at 1:18 i thought i'd point out that the doctor referred to the baby as a "baby" ... i'm a little confused cuz most arguments FOR abortion have argued it isn't a baby... am i wrong? :s

and if he claims the child to be a baby, (and actually believes it too) why does he perform the ending of their lives?

I'm Australian and this is CRAZY! I've been to a sexual health clinic (Marie Stopes International, it's Australia's equivalent to Planned Parenthood) to get an IUD and I just walked in, there were no protesters, no security guards, nothing. I can't even process how awful it would be for American women accessing healthcare, from abortion to contraception to be harassed and for doctors to be murdered. Good luck to all you American pro-choice activists, you're doing wonderful work.

I agree with the doctor's stance on this issue, and applud his bravery; but, man, he's got the personality of a houseplant. He is honest and straightforward, though, you gotta give him that. When he talks, he sounds like he's reciting the Periodic Table of Elements, but he is brave...

So, what I want to know is why they didn’t show the fetal parts after they were aborted? If the pictures pro-lifers use are photo shopped, than they had the perfect opportunity to prove it. I mean, why not show the entire abortion procedure from start to end??? In fact, that was Leroy Carhart, and he now does late term abortions. Why doesn’t he show that??

@jennniles To show any sort of medical procedure requires the patient's permission. If the patient does not give their permission, it cannot be shown.

@laurenscomet They did show some of the procedure, just not the messy parts. And I’m sure if there’s a woman willing to tweet her abortion, there would be someone willing to show all of the procedure on TV.

But my question still stands, if they say that the images pro-lifers use are wrong, than why not find a woman willing to show it on TV and prove it once and for all? Maybe because they want abortion to be the image that was presented in this clip... nice, peaceful and clean.

He just admitted it himself! "It doesn't matter what you think Jane Doe should do with her BABY..."! Baby! as in live human! What if I was to take my baby and I don't know, kill him/her. After all it doesn't matter if in uterus or not, still a baby. It does matter what people do with babies and last time I checked anyone who killed their baby was on the news in a heartbeat and facing criminal charges!

Finally... A mainstream TV news report which shows what hypocrites these right-to-lifers are. They have NO concern for the mother or her child once she gives birth.

What would make another interesting story is what happens to the welfare of these mothers and their children after they are harassed by protesters into going through with the pregnancy. Tricked into thinking that these protesters will actually care for her once she returns home.

It takes more than "prayers" to help these women.
