I love this recording so much that I have filtered it from this destructive buzz in Audition CS5.5, and was much surprised to find that beloved grunting at 1:45. I couldn’t help smiling. Thank you for this recording!
A brave performance - very demanding technically as with all Cziffra's virtuoso transcriptions. Perhaps Cziffra himself plays the piece with more energy and fearless abandon but then his is a studio recording and not as an encore in a 'live' concert.
great job!! :) i have a question for u, although i think this is not related to this video. do you play worse than usual when they wear tuxedo?? because i think that may limit the movement of people's wrists
but superb technique. of course there were mistakes, but they're completely overridden by the great skill that you have. not many people in this world can play Cziffra's transcription as accurately as you have. bravo!
Lot of buzz on the recording, sadly. But he did a great job on the interpretation, despite whatever issues I might have with his technique.
It's hard to get any dynamic variation in this piece, because most people are usually struggling to hang on for dear life to such a big handful of notes.
I still think the Konstantin Scherbakov performance is my favorite, but this is quite impressive.
Christ that must be a bugger to play. I envy you Pasquale - I still have quite a few years before I'm up to that level.
But god I love seeing you play and if you ever get to replay the Moszkowski - would love to see it... the other one is badly out of synch and it's one of my favourite concertos of all time.
Well done - piece looks like a tormentful devil. Especially the last 30 seconds.
Amazing, did it take you long to practice it? Especially the leaps in the left hand near the end.

Your technique isn't enough to play this...
