I love this film. Critics said horrible things about this film but I don't care. They criticized Mad Max 3, Rambo 3, Alien 3, Jurassic Park 3, X-Men 3, Mission Impossible 3, Resident Evil 3 but I loved all these films. The same with Spider-Man 3. Yes, it was weaker than previous two films but the storyline was interesting. Peter has 3 strong rivals including his darker side. Visual effects & fight scenes were impressive. Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst & James Franco were awesome

Spider-man 3 treated the symbiote-turning-Peter-evil story arch as a parody of itself... because of this, the overall film may have suffered a bit, but this sequence is so bizarrely hilarious, I think it was actually worth it! I laughed my ass off in the theater. Where Spiderman 3's failing is that it should have ended by setting up Venom as a villain for a 4th film... where he could have more exposure. Also, he should have been played by someone absolutely huge, ripped, and scary.

That's the problem with people,they take these scenes way too seriously.

It DID NOT destroy the spider man legacy you silly little complainers.The whole 'Cool Peter' thing was intended as humor,as much as it should be obvious.I personally think this was hilarious and a great breath of fresh air.

If this was something like the Dark Knight where the tone is always serious,it would have been awkward.But Spiderman has ALWAYS been a goofy and corny superhero,that's part of his charm.
