I have purchased a used JVC pro 1/2 inch 3 ccd camera for $2,500.00 with only 100 hours on the drum meter,it had problems so I sent it in.

After spending $500.00 to JVC service on it ,19 hours later it had the same exact problem.I lost an big $ client that day .

Sent it back and was told they wanted another $200.00 to repair the same issue.

If they treat a pro camera this way how do you think they'll treat your $1,000.00 camera ?

Stay Far Away from ALL JVC products,you'll only get burned .

In Australia i have seen this at "The Good Guys' JVC EVERIO GZ-HD30 80GB FULL HIGH DEF CAMCORDER for AUD $999 Ebay has them in Melbourne (Australia) for $899..AUD

Ill be going to The Good Guys tomorrow to buy it myself and opting for the extended warranty ($169) to be on the safe side.

divx is the best codec with the smallest size...

do not shrink your movie too much...

I had something about 200 mb for 2:23 minutes....

You have also to watch for your converting options for divx...use the best quality there!

Thats the reason you bought this Cam...you want to have High Definition and in fact HD format is always huge.

I uploaded this video 2 times.

The first time was disappointing...really bad quality. So I set the converting options really high to get this one....

unless u have vista you must buy cyberlinkpowerdirector. look for it on google and go to cyberlink website. normal is 85 bucks the advanced one is like 150 or somthing

to upload for best quality connect camera using usb cord, and on camera click option to upload to file sharing site. then just upload to youtube.

what you need to do to upload it is save it on computer using the cable to connect camera to computer, copy and save video file, than upload using multi uploader

my movie was realy huge....uploaded something about 200 mb...you can also watch it in high quality....so dont shrink the movie too much or u have less quality here :)

It comes with one and you have to use it for two of the recording qualitys cause its films in a JVC format

Nope unless you switch it over to SD. So for HD you have to use the program that comes with it to at least convert it to a file name that Movie Maker accepts

Thats what you want to avoid, that lowers the quality of the video. But it is an option in the menu of the camcorder. That is to record in a lower quality format recognizable by most editing programs. You can convert to other formats from the program that comes with the camcorder, which is what i use and all my HD videos are converted to Windows Media Players highest quality HD.

Its not HD, Its HDD. Hard Disk Drive.

It has nothing to do with picture queality.

well it works when u change the file name but its not realy mpg...try than to burn it and watch it again...it doesnt work with only rename the file...thats my exp.

theres an easier way to change the file type.. just rename it at the end.. instead of .TOD u can change it to .mpg or .M2T it works try it!! although the video quality as mpg will be a lil less than what it originally was.. but M2T has the same quality as the original video

Hope you like the camcorder. I have the same one and I love it. The file format it uses is a bit of pain but if you can overlook it then its a great camera for the price.

Its an amazing picture quality and also I made a good deal with futureshop about the price...

To convert the file is still ok....I use Magix video deluxe...

Nightvision is useless for this cam but I dont need it at all...

there is evereytime loss of quality when you convert your files to another...but its is very small the difference...its still a great quality....on hdmi you have the best quality...at the end it depends on you what kind of codecs you use and wich quality you want for your movie...
