Why on earth are all these poor Chinese people infected with HB? This is so sad. I feel so bad for the parents. And they have 2 children. What's all the crap us Americans hear about Chinese people only allowed one child and if they have another one the government will kill the child? I read that in a college sociology book. Is everything we're taught about the Chinese people in college lies?

And with HCC (hepatocellular carcinoma) there IS treatment for that as well. Chemoembolization (google it for the meaning) and transplant. It may give someone a bit more time, years and years, unless there are complications.
3:56 the key is education. In the US, we give a vacination series to those that are working in service related work environments, just as those that come in close contact with people and their blood. Ex: medical personnel, military, police, firefighters....You CAN survive hep B with treatment or transplant. You can also prevent it. This is a sad story. Prayers to the family.
@jaxkipi I believe we also now give immoglobin and vaccination to all newborn infants on birth simply because the vaccination has a very high effectiveness at preventing vertical transmission and because it provides antibodies leading to lifetime immunity to the virus (currently).
Liver transplants have nearly a high mortality rate, so it's best to attempt treatment before one is required.

Lol, the government doesn't kill children. If people go beyond the limit of kids they merely have to pay a fine.
