Yes, the education system in the USA is broken but to label it as an international conspiracy detracts from efforts to solve the actual problem. Instead of encouraging her readers to go out and change the system for the better, Iserbyt would have us all sit at home in fear of the Marxist bogeymen.

@DownThereForDancing No, she cites the actual documents and books supporting her claims. The point is that ANY Federal system will produce these results. It's not important to change this system, it's important to remove it. She doesn't "label" it an international conspiracy, she tells you the titles and dates of the treaties. You should certainly fear a collectivist, but the reaction to sit at home in fear is one of a collectivist not an individualist.

There is a difference between incompetence and conspiracy. From this video and her book I gather that she believes the problems with the education system are due to a conspiracy. Can you really dispute that when her book is called "The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America"? If the problems really are because of inherent flaws in 'socialising' education, that would suggest incompetence, not malicious conspiracy.

This all makes perfect sense. Dr. Michael Brown wrote a book called "A Queer Thing Happened To America" and he has a section in it about the school system pushing homosexuality. Maine and Mass. are definitley pilot states for these things.
