No. All of the videos I posted were from TV shows that were taped during 1979 and 1981, with the exception of the 3 promo videos from 1979, which were shot in a studio courtesy of Mercury records. However, I did do one lip-synced song on a TV show with those guys in 1989 in Germany. I do not have a copy of this, though. Randy may have tapes. He used a video camera a lot in those days.
I had tickets to see Carolyne Mas & Robert Palmer in London, Ont. Canada in 1980, but the show was cancelled. Robert took off for Paris, & Carolyne just disappeared. Would have been a fantastic show. I miss them both.
Wow, I didn't even know about that show...I did do one with him in Toronto at Massey Hall at the end of 1980. That just goes to show you how much I was kept in the dark about what was going on with my career.
This is so perfect. Thank you!!! It's one of my missed opportunities that I never got to see this amazingly talented woman perform. At least we have these great videos!! ~cc~
I had to get my husband, who is German, to translate this for me. Actually, he says it doesn't make much sense to say that I sound like Avril L. She most likely wasn't even born yet when this was recorded (in 1981), and the style of music is completely different.
Plus I was one hell of a rhythm guitar player. I hate to say it, but Ms. L. looks like it's just a cool prop to her. They tried to do the same thing to Tanya Tucker in 1980, I think, with the TNT LP.
Love this cover of the Grassroots (Rob Grill Warren Entner) cover.

Thanks for the reply Carolyne. I saw that one which was pretty humorous because Richie broke a string or two while pretending to play

Carolyn,
What is that Les Paul with Fender style head? I agree you are an excellent rhythm guitar. Vocals are stellar! What are you up to these days girl?

Schön das ich nicht die Einzige bin die den Avril Lavigne Vergleich nicht schnallt. Unvergleichbar, die zwei unterscheiden sich wie Tag u. Nacht.
