This is an amazing cover version. One of the best ever made. Instead of just copying the brilliant Tanita Tikaram version, they take it to another place and makes a great job of it. I actually prefer this to TT's version, but both are breathtakingly amazing.

Hmz... not too shabby... but in no competition to the original by Tanita Tikaram, even though the Pet Shop Boys tilt Liza Minelli to some new level and depth. But PSB alone cannot turn a musical star into a pop star.

Liza is a truly multitalented performer. Thank you John for a great video showcasing her many faceted talents. I loved her in the movie "Cabaret" and especially seeing her sing with her mother Judy Garland on Judy's TV show many years ago. An interesting and terrific post. 5*****
