High Jump Run-Up Calculation

Wow that it totaly unnessasary. There are lines on the high jump bar where ur plant step should be allined with. Have the jumper stand arms length away and run a reverse of their approach. Mark their last step and you have a perfect mark. As for number of steps that's the jumpers preference.

@acdcstxytompetty Man I'd so agree with you on this one. But what's crazy is theres some truth in this crazy bs going on. When I was at league finals for high jump. The other school had a personal trainer doing exactly what he just did and the competition was trash, they literally couldn't do anything themselves. But as soon as the trainer came over with his measure tape and all that we got dominated..

Six to ten steps is the normal range. Here I´m using a 3 step straight and a 5 step curve so the radius is not to tight. You may want to use a 4 and 4 step. Good luck

so then is it weird (cuz i had to take over high jump coach cuz we didnt have one) wen i was taught how to i was told to use a 10 step aproach??

Well after the trials the data you have will be distance in line from the bar and some distances out from the bar. These data can the easily be put on to a tape measure and place out in comp warm up. ok?

Thats because you are a cave man and associate with rocks easily. I know geometry and mathematic are confusing for some, that why I have made the calculator, so everyone can have a good run-up. Happy jumping :-)
