I wish he would give more updates, even to say he's not made progress, this scene looks cool, I kind of hope no combatants from 13 appear though fang maybe at a push lightning, not noel or serah, or noctis since we don't know how he fights yet.
I think Montyoum must like FF better than DOA because, the way I see it, FF gets a lot of scenes and wins. The downfall of Tifa was saddening but I still see the scale between DOA and FF as unbalanced. Not complaining though, I'm on FF's side anyways.

Okay, Vincent Valentine enters the fray. Now, will his demons cause a major upset? Admittedly, Vincent's statistics aren't the best, but (I hope) Monty Oum decides to have Vincent use his Death Penalty a bit. Of course it'd be overkill then as Vincent is a sharpshooter from hell...Ryu would probably be able to dodge a lot of bullets though as he's fast too. So lets see...a 250% hit rate against a 99.99% dodge rate. Good thing this isn't a platformer!! GO RYU (and Vincent)!!

Just like Tifa did for the Hitomi match. And of course you're still not looking at the pattern that Monty did. DF 1, 3, & 5 were DoA wins. FF only had DF 2. DF 4 wasn't even a real win because Kasumi called a time-out. It's not a matter about the wins, it's about being fair. DoA fans would whine the same if it was---
I'm watching this and am literally SPEECHLESS, I have no Idea to describe this, I don't think I've seen a fight scene so Amazingly EPIC in a while!!! MontyOum has my respect for making such an awesome series, and such an awesome scene.
I really can't see team FF losing this. I don't know much about DoA but Namine was in total control of that fight. That chick landed only a single attack which didn't even faze Namine. I thought they might have stood a chance 2v1 but then Namine busts out Vincent? Yeah...if the DoA characters win this, it'll be even more bullshit than Hitomi beating Tifa. And that will be quite the accomplishment.
Hold her own? Not even like 2 minutes in and she had to be saved from certain death thanks to her own stupidity. She doesn't even look like she's going to be a factor so it looks like it's going to be 2 on 1. And the way you say it makes it sound like Namine knows exactly what Momiji is going to do just because she's not fighting with magic and shit. An unknown opponent is an unknown opponent no matter how they fight. They were on equal ground and Momiji got stomped.
@HalfMoonBlade I whole heartedly agree. Had Ryu not intervened, Momiji would have been done. There is no doubt about it. I don't care what anyone says, Namine was owning her ass. I mean look at it, she charged at Namine and the girl had on on the ground in less than a minute. It was definitely an equal fight. Momiji jas a good arsenal of weaponry. Namine just has a better strategy.
@Th3On3Y0uW4nt Btw I dunno what it is about Namine's fighting style but I really, really like it. Especially the " dancing" with the controlling of the Keyblades. Square Enix should take notes and consider this in future Kingdom Hearts installments. Hell maybe even make Namine a boss! Lmao!
You realize that, the blade was being controlled by Vincent right? Hence why it moved on it's own the entire fight. That "stomping" blow wasn't even Namine's doing. And even if that did hit her, what makes you think it would have finished her? If Namine can take two bombs to the face, Momiji can take a blow from a Keyblade. You haven't really been watching DF too long.
@Katnipkity If the attack had not presented a threat then Ryu wouldn't have stepped in to save her from it. He did, thus he obviously believes it would have put Momiji down.

Or Ryu intervened when he realized that the blade was not an ordinary blade and was a whole separate opponent in itself. Which would make that whole fight 2 vs 1 honestly. The only reason why Ryu didn't just kill Kairi during her stupid Sailor moon transformation was to keep it fair, which became moot when he realized that it wasn't fair already. If you honestly think that, that one blow one finish off any DF character than that's evidence enough that you haven't been watching.
@TheBAGman17 It's not the weapon, it's the person's skill level. If it were up to the weapon, Tifa would have beaten Hitomi. Don't forget, this is their first meeting, so Momoji was an unknown to Kairi as well. In fact you could argue that Momoji has some knowledge of Kairi's abilities when she reviewed Kasumi's memories. Ryu did the right thing and held back until he got a better measure of her skills

@HalfMoonBlade Hitomi beating Tifa wasn't bullshit. It was amazing. Anything can happen. Stop looking at what was shown, and realize that in Dead Fantasy, the tides of a battle can shift. It was evident in episode three. Momiji could end up turning the battle straight around on Momiji.
@kauaikillaz I'm betting she will. She'll adapt to Namine's fighting style, and counter accordingly. At this point she's at a disadvantage because her opponent's style is incredibly varied and unpredictable. You saw evidence of Momiji learning to deal with Namine's attacks, when she took on the telekinetic-controlled swords. The first time she attempted to take them on she was overwhelmed, and knocked to the floor. The following attempt, however, saw her block/evade all but the Vincent one.
@kauaikillaz I highly doubt that for the sheer fact that it would basically be a slaughter fest for FF girls. Because of DOA's record. DoA has 2 wins FF only has 1. It would turn off a lot of FF fans if Namine did not win this. Not saying that Momoji won't turn it around, but I just think that FF should have the score evened.

He already made Hitomi beat Tifa, and you know how many FF fans cried about that. If they are gonna be unappreciative to Monty about wins, maybe they should count the FF fanservice compared to DoA.

Then again after Dead Fantasy 3, it has been 2 episodes of Final Fantasy fan service... We had to watch Tifa play the valiant hero who went down in blazing glory after taking out dozens of ninja. And then we watched Yuna summon her Aeons in a dramatic display, and he cut out the entire fight scene with Kasumi and HER ninjas which would bargain would have been cool to see. In my opinion, with what we have seen this fight could go either way but I have a feeling DOA will win this.

It was STILL a lost after Hitomi epically displayed that she could knock out the materia right out of Tifa and Hayate could just teleport through Tifa and knock her out. The aeon's Yuna summoned were FIERCELY DESTROYED out by Kasumi's ninjas that just took down Bahamut EASILY like that (which for all FF fans know that's NOT an easy thing to do). I guess it's a matter of perspective. And I respect your opinion, but I guess I disagree. I don't think winning means everything to be perfectly honest. DOA fans had to sit through 2 episodes of Tifa destroying nobodies that meant nothing to us, and didn't do anything awh-inspiring. And even Hayate just stopped it abruptly. The Aeons at least appeared and executed all of their signature moves and made the fans go crazy. Tons of fan service there. But what did the DOA fans have?

Monty already voiced his annoyance with FF fans thinking that the Final Fantasy side should just win every match. lol I think Monty is more about following his own vision then to allow the idea of popular demand to rule his choices. All the DOA fans got were getting to see new characters who did nothing piratically while we watched the FF characters fight and show off. Yeah they lost, but the way they lost did nothing for the DOA fans. The FF fans got more out of those episodes than the DOA ones, even with the losses. I think 2 episodes revolving around FF performances evens out the odds here. Monty loves Final Fantasy, but he also loves Ryu and Ninja Gaiden. So this could go either way.
@666seafox I could hardly say that with episodes 3 & 5. We saw Hitomi at her finest. I'd say doing a "Black Star Big Wave" to knock Tifa into a oblivion to a point where you draw blood IS showing off. You may not understand that because you are DoA biased, but Tifa losing, especially after doing so well in DF2 and playing the games, and seeing her in action in the movies is a really big blow to pride. I think it was great that Tifa went down with a fight, but there's a point of greediness.---
5? Almost 99 percent of 5 was Tifa destroying ninja and showing off just how bad-ass she can be with while fighting with arrows in her body and not giving up. There wasn't really anything on 5 that would make a DOA fan go "Ooh" or "aaah" it was literally watching an FF character fight a bunch of nobodies for 5 minutes. DOA got 2 displays, the first one and the 3rd. The second (Which is almost worth 2 considering it's twice as long.) the 4th and the 5th.

As a DOA fan I would rather watch Hayate fight and display his skills for 5 minutes before tiring out and being KO'd then just having him stand there

What kind of fan service is it for the DOA side if we saw no one of any major role actually fight? The DOA side doesn't care to see random nobody ninjas or clones fight, they honestly show nothing off for the DOA side. While the FF still got to show off all of the Aeons which executed their crazy signature moves. Yeah, Ryu and Momiji showed up, but did they do anything? No. The only major role characters to actually fight in 4 and 5 were all FF characters.
@666seafox I don't know what you saw, but those were NOT the Aeons signature moves. Those were minor in comparison to the actual game. And now it's funny because it seems like you're complaining now. Was Hitomi's victory and Tifa getting the materia knocked out of her not enough for you? Do you not LIKE your victories? DF 4 was not a victory for Yuna. The Aeons showed up and were destroyed by Kasumi's clones. NOT AN EASY THING TO DO. Had Cloud not showed up she would have died by Kasumi----

That's right if MONTY does. I didn't say that Namie would dominate the entire match at all. Like I said in the previous comment. Momoji of course would get some awesome hits in. Just like Tifa did for the Hitomi match. And of course you're still not looking at the pattern that Monty did. DF 1, 3, & 5 were DoA wins. FF only had DF 2. DF 4 wasn't even a real win because Kasumi called a time-out. It's not a matter about the wins, it's about being fair. DoA fans would whine the same if it was---

I really can't see team FF losing this. I don't know much about DoA but Namine was in total control of that fight. That chick landed only a single attack which didn't even faze Namine. I thought they might have stood a chance 2v1 but then Namine busts out Vincent? Yeah...if the DoA characters win this, it'll be even more bullshit than Hitomi beating Tifa. And that will be quite the accomplishment.

Hold her own? Not even like 2 minutes in and she had to be saved from certain death thanks to her own stupidity. She doesn't even look like she's going to be a factor so it looks like it's going to be 2 on 1. And the way you say it makes it sound like Namine knows exactly what Momiji is going to do just because she's not fighting with magic and shit. An unknown opponent is an unknown opponent no matter how they fight. They were on equal ground and Momiji got stomped.

@HalfMoonBlade I whole heartedly agree. Had Ryu not intervened, Momiji would have been done. There is no doubt about it. I don't care what anyone says, Namine was owning her ass. I mean look at it, she charged at Namine and the girl had on on the ground in less than a minute. It was definitely an equal fight. Momiji jas a good arsenal of weaponry. Namine just has a better strategy.

You realize that, the blade was being controlled by Vincent right? Hence why it moved on it's own the entire fight. That "stomping" blow wasn't even Namine's doing. And even if that did hit her, what makes you think it would have finished her? If Namine can take two bombs to the face, Momiji can take a blow from a Keyblade. You haven't really been watching DF too long.

Or Ryu intervened when he realized that the blade was not an ordinary blade and was a whole separate opponent in itself. Which would make that whole fight 2 vs 1 honestly. The only reason why Ryu didn't just kill Kairi during her stupid Sailor moon transformation was to keep it fair, which became moot when he realized that it wasn't fair already. If you honestly think that, that one blow one finish off any DF character than that's evidence enough that you haven't been watching.

@TheBAGman17 It's not the weapon, it's the person's skill level. If it were up to the weapon, Tifa would have beaten Hitomi. Don't forget, this is their first meeting, so Momoji was an unknown to Kairi as well. In fact you could argue that Momoji has some knowledge of Kairi's abilities when she reviewed Kasumi's memories. Ryu did the right thing and held back until he got a better measure of her skills

@HalfMoonBlade Hitomi beating Tifa wasn't bullshit. It was amazing. Anything can happen. Stop looking at what was shown, and realize that in Dead Fantasy, the tides of a battle can shift. It was evident in episode three. Momiji could end up turning the battle straight around on Momiji.

At this point she's at a disadvantage because her opponent's style is incredibly varied and unpredictable. You saw evidence of Momiji learning to deal with Namine's attacks, when she took on the telekinetic-controlled swords. The first time she attempted to take them on she was overwhelmed, and knocked to the floor. The following attempt, however, saw her block/evade all but the Vincent one.

@kauaikillaz I highly doubt that for the sheer fact that it would basically be a slaughter fest for FF girls. Because of DOA's record. DoA has 2 wins FF only has 1. It would turn off a lot of FF fans if Namine did not win this. Not saying that Momoji won't turn it around, but I just think that FF should have the score evened.

He already made Hitomi beat Tifa, and you know how many FF fans cried about that. If they are gonna be unappreciative to Monty about wins, maybe they should count the FF fanservice compared to DoA.

Personally, I just think it's about time FF took control. They deserve more than just a group win. They deserve a one on one (or in this case "two on two"). I also believe it's 50-50. After all even though Namine's form gave Momoji a shock, she quickly adapted. I just...really think that it's FF's turn to win. And if Monty should allow it, revenge.

Then again after Dead Fantasy 3, it has been 2 episodes of Final Fantasy fan service... We had to watch Tifa play the valiant hero who went down in blazing glory after taking out dozens of ninja. And then we watched Yuna summon her Aeons in a dramatic display, and he cut out the entire fight scene with Kasumi and HER ninjas which would bargain would have been cool to see. In my opinion, with what we have seen this fight could go either way but I have a feeling DOA will win this.

It was STILL a lost after Hitomi epically displayed that she could knock out the materia right out of Tifa and Hayate could just teleport through Tifa and knock her out. The aeon's Yuna summoned were FIERCELY DESTROYED out by Kasumi's ninjas that just took down Bahamut EASILY like that (which for all FF fans know that's NOT an easy thing to do). Or...did you also forget about the DOA fanservice Monty provided as well? I---

I guess it's a matter of perspective. And I respect your opinion, but I guess I disagree. I don't think winning means everything to be perfectly honest. DOA fans had to sit through 2 episodes of Tifa destroying nobodies that meant nothing to us, and didn't do anything awh-inspiring. And even Hayate just stopped it abruptly. The Aeons at least appeared and executed all of their signature moves and made the fans go crazy. Tons of fan service there. But what did the DOA fans have?

Monty already voiced his annoyance with FF fans thinking that the Final Fantasy side should just win every match. lol I think Monty is more about following his own vision then to allow the idea of popular demand to rule his choices. All the DOA fans got were getting to see new characters who did nothing piratically while we watched the FF characters fight and show off. Yeah they lost, but the way they lost did nothing for the DOA fans. The FF fans got more out of those episodes than the DOA ones, even with the losses. I think 2 episodes revolving around FF performances evens out the odds here. Monty loves Final Fantasy, but he also loves Ryu and Ninja Gaiden. So this could go either way.

@666seafox I could hardly say that with episodes 3 & 5. We saw Hitomi at her finest. I'd say doing a "Black Star Big Wave" to knock Tifa into a oblivion to a point where you draw blood IS showing off. You may not understand that because you are DoA biased, but Tifa losing, especially after doing so well in DF2 and playing the games, and seeing her in action in the movies is a really big blow to pride. I think it was great that Tifa went down with a fight, but there's a point of greediness.---

5? Almost 99 percent of 5 was Tifa destroying ninja and showing off just how bad-ass she can be with while fighting with arrows in her body and not giving up. There wasn't really anything on 5 that would make a DOA fan go "Ooh" or "aaah" it was literally watching an FF character fight a bunch of nobodies for 5 minutes. DOA got 2 displays, the first one and the 3rd. The second (Which is almost worth 2 considering it's twice as long.) the 4th and the 5th.

What kind of fan service is it for the DOA side if we saw no one of any major role actually fight? The DOA side doesn't care to see random nobody ninjas or clones fight, they honestly show nothing off for the DOA side. While the FF still got to show off all of the Aeons which executed their crazy signature moves. Yeah, Ryu and Momiji showed up, but did they do anything? No. The only major role characters to actually fight in 4 and 5 were all FF characters.

@666seafox I don't know what you saw, but those were NOT the Aeons signature moves. Those were minor in comparison to the actual game. And now it's funny because it seems like you're complaining now. Was Hitomi's victory and Tifa getting the materia knocked out of her not enough for you? Do you not LIKE your victories? DF 4 was not a victory for Yuna. The Aeons showed up and were destroyed by Kasumi's clones. NOT AN EASY THING TO DO. Had Cloud not showed up she would have died by Kasumi----
