beautiful music - beautiful looking instruments - thanks for posting. the problem of note duration or even variation of the melody is - as you say - an open invitation for each musician to interpret the piece as they will. "imagination and creativity" doesn't sound like a problem at all...

  • Thank you for your thoughtful, sensitive and instructive comment. My knowledge of English is very limited and are also very limited knowledge about my music. I appreciate any discrepancy or suggestion that you make on any topic, so we can all learn. Big hugs.

  • Sorry, please, post your comment again I delete it accidentally. I'm very sorry.

  • Thanks for the post on my video. Do you happen to know if there is any sheet music handed down together with the lyrics, or is it the case that bands invent their own melodies to the text of Martin Codax ?

  • Thank you very much for your interest in the musical history of Galiza. In the "Pergaminho Vindel" was kept the musical notation of six of the seven Codax's Cantigas that we keep today. The problem is that there was no indication the duration of each note in the Middle Ages. Now, it depends of imagination and creativity of each musician. I hope I have clarified doubt.
