  • I'm sorry for the dumb question but why do you have to get them tuned?

  • where is this shop at where u got the dyno and the tune done and for how much im very interested for my cobalt TC 08 as well!

  • very impressive numbers.

  • I got 239whp, 244wtq stock on a mustang dyno as well, in 92 degree heat

  • hey man nice whip...how much boost u running

  • which tune do u have?

  • you need to get online look up the trifecta tune for our cars..... on a mustang dyno i put down 298whp and 328wtq tune only i'm about to go get re tuned for my dp and intake.... hoping for 318whp and 340wtq

  • @widowedeight trifecta runs lean as shit, your better off gettin a custom tune for $100 more from Steve. if you dont know who im talkjing about look him up on the forums

  • @ImAuthenticFTW na they dont. they obviously run rich cause i get horrible gas milage on my tune lol. im running 25lbs and it sucks up gas like a v8. and i tlak to vince. he does all my custom tunes.

  • How do you get 256 wheel tq when the motor itself produces 260? I don't trust dynos because they can read whatever the dyno technician wants and I've noticed that half the time the technicians configure them higher for bragging rights.

  • becuase wtq is a calculated value. Not 1 road car has an actual 1:1 output from crank to wheels. Even in 4th gear, wiht a close to 1:1, it still goes through your final ratio. So unless your car has gearing to go 300+mph, you cant get a true 1:1. so its just a calculated value based off of energy loss in the tranny. Which depending on the dyno will read different numbers. Not to mention, the guy said it was tuned, and thus if hp increase with same rpm, tq had to have went up. ....

  • each engine is different, 260 is average and the turbo is suppose to push 15psi but mine pushes 17psi. So his might push more than that.

  • @mossy561069 260 is the "crank" hp and is underrated imho, also the cobalt's boost level is controlled by the CPU and depends on altitude and temp. It will boost whatever it needs to to get to the 260tq mark

  • motor = hardcore underated, besides it doesn't matter a dyno is just a tool to see how much power you gained not really how much you have....

  • the supercharged versions were rated at 205 hp. everyone dynoed about 210-215whp stock

  • sorry but i have a cobalt ss/tc also and everyone does a dynojet dyno with our cars. ofcourse your gonna see stock 250 wheel, its not accurate. do a dyno dynamics or mustang and we'll see 215-220 whp which is more accurate = -%15 for drivetrain loss

  • i got 245whp and 251wtq stock on a mustang dyno

  • Were you running stock besides a tune? when you got 276 hp?

  • Those are impressive numbers for stock

  • How much did it cost you for them to tune it for you?

  • $150.00

  • Wow. For how much hp you get after the tune. 150 is well worth it. Cobalts are awesome.

  • @itsxokayla that's IT!??!?! Holy hell! CHEAP! My fukin Camaro costs around $460 for a damn tune!

  • @itsxokayla hey what does tuning do to the car

  • i was thinking about brian tuning my ss/sc while i was up there. but i didn't have any mods and 231/205 is good enough for me right now haha. he does badass tunes

  • Jonridge, there is a black man next inline for pres (no offence) and your talkin that shit about the music?? racist people white and black need to grow the hell up. ANYWAY would the tune you did void your warranty out or no? cause i am undecided if i want a 350z or a balt ss the z is goodlooks but not that great of performance but the balt is ok looks with good performance and from what i just seen if warranty is no prob imma get a cobalt.

  • the warranty isnt voided the car is amazing gm did a great job building this car if u do go with the cobalt make sure u get one with the RPD in it thats a digital screen instead of the boost gauge i wish it was out when i bought mine

  • no it wont void the warranty, as long as it doesn't look like the ecu hasnt been tampered you be ok, i got the supercharge, i dynoed it when i got the stage 2,cold air, exhoust. and some other parts put into it, warenty still good, it only voids when the aftermarket part burns the computer or other than that its ok to get it into a dyno

  • I bet you anything that Barack Obama doesn't listen to rap.

Not only that but, is only half black.

  • grow the fuck up

  • thats fort minor or Mike Shinoda from linkin park, jack ass

  • I'm pretty sure I hear a nigger in there. Either way it sucks and it is "nigger music" even if it is white people.

The car is really nice though.

  • @jonridge lol funny part is its the white /asian guy from linkin park

  • Definitely the best 22k you can spend on a car if performance is the objective.

    Sweet little whip

  • thank u

  • @BigBeansM3 not really theres the wrx

  • no match for a LS1 car

  • lol sounds like somes a lil upset

  • lol, eh, i've seen a cobalt take some ls1's, but you know, those ls1's are barley modded or bone stock

  • still a punk ass cobalt

  • y did you watch the video

  • Well, I would drive one, but if I had the money, i'd get a v8, I'm just a car guy, i like to see what kinda power you can get out of some of these four bangers, it's pretty cool

  • is modified by kc performance Kansas City?

  • yeah this is the name of the shop

  • what do you mean by 'tuned'...are the second set of numbers still on stock boost?

  • tuned means your remap the ECU for my Whp.

The second numbers are with the tune and thats 22 Psi

  • i know what a tune is...lol. I'm just wondering if you're new tune included upping the boost from stock numbers...can't seem to find what stock boost is on the tc cobalt. i.e. is 22psi stock boost? Also, has the motor been broken in properly? How many miles are on it. You'll actually see much better numbers as you get up over 10 000 miles

  • 16 psi stock and the motor had 8,000 miles at the time when it was being tuned, it was broken in properly.

  • 16psi is not stock!!! The psi on this motor is variable. Depending on a number of different conditions (air temp, humidity, engine temp, etc.) the ecu controls the amount of boost! You can experience psi anywhere from 13-21. As reported by GM!!

  • well I would like you to post where you got your so called facts.

Your not going to get 21 Psi out of the factory. Like I said its 16.

  • second numbers are tuned by hptuners

  • damn 252 at the wheels is good stock.you would probaly beat me stock:(

  • this video would have been good w/o the music.. u ruined the whole thing with the music... rock

  • what would u rather hear 22's and man boobs by chunky boyz lol i can play that for you or u could play the movie and put some head phones on and listen to whatever u want

  • well what can i say not bad for such a bad car.. but still i would never drive that shit

  • Being that the cars can hold 22 and spikes at 25 psi im only at 22 psi. These clutches are a little bigger than the superchargers so im asuming they can hold a good amount of Hp. Clutch master has a after market clutch.

  • im a noob when it comes to putting shit on computers, ill talk to my brother and get him to do it. what boost are you running, the hahn tuner put me at 21 pounds on the dyno and at 23 pounds on the street on a cool day. hugh difference in drivability though im curious how much the stock clutch will be able to take.

  • I spy modified by KC and Squish behind the wheel! :)

  • real nice, is that with the hahn turner? ive seen tc as high as 296whp and 319wtq. right now i just tuned my to 280whp and 305wtq with just the hahn tuner. im waiting for the hahn 3in exhaust to come in. nice balt.

  • i'd like to see your dyno map so I can retune my car for my Whp. its tuned with a HpTuner

  • tell the girl she does good videos mike lol. by the way you should run it with that evo in the back ground, brian says its over 500 awhp

  • lol shit yeah right

  • damn fuckin shit right yea uh huh lmao nice vid

  • p.s.......i did not see my name on the credits for recomending brian,,, eh hem.... lol

  • These cars are monsters after they are tuned!

  • oh my god :]]
