I'm actually surprised at how fast Vista booted up. I had an HP computer with 4 GB of RAM and a 1.8 GHz processor before and it would sometimes take literally ten minutes to boot. I downgraded it to XP and it started in a few seconds.

Yes, I relized Vista won by a millisecond but... screw vista, 7 all the way! using it for 7 months because I got my laptop and so far its doing really good, (my screen cracked because the first time i didnt take care of it.

Wtf is wrong with your win7? It boots much faster than vista usually, but I am guessing Vista was a clean install, and 7 was OVERLOADED with applications.

vista was a tiny bit faster. Yet microsoft goes around saying that 7 is soo much faster than vista when really it is pretty much the same. I think that anyone with vista should be eligible for a free windows 7 upgrade.
