 30 days of 1,000 minutes and 1,000 texts deal. I'm also pretty sure it's the cheapest deal on the market right now. Nothing I've seen has even come close.
Haven't saved as much as you papinomontelli but i am getting close. Is been only 3 months with straighttalks 30 dollars fr 30 days plan and i have saved well over 200 dollars already. I have just what we need 1000 min and 1000 text.
I saved a wack of money this year on being on straighttalk - about $600! This has come in real handy in purchasing my xmas gifts which normally make me dead broke each year. This year I am winning and all because of my cell phone!
@papinomontelli I also plan to use my savings to buy holiday gifts this year. I was able to cut my monthly bill in half, so every month I have just put away the savings to spend, and now I have a decent amount of money to spend on gifts for friends and family :)
When I purchased the straighttalk phone from Walmart, I didn't realise just how much money I would save compared to my contract phone. It only costs me $45 for unlimited text, data and texting for 30days. Before I was paying upto $100 per month depending on my usage. I am completely happy with Straighttalk and highly recommend it to everyone.
This is no joke! Straight Talk unlimited plan is $45 and it means unlimited everything and 411 calls. I know it's available at Walmart , but you can also get great deals on their website. Just remember to refill your account every 30 days. But, in case you have trouble remembering things, you can enroll in an auto refill account and it will take care of business for you. Hope that helps!
The thing that surprised me the most was the service that I got with Straigh Talk. I get service everywhere! I travel all the time for my job and you cant imagine the relief I have knowing that I'm covered wherever I go.
I recommend that everybody go out and grab one of these Straight Talk smartphones from Walmart. Got mine on Black Friday for dirt cheap and now I'm never heading back to my contract carrier because I get all the same features but for just 45 bucks a month.
@dolphan127 That sounds great, I missed black friday but I think the best part of this de3al sounds like the 45 dollars for unlimited everything, which you won't find anywhere else so the phone shouldn't matter
I am always being ripped off in life and expecially with contracts. I used to have a contract cell phone and boy was I getting ripped off it was breaking my wallet. I switched to straighttalk and you know what? I don't feel ripped off any longer. I know that for the $45 plan I get unlimited (with no catches) talk, text and web for 30 days. I now feel that there is a company out there that I can trust
@Thefatfrosty I know how you feel, I'm sorry you felt ripped off your whole life :( but I do feel like I've given myself a raise since I switched over to straight talk, used to spend over 100 bucks a month on iPhone and now I pay half that.
The Straighttalk unlimited for $45 a month is probably the best deal available to date. I know that my cellphone will cost me $45 a month and for that I have unlimited access to talk, text and data - I travel a lot for work and this has been a very inexpensive tool for me to use
@survivor1450 I can imagine, it sounds like you can just check your email whenever you want for however long you want... I'm just having trouble understanding this, is it really just 45 bucks for a FULL unlimited plan? Sounds like a joke.
I didn't realise just how much I was being ripped off by having a contract phone. Every month there were all sorts of extra costs for long distance and texting. Since switching to the straighttalk $45 unlimited I am able to spend much more time (in fact unlimited time) on my phone and it costs me less!
This is the best wireless plan out there. The straight talk plan for $45 a month gives you unlimited everything and it is extremely easy to use. I am saving soo much money from my previous contract phone!
i love the razr! if i can get that phone for a good price on straight talk then i am seriously keen to switch from my contract. all the other benefits of being on prepaid seem to be amazing. can't see any reasons not to change! $45 a month all inclusive - how easy is that..
If you're not on Verizon's Straight Talk plan then you either know something I don't or you're crazy. I've looked and I cannot find a better plan anywhere. Not a single plan better than $45 each month for unlimited calls, texts, and data. This makes me want to rule out the first option I mentioned about people knowing something I don't know and lean towards the crazy option. But if that's the case then that means there a lot of crazy people on the streets... now I'm scared to leave my house...
My friend kept on at me to switch from a contract to straighttalk. She kept on about the benefits of straighttalk unlimited for $45. I kept fighting her and insisting on my contract and then I saw the light WOW I am now saving money on my cellphone each money and for the less that I pay on the $45 unlimited I get more than I did with a contract. I know I should always trust my friends but it took time!
I think the only reason to stay with contract phones used to be that you could get a smartphone that could browse the web easily. But the good news is that they just came out with the Nokia 6790 which is a smartphone with a full slider keyboard for texting, I can do anything with it!
@filmguy786 Really? I've been on straight talk for a few years myself but I had no idea that they came up with smartphones. Now that they released those daddies I guess there's definitely no reason to switch to a contract now.
@finsman777 I just got myself one and I love it!! I've been trying to get my friends to swtich over to Straight Talk, but they've been resistant because they love their smart phones. Since I got mine, 2 of my friends have joined Straight Talk. No contract, unlimited minutes, texting and emailing for jsut $45 a month..they're very happy.
I have saved myslef a lot of money since I switched to the Straighttalk $45 unlimited. I now know that my cellphone is going to cost me $45 a month with no hidden costs and this is for unlimited talk, text and data for the month. I am saving in excess of $50 a month and when you add that up everymonth it becomes a lot of money
Straight talk Unlimited has plans for each ones taste and with the unlimited plan for $45 you can talk, text, and be happy you made the switch. The savings are at the moment you purchase Straight Talk Cellphone. No more contracts, sounds so good to my ears and my pockets. I have extra cash for the holidays. Enjoy it if you have it, and if you do not, hurry to Walmart, you will start saving in the spot.
This phone and plan are perfect for my needs. I love that I am not attached to one service provider for like 5 years because straight talk phones have no contracts. The $45 a month plan is great and I can talk as much as I want, text, and send and receive pictures.
Since I've been so happy with my $45 unlimited plan with Straight Talk I'm going to give my nearest and dearest ST phones with the $45 unlimited plans as well. I've thaught about it, the pressies will allow them to phone me and stay in touch more and they can always use the $30 plan if their budgets are too tight. The reception is very good on Verizon and at least there are no contractual grips and hidden yucky charges as with contracts.
@mousykins1 I've been thinking of doing the same thing for Christmas this year. I hear so many of my family members complain about bills every month that i can't help but want to bring them to straight talk. They can get everything they have with their expensive plans for half the price.
We are so relieved that our cellphone its not a worry anymore, why? We purchased a Straight Talk cellphone and the prepaid card for $30. No more 2 yr. contract to worry about. Do not waste your money in cellphones that take, not give like, unlimited texts, unlimited calls. You will see the difference immediately.
My grandparents recently got the straight talk cellphones and the wireless plan. They got the $30 a month plan because they don't talk or text that much. They got 1000 minutes, 1000 texts, and 1000 mb of data transfers. This is the best deal for them and now they are saving like $100 a month!
Being in control of your bill is a great thing and I totally agree with this video, StriaghtTalk puts you in control of your monthly bill. My spending is capped at $45 a month with ST and I get unlmited minute, text and web. What a sweet deal...affordable price and great reception. ST is definitely a keeper. I like it so much I event got a couple of friends to make the switch and they're also super happy
@abaker505 I got a few friends to make the move too. Now that we're all out of college and we have to pay our own bills you realize how much money it actually costs to have a cell phone...I got my ST phone at WalMart and im paying $45 a month for the unlimited plan that gets me talk web and text...I'm saving a ton of cash and i didnt give up any of the features that i was paying when i had a contract phone...
Straight Talk really must be giving other providers sucha run for their money! How do you compete wiht this deal. You can control your monthly bills ($45 a month and that's it - no surprises), you get a sweet phone for a reasonable price and there is great coverage!
It is a wonderful feeling not being tied down to any contract with your phone. I swopped to straighttalk a few months ago and cannot believe how much money I am saving - I have the $45 unlimited deal which really is real value. For $45 I get 1 month of talk, text and web whenever I want so here is no cutting back on my calls any longer. The reception is clear and the service has been great
I used to pay over $100 a month for my cellphone plan. When I heard about Straight Talk cellphone and their unlmited minutes, text, and web for just $45, I immediately switched without thinking twice about it.
I've been using Straight talk's $45 plan for a few months now and I can't find anything about it that I don't like its actually that I can't believe how many great things there are about it. The coverage on verizon is faultless so far, I talk more to my friends now than I have ever done before without feeling any guilt of squandering money & I've got that free feeling from extra & hidden charges, theres no connection fee's, I get free calls to 411, I don't get monthly statements. Yay!
I switched to straighttalk and I couldn't have made a better move. $45 a month for unlimited talk , text and data. This is a much cheaper deal than the contract that I had with my previous service provider
How easy and stress free the Straight Talk $45.00 a month unlimited usage has made my life! I no longer have to try and figure the cost of calls or worry about the mailman bringing the cell phone bill at the end of the month and I can just enjoy my phone as much as I like!
She hits the nail on head! Straight Talk really is the untimate all-in-one deal. It is for all ages and is perfect for me as well as my kids. There's no admin about trying to taylor your contract to your personal needs etc etc becasue Straight Talk simply is the best deal you can get for the best service/coverage. There is really no need to complcate things with a complicated sales pitch on who it suits and who it doesn't because it is for everyone..
this $45 amonth Straigth Talk plan is just marvelous. i have switched from a contract and save myself at least $40 a month. and not only do i have unlimited talk, test and web access, thank to verizon i have no more dropped calls, never mind where i am. just great.
not much left to say but go to walmart and get it. i have got the Straigth Talk $45 a month plan, and could not be happier. i have unlimited calls. text and web access for the whole month and no nasty surprise at month end. no overage fees no nothing. a straight forward deal that has saved me hundreds of dollars already, and will do more in the future. thank you Straight Talk
My budget is so tight at the mo', I can't take the chance of not knowing what I'm going to be paying when I get my bill. This makes perfect sense...no overages, no contract, no bill and at $45 unlimited, who can beat that?
Anyone with a teenager in the family knows how much time they spend on their cell phones and will understand my relief at having the kids on Straight Talk unlimited calling, texting and web access for $45.00 per month with no extra fees and no cell phone bills at the end of the month!!!
Wow! A phone for 45/month unlimited?! Where do I sign up? With no activation fee, and no requirement for a long-term contract, this seems to be the best deal in town.
I have worked out that I have saved major bucks using the straight talk $45 unlimited plan with a months service included. I now have lots of extra cash to spend - thank you straight talk
I came from a Straight Talk home and kept the company now that I'm on my own - those $80 a month I keep saving make a huge difference. Over the next two years, I'll have $2,400 more in my account thanks to StraightTalk and I still have a great way to keep in touch with my family and that's even more important to me know.
All my boys have straight talk. All my boys have said positive things about straight talk. I have straight talk and i like straight talk. It's a no brainer straight talk is the best on the market.
READ THE FINE PRINT AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DO NOT REFILL COVERAGE UNTIL YOU HAVE USED YOUR COVERAGE COMPLETELY. THEIR SYSTEM IS DESIGNED TO SCREW THEIR CUSTOMERS. WHY ELSE ERASE ANY REMAINING COVERAGE YOU HAVE WHEN YOU ADD A NEW REFILL CARD? THIS IS A SIMPLE QUESTION THAT NO ONE AT STRAIGHT TALKS CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT CAN ANSWER.
you are saving money.. man.... haha sorry could resist playing off of super troopers... yeah about 50 bucks a month... great plan, great service, i'm definitely sticking with it
I recently was using a different prepaid wireless plan and then the craziest thing happend, I got pushed in the pool and my phone broke. After having my phone break from water damage, I got a new Razr with straight talk. My Razr is amazing and so is Straight talk wireless.
I have had the Straight Talk unlimited plan for 3 months now and I get great coverage and save almost $80 a month on it. Switching from At&t was the best thing I ever did
I am saving alot of money also after switching to Straight talk, it's nice to see others validate my decision to switch to straight talk wireless. I am on the 45$ plan as well. Besides the price I think the best part of this plan is the fact that it runs on the Verizon network.
Haha -- nice title! Straight Talk is better than my old cell phone provider. I had AT&T, but it had bad service and the prices were too high. Now I'm paying $45 for unlimited talk and text and 30MB of data on a much better network. I am also saving soooo much money!
for the $45 plan everything is actually unlimited -minutes, text messages and MB for web browsing; it's a lot cheaper compared to paying $50 up per month in other service providers; plus their range of phone models are also slick
Does anybody know what's the best wi fi internet??? I mostly want to use for my ipod touch when I am in the gym so I can surf youtube while I work out.

I came from a Straight Talk home and kept the company now that I'm on my own - those $80 a month I keep saving make a huge difference. Over the next two years, I'll have $2,400 more in my account thanks to StraightTalk and I still have a great way to keep in touch with my family and that's even more important to me know.

Agreed. I also have the Razor with StraightTalk and I also think it's the best deal out there. $45 for unlmited usage is totally affordable!

Switching from At&t was the best thing I ever did
alistairbarnes101 2 years ago
I am saving alot of money also after switching to Straight talk, it's nice to see others validate my decision to switch to straight talk wireless. I am on the 45$ plan as well. Besides the price I think the best part of this plan is the fact that it runs on the Verizon network.

Haha -- nice title! Straight Talk is better than my old cell phone provider. I had AT&T, but it had bad service and the prices were too high. Now I'm paying $45 for unlimited talk and text and 30MB of data on a much better network. I am also saving soooo much money!
fmc831 2 years ago
for the $45 plan everything is actually unlimited -minutes, text messages and MB for web browsing; it's a lot cheaper compared to paying $50 up per month in other service providers; plus their range of phone models are also slick
