Hope you don't have two males together! But i wouldn't risk such a pretty and expensive fish with tiger baarbs these are a bad combination as they bite their fins! I also have a blood red HMPK betta, hes black with a gold sheen on his body, red fins with white highlights and black outline =) cost me £31! They are rare aren't they! lol

I saw a HM who was that same bright, bold red today in a local fish shop. It took all my willpower not to walk out of the store with him LOL.

I personally wouldn't put a betta in with tiger barbs and especially not another plakat lol. barbs tend to be a little agressive and they may nip at his fins.

i did that once and the betta killed 2 of my lil tigers.never will do that again lol

i doubt it's a full blooded plakat. I could tell by looking at it's movement and tail. It's a half breed.

he is a full blood plakat, which could fight. but obviously, i would never put him in a fight because he's too much of a good looking show fish. but hey i might put him in a show though.

if you got 8 barbs at least, then they usually just mess with each other. no question as to why my bettas are doing fine and left alone while being in the same tank

Yeah the most exspensive fish ive seen here in the Uk was 850 POUNDS yeah that was for a pair of crosshatch triggers they're awsome but they're marine ='[[ and like yeah theres fish like that for around 2 quid maybe 6 quid in an exspensive shop heheheh your just unlucky!
