My apologies but due to the You Tubes time restrictions in place at the time of posting that was all I could load. There was another couple of minutes but I thought this was sufficient to give you a little treat. Perhaps one day You tube will enhance it's services to permit us to amend/re-upload without losing the thread link then I could finish it off as it should be.
it is such a joy to see this video as well as the others. for many years i would go to pluscarden abbey for holy week and the autumn. i have so many happy memories of the monks and the community they created.
It is great to see this truly historic video on youtube. I was once a postulant here. I spent nearly a year here. I do not regret it. It was a good year in my life, and I received so much from it. It is a great place for a retreat, or to live as a monk. It is a pity that they do not celebrate the Tridentine Mass though, not just the New mass in Latinand the layout of the church and high altar makes the Mass look very untidy. The Mass in the video is more appealing than the Mass I remember
I had the great privilege of staying at Pluscarden Abbey for a short while, and I had a wonderful time. Highly recommended. The brothers (affectionately remembered by me as 'the lads') are so kind and generous and they have a great sense of humour as well as terrific singing voices! They make people feel very welcome, valued and supported. There is a website which says more. There can be no better place for anyone who has had a rough time and needs to have some peace to pray and restabilise.

Sorry for the delayed response - I was busy attending the Papal events in Scotland.
The video came from the Abbey's archives and I was extremely fortunate to receive permission from the Abbey to upload it. I do hope you enjoyed it.
