  • I've been at Al Udaid for few months in 2006... Guys, you really know how to fight a war in style! :) I was working for the company involved in the work for expanding the base, great place, great colleagues an a good liason officer from the AF unit... A7?

  • Best Tanker video on the internet, I watch it every time I go on a mission and it pumps me up so much! Thanks for the great video, five stars easy.

  • That bird would look alot better with Kadena tiger stripes on it. LOL! Nice vid! You just made me miss the Air Force real bad. Thanks!

  • in my freshman year of AF JROTC, i sat jump seat in the cockpit on landing. it was fun. im hoping to get the boom operator position when i go air force

  • How do I go about getting your job? that would be a rush!! GREAT vids, and thank you for serving!!!!!!

  • Call your AF recruiter

  • If you want to be a pilot, I don't recommend the recruiter. He'll sweet talk you into enlisting and then maybe 5 years later when you learn the truth, you can cross over. You have to be an officer to be a pilot. That requires a bachelor's degree and a commission... either the AF Academy, ROTC, or OTS. You can go active duty, guard, or reserves.

  • But the crew is enlisted, isn't it?

  • Just the boom operator. Pilots and navigators (for those few remaining planes that have them) are officers. Other enlisted aircrew jobs on other planes include load masters, flight engineers, sensor operators, etc.

  • Personally, that looks like a fun job. Currently, I'm hoping to go that route as a boom Op apprentice. I'm brushing up on my math and doing about an hour of cardio a day, watching my eat.

Long road but hopefully it'll be worth it.

  • Also, if for some reason you get DQ'd from flight duty, then being a crew chief is the next best thing. We go with the bird every time it goes somewhere and unlike a pilot in the heavy world, my name is on the side of my bird.

  • Woohoo! September I'm taking my first ride in one of those beauties. Ah, I love CAP...

  • lol this song goes perfect with this song

  • My brother does this in the Air Force, he's in the Middle East right now!!! Nobody kicks ass without tanker gas!!!

  • i got to go in one of those in real life. i got to use the yoke and use the throttles but the engines were off and we were parked. it was a field trip :)

  • As a formr Tanker Crew Chief I have to say boomers rock! Super video!

  • I love working on these tanks! BOOM suckers! Boeing San Antonio will keep them in the air and our boys in the fight!USA will take your best shot........

  • That was great! NKAWTGN!!!!!

    Booms forever!

  • Damn, I love my job. Nice video.

  • I crewed r model #0312 at McConnell '85-'94. we received the first R models back in 85. The 384th ARW(H) now the 22ARW

  • 22 AMXS baby.

    Mcconnell Afb Ks

    312 is still here =].

Matter of fact, had a centering cylinder go out on it today =].

  • I miss my 135. ACC on #1512 w/ 940th, We Rocked!

    Thanks for the clip!

  • I have this on CD too from that deployment. I'm the one tanking the AWACS at the 1:00 mark. I'm a C5 Engineer now. I miss doing AR but I don't miss the Deid or flying around in circles for hours on end.

  • I remember getting this off the morale drive at the Deid when I was there at the end of '04! I always wondered who had made it, too. BTW I'm a crew chief from Fairchild...

  • Sorry... Yeah, I did the Deid 4 times... in my first year as a co! I remember putting it on the drive there, but it was about 700MB at the time.
