  • none of this shit for me. ill always be a fan of soap and water with towel dry

  • which ford is that?

  • @thatcatnibz It is an XR6.

  • @SoBrill aw, that is a really nice car, wish

those were available here in the US.. what

did it run you for by any chance..

  • Scatched surely!!

  • Hey trvoy, I wouldn't use it if it scratched. Use it as per the directions and not a worry delivering great results.

  • it doesnt compare to an old bucket and sponge it looks SHIT

  • Hi Alan any professional detailer will recommend against using a sponge on your car. Use a microfibre wash mit and 2 bucket method if you choose to use our limited water supply. Contrary to your view the results are great.

  • I was under the impression that water was the most common substance found on earth and that supply isnt limited?

  • Hi Gavin in Australia we are on water restrictions due to the limited drinking water avilable in our reservoirs. This is also the case in other parts of the world.

  • Is this produst australian? whats some more information about thes product?

  • Hey djmixa we tried products from around the world and this was the best product available. It is bottled in Australia. Approved by Good Environmental Choice, Smart WaterMark and independently tested. See sobrilliant . com . au

  • for all you "pro detailers" you have to understand that a waterless product works the same way your clay bar does. as you see the spray lifts the dirt and provides lubrication for the surface, when you get A CLEAN microfiber to pick up the dirt IT WILL NOT SCRATCH the surface. Finally if you do want a glass like surface follow up with a clay, pc polish and a wax coat... Simple!

  • You may not be able to see any scratches, but under very close inspection *or by microscope* you can see the very fine scratches which will eventually ruin the paintwork.

Glass, for instance, looks and feels smooth but under a microscope, you'll see a honeycomb effect. Products like "rainban" simply fill in these gaps to allow water to run off.

You won't be able to see the damage because it happens over a long period of time...

    There's no substitute for a proper wash/polish/wax.

  • Hi visionit based on your comments I would suggest you have not used the product. Please correct me if I am wrong? We have had sobrilliant independently accelerated tested by one of the world's leading scientific agency over 80 cleans. That is somewhere between 3 and 8 years of cleaning. The result -- no visual change to the paintwork. Hi kmoney sobrilliant dot com dot au is used by number of professional detailers as an alternative to using water. Would be pleased if you would try it. Cheers

  • As a detailer by trade (well not trade, it's my job) I cannot imagine how this doesn't scratch. Using a wax (microfiber) towel is a good way of reducing scratches, but I just can't conceive how it can't scratch all together.

Now I'm not saying It does scratch because it did seem to clean the car very well. So this intrigues me a lot. Where can I go to buy this and try it out myself?

  • lol your a detailer dude ..its a silver car :D pretty fkn hard to notice those tiney little scratches you know that! lol

  • I have been using a product very similar for the past 4 months. It is so easy, and I can confirm..no scratches at all!!! Using a flat sponge and water can trap dirt and dust, scratching the surface. This product is the way to go. Brilliant stuff.

  • Try starting with a car that is actually dirty to begin with. Also....Cars are not lovers... quit cleaning yours, like it is...

  • Hi sblaes01 once the left hand side, when looking at the monitor, of the bonnet is cleaned you can see how dirty it was to start with. I am just fussy about the way I clean a car.

  • Quality waterless washes aren't crap. As long as you use thick plush microfiber towels it won't scratch the paint. Common sense will tell you (or at least should) you can't do a car covered in mud. Google detailing forums and start reading before making stupid ass comments about something you know nothing about. I have no idea what the guy in the vid is using but there are really good waterless washes out there that get the job done safely and effectively.

  • this is for lazy people! this will only result to more scratches... crap.

  • Hi Mike. Water restrictions are a real issue for many people as is the sustainability of water. The product is not for lazy people it is a great alternative to clean, polish and protect your vehicle without using water. It has been used for years and it does not scratch. Try it for yourself.

  • This product is good if a bird shits on your car. But for washing your whole dirty car go ahead and leave sratches all over it

  • Hi zzvvhh35. The product is great for removing bird droppings, road tar, water marks and normal road dirt. Use our wet on wet application with our quality microfibre cloths, turning them regularly, and it definitely does not scratch.

  • let me bring my muddy filty car over and watch you wash it without water and use your so called waterless car wash and dont leave any scratches. The car in your video is clean and light color lets see you actually clean a muddy black car then i will be impressed.

  • Are you using the enhance or restore product in the vid? Thanx.

  • Hi Braiod this vid is using Enhance. I start with Restore on cars that are pre 2000 then move to the Enhance product. For well maintained cars/bikes/jetskis the Enhance is sensational.

    Cheers

  • sobrill, are you saying there is no water in the chemical mixture in that bottle? you say it is waterless dirt removal. it seems to me it is reduced water cleaning , not waterless.if it is not water then is it oil based, as it quite clearly not a gas.

however, if it does as you say then it is a good product for REDUCING water consumption.

  • HI Intoxicologist a very astute question. It is termed a waterless carwash product because it does not require water to wash your car. Having said that, the product is all organic and does contain water. By comparison to the amount of water required to wash a car it is immaterial. There are no chemicals at all in the product and it is environmentally approved. As you point out it is a good product for reducing water consumption. These reductions are significant in my view. Thanks for your input.

  • I want to see that done on a black car.

  • Hi Sam visit the sobrilliant website to see the product used on black cars. Cheers

  • Scrathes!!!!!

  • Hey Maurice no way I would use it on my car if it scratched. You spray the microfibre cloth and spray the surface. Wet on wet cleaning. The compounds and lubricating agents contained within our product work together to ensure it does not scratch. Check it out.

  • Hard to believe. I will continue to use water. Thank you anyway.

  • Hi Maurice I am really big on sustaining water for our future and this product contributes in a very positive way while also polishing and protecting the surface of your car, bike or boat. Anyway thanks for checking it out.

  • This is one of the worst things you could do to your car. When you try to clean, all the dust from one area get stuck on the towel or whatever it's called and then scratches all your car when cleaning other areas.

    It's not brilliant, it's dumb!!!

  • So Brilliant's Waterless products contain special compounds that act as surfactants. These special compounds wet the surface and surround the dirt particles. By surrounding the dirt particles, the paint is protected from scratching. After you spray the waterless car wash on the surface you are cleaning, the dirt is encapsulated in the liquid and the microfibre cloth traps the dirt inside of it. Use a second cloth to buff to leave a shiny finish. Never ever had a scratch.

  • "Mr Muscle" and "Wetex". Ok result but bad for the paint. BS!

  • Hi Stormbrother. I care about my car way too much to use anything like Mr Muscle and a wetex. This product is all organic, environmentally friendly and is used with high quality microfibre cloths. The video does not do justice to the quality of the polished finish.

  • pretty professional with your kids screaming in the background. Who is going to pay attention to that?

  • SoBrill | May 24, 2007

Hi jlift fair comment about the clip not being professional. There are no tricks with the video, what you see is what you get with the product. A high quality product that cleans, polishes and protects. Our money goes into product quality, price control and customer service. My kids are a wonderful part of my life!

  • Hi mute9003

A good question. I was thinking about what other areas would also be inaccessible perhaps wheel wells? I spray So Brilliant along the rubber seals and then wipe with a cloth also sprayed with the product. They come up well. This is also true for cleaning the rubber mouldings around the doors and boot. Around body mouldings I use the edges of the cloth. For build up in wheel wells I use a brush. Cheers

  • doesnt water also wash out the seals and dirt from under moldings and seams which i cant see thsi product doing

  • Hm, I still have some questions. What about lots of dirt? And is the product hurting the environment somehow?

    Cheers

  • Hi LCA7

If your car or bike is excessively muddy or caked with dirt or sand I would recommend removing it with a high pressure spray first. Otherwise So Brilliant will clean your duco, chrome and glass brilliantly. So Brilliant is all organic and biodegradable and sustaining on average 50 to 60 litres of water that a car wash uses each wash.

  • I think it's a load of BS.

  • are you american

  • Hey Gus why do you think it is BS? The product has been used extensively on cars, boats and bikes over years and produces high quality results over and over again. We have a strong client base of repeat customers because of the results of using So Brilliant. These clients include very fastidious car detailers. Help sustain water for our future Gus and try So Brilliant for yourself.

  • Great looking product

  • Easy to use and used by many detailers and car owners in USA, Australia and the UK. I was also very skeptical until I tried the product. Pick the right waterless wash and you will be a convert like me.
