No it does not have a cell wall! People think that because it doesn't have a cell wall that is is 100 % digestible by everyone. NO!!! Spirulina has FOUR layers: The Plasma Membrane, The Periplasmic Space, The Peptidoglycan, AND THE OUTER MEMBRANE!!!! You think chorella was hard to crack?

The reason you have been ignored until now is because of the multiple published peer reviewed scientific papers of animal feeding trials and in-vitro studies which demonstrate Spirulina (Arthrospira), is easily digested by a wide variety monogastrics. What the fuck does the stomach have anything to do with digestion? How are these experiments executed? Have you ever thought that just like any other Gram-Negative Bacteria Spirulina can hide out inside human cells...And that maybe, these experiments test the blood that was 'infected' by the arthrospira strain??? This is this obvious flaw that is completely over looked for some reason. I mean cyanobacteria's ability to do this is the reason why we have plants. Why should we eat pound scum?

Spirulina has four layers of protection, and it's a bacteria so it can infect our cells...Hypothesis: Spirulina can't be digest. Lets test this first before we draw any conclusions here.
