Es ciertamente un descubrimiento por el acompañamiento. Siempre me emocionó The Partisan, pero esta versión tiene algo más. Quizá estar interpretada cerca. Hay trozos mal subtitulados en castellano
Cohen...mój.Od zawsze.Znam chyba wszystko.Ta piosenka..ballada...to wykonanie..ten śpiew..ten tekst...i ta GRA tego Pana prawej..Skąd ludzie mają taki talent???
Je les ai tous écoutés, les ''partisans'' celui-ci est de loin le meilleur. Sa voix est parfaite, les musiciens géniaux. Et bien sur le sujet poignant...
Hamas? I dont think Lenny is on the side of Islamic fanatics lobbing rockets at israeli civillians....His song Field Commander Cohen is about his time in Israel
What an excellent song to begin with and a fantastic version. We should encourage school children to learn this song which does such a good job of expressing the horrors of the Nazi menace that tried to destroy France and also the spirit of the resistance and allies!
Hogy micsoda nagyszerű ez a dala Leonard-nak! Fantasztikus, csodálatos, a legmagasabb fokon tudok róla beszélni. Minden tisztelet és elismerés az ilyen nagy művésznek. Bravó Leonard Cohen !!
in the Austin City Limits of this song he nods his head at the oud player before one of the soloy parts and after watching and one other one on youtube here I'm guessing he pretty much had to cause the man kept trying to jump in in the wrong spot, I'm no oud expert but he seems pretty damn good at playing it.
think he would have made a great actor as well as poet musician he has so much charisma maybe he would have made a good politician, but hell bet he's a good lover ha ha
wonderfully evocative & lyrical rendition of theis song...still gives me chills after all these years! ...translation of French verse: Translation of the french part: The germans were at my place They said, sign yourself, But I am not afraid I (re-)took my weapon. I have changed my name a hundred times I have lost wife and children But I have so many friends I have all of france An old man, in an attic Hid us for the night The germans captured him He died without surprise... ]
I think this is my favourite clip of Leonard Cohen on YouTube...magic indeed! At the end of the song, I bet he's thinking on what bliss it must be to have such wonderful musicians and back-up singers perform with him...looks like he's standing there just savouring the moment.
this is a fantastic clip of a totally magic artist... - he is fantastic... - the closest you come to a man who gives you peace, harmony and tranquility in your inner soul....
Phantastic! Just about the best LC live performance I can imagine, with phantastic "instrumentos de cuerda" ("stringed instruments" says my dictionary). Is the oval "guitar" a lute?
John Bilezikjian is "America's Oud Virtuoso". Mr. Bilezikjian may be the most prominent Oudist of his generation. He is a master Oudist who has elevated this instrument to the concert stage as well as continues to perform as a folk musician. He has performed for some 46 years on this ancient eleven stringed Persian fretless instrument dating back some 2,000 years. The Oud is performed with an eagle's quill.
I found out in the meantime. The instrument is an "oud" belonging to the family of lutes. A google search with wiki & oud brings the first hit. The virtuoso, btw, is John Bilezikjian --> dantzrecords dot com

Esta canción, en Euskadi, en aquellos años, significó más de lo que parece. Hoy digo: viva la paz.
