Well, it's sorta playback. He sang it live at the awards show, but before they aired it they touched up his voice by sort of mixing it with the actual song, if that makes sense. haha.

so its both live, and playback.

but i love tokio hotel :) and much rather prefer bill's 100% live voice. not half and half.

okay, so yeah, 1:56-2:01 sounds like the normal version but that's because thre's not a lot u can do with that part of the song to make it sound different even when it is performed live. but i definitly think this is a live performance and not a playback since every other part sounds live.

they're both amazing and the best part of this performance is that it's not a play back =] yay!! im basically an expert ond etecting Tokio Hotel's play backs and this is definitly not one of them ^^ its not that hard to tell if its a play back cause u can hear it in his voice, play backs sound exactly like the music videos and live performances sound slightly different. besides, with live performances u can hear it in his voice =] go TH!

Look girl, there's no need to get upset about this.

If you've been fan for 3 years you'd know the normal version very well, right? So, if you listen 1:56 to 2:01, you'd notice that part sounds EXACTLY like the normal version, yeah? That's 'cause some parts are of the normal and some parts are of the "orchestral" song. You can even download this version and listen carefull.
