Thats crazy, shortly after the show, news reporters ran a story where 15 elderly senior citizens had a heart attack, I think it might have had to do with the sneak pass. lol

If the jet was flying faster than the sound it's making you would hear the "unmistakeable" sound of a sonic boom. The Blues or anybody else are not allowed to do this over land. It was banned back in the '60s. Now when a jet approaches the speed of sound, (just below 740mph) you will get the sensation of the jet passing you before you hear it because light travels faster than the speed of sound, therefore you see it before you hear it.

sneaky pricks hahaha. i was at a great airshow near sydney australia late last year. was fantastic. My friend is in the airforce and works on the jets. Was the last airshow the F111 will ever fly. They did heaps of those sneaky runs! being a low level bomber it made sence. What a great jet.

Lol I'm on my brothers profile right now but, I was the person that flew that jet. I've been in the navy for 14 yrs and after 11 I was flying in the shows, I find it funny I actually found a video on this, people in the crew usually take turns being the person that does the scaring because we all want our turn lol. Unfortunately 2010 was the last and final airshow I would do in chicago : ( fun experiance though...
