@TheGreenCheekConure "Small Cramped Cage"? Really. That cage belongs to her. It is where she feels safe and protected. Also you can tell she is used to getting out and interacting with people so she is not kept locked up 24x7. That Guy wouldn't know how to care for her. Probably would have feed her junk food. No cage for her. Yep, she wouldn't have lasted long. Don't think he would have been taking her to the vet for checkups either. Probably sell her for a bottle of booze.
Why not? I have seen videos from German Lovebird breeders who keep their birds outside year-round (not free-flight, just the cages). I was amazed-living and breeding in an environment so different from their African ancestry.
I meen in petshops..ok breeders may handle it differently, i know one shop in bochum where some macaws are outside on perches. the shop claims that their birds come from indonesia where there is a great breeding facility
@goldencockatoo That is crazy, and makes my heart sink. Getting your message today has inspired me to go to my local bird aviary/breeders :) lol It's amazing what people will do, think of the quality of life of someone who does such things. I hope you guys never have to deal with anyone like that again!
you deserve all "your pets" stolen for funding the animal slave trade. where do you think those exotic birds come from? WILD LAND living WILD LIVES. and you are funding the slavery and entrapment of these poor animals. slavery was wrong in the olden days and its still wrong today. liberate the innocents!
People like you, extremists, are very scary and only a stone's throw away from becoming terrorists. How about toning down your rhetoric, please.
Nobody deserves to have anything stolen from them, that's so wrong on any level. For you to say that we deserve to have our birds stolen is heartless and mean-spirited. Do not pass go, do not collect $200.
You should be ashamed. Just because these birds are in captivity, doesn't somehow mean they are "slaves". These people work hard to raise their birds so they are well socialized, and stealing them would be wrong. People are ALWAYS going to have animals as companions. Get over it and stop your extremist crap, thanks.
Poor baby! I can't imagine why someone would want to take a beautiful bird like that...but then again, the first report did say that the perpetrator was drinking heavily.
This is why it pays to have security cameras. Not only are they good for the owner's protection, but for customer saftey, and the safety of products and that of the livestock.
Its better for the bird to be with that guy then in that small cramp cage.
