  • Won't harm children eh? I don't know what would have happened to me if I couldn't have done that robot voice

  • What half wit decided on that audio? Bloody dreadful. 0/10 for taste

  • this can be used as a electric jet engine

  • what people don't find out is that leonardo da vinci made something like this. Facepalm

  • nice invent!!

  • IMMA FIREA MAH LAZAH!

  • Don't poo poo it until you look at its advantages:

    1) It moves air.

    2) It's no more efficient than a traditional box fan.

    3) It costs $400.

When you consider these advantages, can you afford not to own one?

  • 0:08 even lee

  • @Intronetz the is fucking funny, LOL!

  • @Intronetz I noticed this too

  • it's very nois

  • 666 likes :o

  • If the shit hits it, the area of damage gets minimized. Awesome

  • And ... they're expensive.

  • dude its pretty much just a really small fan inside that is inside a container than directs the air currents around.

  • good idea hope it is not $ 200 though

  • Nice, but the fan cost TWO HUNDRED FUCKING DOLLARS.

  • @TheAwesomeFormat Everything made my Dyson is expensive.. Maybe soon Dyson will let other companies make them?

  • I wonder when these are gonna be available in stores. I've been seeing videos for this for over a year now, but I have yet to see stores like Walmart sell any.

  • Comment removed

  • @sylvur Their made buy Dyson.. they have been here in Australian retail stores for a while now.. i dont think they sell well cause of how expensive they are

  • Aww...no more "luke I am your father" into the fan :(

  • "Chops up the air." Really? That is what the manufacture says, but there is nothing to 'chop'. It really continually swirls the air. You could say it pulses maybe, but the rate the fan is spinning would make the pluses very quick and virtually unnoticeable (and not on/off, but more like fast/faster). Does it cause turbulent flow? Yes but so would any powerful air moving machine.

  • It's nice and all.. but those things are like $400 here. I'll just stick to a normal fan.

  • its a bladeless fan...powered by a hidden bladed fan -_-

  • @jimbob9631 It's sooo sneaky! lol

  • @jimbob9631 well dude even jets have rotor blades....

  • THIS IS JUST WHAT I WANTED! oh how we suffered before with fans lol people are so stupid either way you get cold and it makes fucking noise

  • Can you say, "Hunt for Red October"? No moving parts. I wonder if this would work with water as well.

  • WTF?? seriously whats going on here? i have seen such a fan in a magazine and you could BUY it. it was no future thing or anything lol saw it 1 year ago

  • "... and uses the same amount of energy as conventional ones, but since it has no blades, it wont harm children if they poke their fingers inside."

What the... it is not stated whether it is as efficient (airflow per energy), and... it is some time ago somewhen had the idea to wrap a fence around fans... Stupid product, but the concept is nice. They should just not be creating the pressure by another, smaller (->faster -> less efficient and louder) fan...

  • If i had this id be tempted to hook up a gas line in side then turn the fan on and light a match when it comes out

  • Interesting technology, I will buy one of these when it's on the market.

  • @Wacram they hav been out for quite awhile now

  • It sucks cuz now u can't talk in to that fan n sound like a robot haha now that's old school but I like this fan cuz it does cool u down

  • la la la la...hmmm? *poke* SHIT!

  • wonder if they got a bribe for this one. piece of shit is 300 dollars, what a useless, overpriced gimmick. spend 1 minute telling your dumb child not to stick a digit in the fan and then go buy a vornado for 20 bucks. best fan available at major retailers.

  • But can it run Crysis?

  • I wonder if these things are safe enough to use in computers for silent air cooling. Would be better than bitching loud fans.

Or at the very least good enough to be used as the fan for liquid cooling.

  • @TheGreatSeraphim have you bought one yet or even experience it running on stores. I've heard that its loudness is compared to vacuums for carpet. If this is true, it would be really annoying. Could very well be true since it has a fan inside the canister that forces the air on a tube that is in the shape of a ring. This fan is from a company that makes vacuums for carpet.

  • this is the same model for the heli they are making and this would be helpful in hover car design

  • Fans have the wire cages on so kids wont stick their fingers in the fan.

And there's no problem with blades imo.

  • @MasticatedCake fucking oath especialy when this stupid piece of crap is 10 times more expensive then a standard pedistal fan and even if a kid was to remove the cage and stick their finger in a blade fan it isnt going to injure them just give them a nasty shock and they wont do it again.

I hate advertisers trying to instill fear about perfectly safe cheap and reliable products for the sake of their overpriced gimmicks. Its cool technology but that is it, no need to lie about the competition.

  • @goingtoeatpizza

Hey come on now! Don't be such a downer! It's the FUUUUUTUUUURRRRRRE... lol Today it's bladeless fans, tomorrow it's box-less Kleenex boxes!

  • I've been seeing these at Walmart. Like any Dyson product it is expensive as all hell.

Like a lot of so called "convenient" tech it's so expensive that those who could benefit most could never afford it.

  • who are the 22 dibshits that don't like this?

  • Why is it that in basically all of these videos, we don't have these things yet? They seem somewhat easy to make, a couple of them. I would love to see these.

  • I've seen a few of them at Best Buy for about $330.

    Not cheap.

  • this definitely has potential.

  • NO MORE ROBOT VOICES!!!!!

  • How could you have a "bladeless fan?" that doesn't even make sense.

  • I hope that this technology will soon be used for PC fans.

  • wow that's a really good design......

  • Wont be long til we see theese fans in store

  • i've seen them in household use already in youtube videos.

  • ok ..... NOW think this in REVERSE !!!

    what do you get ???

a much more efficient air to rotary-movement that can produce electricity !!!

if I am correct, am not 100% sure but it make sense when I taught about it ;)

    John

  • not really bladeless is it? u still need to get the air moving through there, theres a classical blade fan in the foot thingy. but true you wont hurt yourself with it.

  • And we all complain about the air being to choppy from conventional fans, don't we?

  • but how about the noise?

  • this person is really annoying. She sounds weird and when she ends a sentence it doesn't sound like she is ending it.

  • lmao, they have lots of videos i noticed. They need a new voice. That girl sounds very unintelligent and makes me think about sex too much

  • its like shes asking u a question

  • @jake77713 They always talk like that in British TV.

  • where is this now ? just a concept or actually being manufactured ?

  • I think Dyson make one, but like all Dyson stuff, it is expensive.

  • ive seen them in shops. im sure there manafactured

  • wow thats actually quite clever

  • I want one of those !

  • Typical British shamelessness ! This is about a stolen invention from Coanda old patents of 1935 ! Dieson is just a small and pervert thief and invented nothing ! The bagless vacuum cleaner is also stolen from the great Romanian inventor Henri Coanda (the father of Jet Aircraft ,100 years ago !) Bagless , bladeless, shameless ! Shame on you Perfid Albion !

  • @Nemesis4truth Hey!!....I love dyson products as much as you. Can we be friends?

James Dyson is a genius for inventing the bagless vaccum and the bladeless fan.

Hey, you know who i cant stand, that Henri Coandă, What a Lazy guy, just sat around not inventing anything, get a job! You know I heard he tried to claim he invented the dinosaur!?!?!

You know.....its a good job that someone DIDN'T ACTUALL INVENT THIS 100 years ago and not do anything about it or we wouldnt have these things.

  • I don't know about them, but I would stick my finger through that and find other ways to get hurt by it.

  • the air intake is interesting. I think it shows it to be on the hoop but i think it would be better if the intake was from the bottom of the rotor.

  • the circle thing is probably detatchable so you can wash it out.

  • could this technology become transfered to aviation? two that are maybe 10 times bigger, better air compressors, and stong but light material. Hmmm. . . .

  • Nice idea, internets for you!

  • well don't the use the shape at least in the turbines? i don't know if you can shoot the air fast enough to get it to really take off.. cool thoughts though

  • dust wont get hur if it gose in eighter

  • pretty cool... but will it still have the same effect when you talk into it? i mean wasnt the part of the fun in owning a conventional fan?

  • @diamonddill no it won't... but it also will servo as a balloon basketball hoop... or whatever XD

  • Awesome

  • Very clever, but how will babies learn not to stick thair fingers into fast rotating spinning blades? I guess the garbage disposal is the next best thing :)

  • Wish they would have done that before safer for kids, and babies.

  • @sweetone985 I was actually dissatisfied. i always laughed to see my son's head hit the blades

  • The air in the inimation looks like flames

  • I wonder if this is strong enough to be applicable in helicopters and other aircraft currently using propellers...

  • no that probably wouldnt work cause this is based on air currents and relying the thing to be in an enviroment with no wind or currents, I hardly think thats the case with flying

  • well , its real.

  • this product? or the helicopter idea?, if you're talking about this product, I know its real, its not exactly new stuff, I mean I saw it on the news some time ago.

  • The product , what helicopter idea, i meant the product. sry , i think i might have misunderstood.

  • but so do conventional blades, they create currents of air intended to counteract the force of gravity.

  • yea you do have a point there, maybe it could be true? but I just have a feeling that system looks really fragile for some reason... maybe I'm wrong

  • @squidmanlol That would be cool but judging by the way it works i wouldnt bet on it.

  • @squidmanlol You mean, like a hovercraft?

  • @jacksawild No, standard hovercraft use cushions to fill up, this would be more like a 'blade-less helicopter.'

  • @squidmanlol doubt it, but would be an interesting concept.

  • @squidmanlol What would the point of that be? x.x Helicopters can ALREADY fly using their propellers, why would they use the propellers to shoot air into a hoop and use that for lift? Use your head.

  • @Adkit2

the biggest reason I can think of is no more dangerous blades that can chop of limbs and kill people.

  • @Adkit2 the biggest reason I can think of is no more dangerous blades that can chop of limbs and kill people.

  • @squidmanlol With the right pressure anything will fly..

  • @squidmanlol ~compared to the traditional fan using same amount of power, the air drawn is much much less according to people who have bought one. So using it for aviation is impractical. I thought of the same thing when I first heard about this bladeless fan. Then i found out it actually has fan propeller blades inside the canister. forcing the wind to exit on the edge of the ring. Its also extremely noisy. people compare its loudness to vacuums for carpets.

  • @squidmanlol Not at all. You would need so much power and dollas.

  • @squidmanlol That's possible, they require strong rotors though and since there is a longer time for that air to travel through a ring larger than this one it might not work. Though, with this in mind can actually revolutionize the helicopter...wouldn't be as loud.

  • @squidmanlol please tell me that was satirical....

  • @squidmanlol ever hear of a jet??

  • thats awesome

  • YAY :) as i said i want things that look futuristic not some hopping crappy helicopter thing... I forgive u now inventors

  • thats pretty sick

  • When will they be on the market?

  • sweet i want one i lost my led and now when i go near it i get hit by it i got a little room

  • people will buy them because they are shiny :D

  • Shiny Good!

  • want

  • @dotstick123 yea this is going in my house! it better not be over $100 then i would be pissed that i pay for a fan that much lol

  • blades used in conventional fans chop up face

  • hahahaha

  • @ELIAXTRO

    hahahhaahaha

  • its like a magnifying that cools you instead of burning you. I want one!

  • the have hand dryer machines just like that already

  • where can i buy one =D

  • i believe dyson make them...

  • Whats the price of that thing?

  • I've seen many informative videos on this product, most of them showing the output compared to a conventional fan, and those that do show the mechanics show how the air is squeezed through the small slit. If anyone knows a video that shows the entire mechanics of it, such as the intake, output, and moving parts all together, that would be awesome.

  • It's pretty simple as made by the video. In the vertical column, there's a rotor (it's actually not bladeless in this sense) powered by an electric motor. The air is driven up and into the loop. The invisible blade look is made simply by an attachment: it's more of an ascetic improvement than a technological innovation.

  • @TogrutaJedi thanks, i get it now :)

  • @hamstap85 then some company will steal the idea and reproduce it at a cheaper price....its not that goos of an idea to do that b4 release...are they even selling them yet?

  • "uses the same amount of energy of conventional ones"

Shouldn't it be using 1/15 the energy?

  • it takes a lot more effort to get that 1/15 of the air below to flow fast enough to give you noticable wind above. plus it has to move air around, up, and sideways unlike normal fans

  • well if they poke their fingers in the fan blades, isn't that a learning experience?

  • lady talkin sounds soooo dumb.

  • i fucking hate her voice

  • i see they still didn't get rid of the annoying voice over girl

  • i think Sandrine also is head online editor or something...

imagine being married to this bitch..

  • Just another invention stolen from Coanda patents ,like the bagless vacuum cleaner ! Bagless, bladeless, honourless ! The guy is just a thief and a

lier and for this "bravery" was made knight

    by the old pervert lady...

  • lol that looks like briliant idea for a fan but im kinda wondering about the output flow ..i mean when i try to imagine it work i kinda think the breez u'll get will be very weak as the element creating the flow does not act on the air directly, wana see a working example

  • its pretty strong i can assure you

  • the dyson air multiplier. very expensive and yet to be refined

  • yay stumble upon!

  • stumbled too ;P

  • The fan has a blade, but it is inside the fan base.

  • lol people stumbling here and I'm one of them. it's like sliders but ya know... it's stumblers.... yeah.. Anyway this fan is like science gone mad! Who the hell thought of this?

  • lol i stumbled upon this too :3

  • cool!

  • and in the end the argument is, it wont harm children? WTF

  • for some reason I don't like this. I don't know why, I just don't...

  • its a coolish idea, but its actually louder (and a shetload more expensive) than a standard desk fan.

I'll stick with my shuttered air thanks.

  • What can I say 'I'm a fan'!

    sorry

  • omg, thats awesome!!!

  • stumbledd

  • stumbled.

  • Gotta love stumble. Back to the part of the vid about kids not hurting themselves by sticking there fingers into a fan, I see that as a learning experience.

  • stumbled

  • Comment removed

  • so, when does the shit hits this????

  • She's like the G-man in the way she speaks.

  • It's a Bladeless Fan, Mr. Freeman...

  • STUMBLE

  • stumbled

  • Stumbled

  • i stumbled on this one... sooo random

  • stumbled

  • stumbled

  • but will it still make that awesome sound?

  • LA LO LU-KE I AM YO FATHER

  • lol, RIP Chris Farely.

This is a brilliant invention. Stumbled.

  • stumbled

  • Stumbled

  • Chops up air? Lol

  • Is this not the least appropriate video to be having a religious debate? haha cmon people... gettin this fan fa sho by the way

  • What an annoying voice...she should talk into a fan...it might help.

  • still though....thumbs up jesus!!!!...that guy was pretty cool...all sandles and shit. and the beard...cool fucker.

  • how did the guys below end up talking about god?? ha ha...i love the internet. its a fan...just a fan!! lets not fight people, lets just enjoy the cooling breeze........

  • Yo, dawg. A rotor has blades. That means this fan has blades. Just because you can't see them, doesn't mean they don't exist.

  • she has a funny accent

  • ah that Dyson, first he makes that funky vacuum and now this? well wowee. this is neat

  • cool fan... how much?

  • get over it there is no god ,unfortunately Einstein did more harm than good for humanity.we are now in the 21st century most free thinkers know mankind has to evolve socially and the only things holding us back is religion and a out dated monetary system.global education and goverment is whats needed.there is enough on this planet for us all we just need better management.war is not necessary,it is redundant, as common people we have to stick together. watch on google zeitgeist addendum

  • explanation of last sentence:

the faith of an athiest is that nothing happens to you when you die. What if you're wrong? if you're right, nothing happens anyway... just sayin...

send me a message if you want to debate me. (this is fun)

    :)

  • divine excrement is there no video on youtube that is devoid of religious debate?

    That said...

I find pascals wager to be one of the most compelling reasons to avoid all gods. That frequency which is brought up among the faithful indicates more about the nature of god's relationship with man than all the bibles in the world. Why worship a god that keeps itself so distance that folks are reduced to a coin flip regarding their fate? Why is gullibility so cherished? I cannot worship such a god.

  • @Hefotos

"That's just the way it is..."

"shackles you to a belief which is irrefutable, despite any facts..."

    "...and that is irrefutable."

see the problem here? you're basically saying that there is no absolute truth, which, you are stating AS absolutely true.

also, since when does being religious inhibit intelligence? in definition, religion is something you believe in. Therefor, atheism is the belief that there is no God, correct? What a religion. I wish I had the faith of an athiest.
