my snake hasnt eaten in weeks and he uaully ALWays eats the mouse withing it being in the cage for 10 seconds

wait i heard that if you fed your snake in its cage it would start to associate everything that goes in it with food. wouldn't i feed it in a smaller tub or something so it doesn't think my hand is a tasty treat next time i go to pick it up?

@livermagoo Did your snake eat finally? 17 days isn't very long for a snake to go without eating.

I have one snake that eats, the other doesnt.. Ive tried everything I can besides putting the rat in "her" tank. Whn i do feeding i seperate and they go into there own tubs. I was told never to feed them in there own tank cause then everytime u open the lid they think its feeding tim..

@H3DHUNT3R start giving the live food on tongues instead of jus puttin it in with the snake get it used to the tongues then use frozen thawed they should take it

kingsnakeshane....you do not have to feed it in a seperate area. Some people do but it isn't required.

well it's recommended, especially if they have substrate that can get stuck to the prey and get swallowed. It's just better for the animal. But yeah people can do whatever..
