  • I think it is just investigating as well. They don't seem sad or calm at all, just curious and maybe shocked.

  • use just a knife on the buck , game day changes then doesn't it

  • who gives a flying fuck. i love shooting deer. MMMMMmmmmmm Venison! shot a small six point red this morning, didnt see any other deer crying about it

  • hunters are lame cowards with small dicks

  • @themoz3

    small brains too!

  • ;( Where is this?

  • deer are just big rat's

  • Deer know instinctivly not to hang around a dead deer too long. This could spread disease that the other deer could have died from, as well as not hanging around an area that their could be predators in. "Respect" is a learned emotion that we are brought up with and is not something we naturally know, so therefor theres no way those deer are being "respectful" for the fallen deer, just cautious. Do we as humans hang around a corpse for long periods? No. Would we eat food around it? No.

  • My brother took a bad shot a deer. The bullet broke a front leg in two. That deer, as well as the others with it, scattered in the same general direction....my direction. They ran for a short time and slowed after a 100 yards. Instead of the group breaking up and fending for themselves as I was accustomed to, they hung together. All the deer seemed to have a sense of concern. 5 minutes it took for the deer to make it the remaining 100 yards to my stand. Luckily, I was able to finish it cleanly.

  • what is the music in this clip?

  • hunting has got NOTHING to do with this video and I am pretty disgusted it's even been bought up and attempted to be justified.

  • for like 2 hundred years hunters have been caring for the earth and fighting to save this place... just recently has the rest of the world started caring about saving it

  • Mmmmmm!!! Look at all that venison!!!!

  • If that deer died of a disease they might contract it as well ,by licking the dead one. If deer hunting were banned all you deer huggers would be crying ,my car my car my poor car is all bent up. If animals were not meant to be eaten. Why are they made of meat?

  • We are made of meat. Are WE made to be eaten. And no, I'm not defending the "deer huggers", I'm simply giving you things to contemplate before making retarded comments before.

  • Im made of meat are you going to eat me?

  • Without hunting thing would get to overpopulated. Look at CWD the outbreak would be even worse. nature cant handle all of it , and thats where we step in.

  • To tell everyone that people kill deer is wrong. You 1st have to go to YOUR government. They are the ones that allow hunters to harvest, or in your words 'KILL' the animals. Without this control over the population by humans they would die from diseases. I have seen many deer and others animals died and dieing from diseaes. It huts to see them stuggle with this. At least a hunter can do it clean and quick. thank you for this posting

  • I know hunting deer is disliked by many people, but if we don't hunt deer, they will become overpopulated. If that happens, they will all become sick and die. more would die than what would be hunted.

  • Still pushing the 'overpopulation' card? Please... let nature take car of it's self.

  • Nature is far more cruel than hunters. High deer populations of deer meen that durring winter when food is scarce a large portion of them will starve to death. Thats not a quick shot to the heart like a hunter that is a slow suffering death. The population soon grows large again and the cycle starts all over. Why shouldnt we keep the population below that point.

  • As a result of hunting Deer vehicle accident has gone up and down. There is a video on my favorite why don't you watch it.? There is absolutely no excuse for killing unless its purely for survival or to defend yourself.

  • DVAs are not caused by hunters. If you really believe that we cause them then explain to me why over 80% of DVAs happen at night. Hunters keep wildlife populations within the carrying capacity of the land. Nature is no longer able to do this by itself because of the abundant food sources in the summer months such as crops but in the winter they have few food sources since the crops were harvested in the fall.

  • @dandelion45 So you're a vegetarian? Cause if you've eaten a hamburger you've killed.

  • well that would be the best option but we've already messed with nature by eliminating natural predators, so we have to keep it in check. I agree with the over population statement the more there are the less food there is therefore thinning the herds keep them strong and healthy.

  • very true

  • You REALLY are OVERPOPULATED!! RELOAD and GET TO WORK!!!

  • Animals definitely feel some sort of emotion. I wouldn't say grief but loneliness for sure. Look at how your pets act when your other pets die. I've seen this several times, especially in dogs. But the deer are not showing respect to this dead deer. They are most likely not eating the grass because it is covered in rotting meat and their instincts go against eating that. The strange way that the deer are acting is probably a result of them hearing you or catching your scent on the wind.

  • they are not acting that way because they feel grief they are acting that way because they are confused as to why that deer wont get up or what is wrong with it. they are not respecting the deer dumbass. i have seen big bucks pierce other dead deer numerous times. bucks have even been known to actually to try to breed a dead doe. of course, they will look for familiar deer and recognize them but as far as missing them? no way or feeling sorry for them or showing them respect? come on now

  • I am currently reading about animal emotion for class. Firstly, we do not know for certain that nonhuman animals act on instinct alone because we do not have the ability to introspect as, lets say, a deer or a chimpanzee. But it is likely that they have some awareness. Second, animals do emotions because they express them behaviorally. If interested, read The Expression of Emotion in Animals and Man by Darwin or When Elephants Weep by Masson

  • Grief? LOL, nothing more than curiosity. Geezes get real. Animals are not what Waly Disney said they were. Poor poor emo's

  • I shot a deer once and the others stomped on its head. Yeah that's grief.

  • Wea already know animals can experience forms of greif and othe emotional attributes, it's a scientific FACT. The only reason that it isn't widely known or except is becuase of the contiversy.

  • Dude WTF are you waiting for? Reload and kill the rest!!! hahahaha

I don't see you how you can hunt to this music. LOL hahaha

  • Dude! WTF are you waiting for? Reload and kill the rest!!! hahahaha

  • Animals definately grieve. Wild ones are just usually too busy trying to survive to let it show much. I've seen a fox basically commit suicide when her kits were killed, pets mourn for weeks after a companion or owner dies, horses stop eating and starve because they've lost a herd member.

Do humans REALLY think they're the only animals with emotions?

This hunting bullshit is really getting on my nerves too. STAY the FUCK OUT of the balance if you want to help it.

  • I FEED THE DEER,,,TO MY KIDS !!

  • Pippin's a good singer

  • you're an idiot...animals have no sense of self awareness. they act on instinct not emotional feelings. humans are the only species on earth that have developed emotions. you can blab all you want about how animals get sad when their mates die and whatnot, but its bullshit. they don't have the brain capacity to comprehend such things.

  • Sorry, it's your brain capacity that is in question on this one. Try watching the Discovery channel or Animal planet, or read something. Your opinion was common a few decades ago.

  • I love your videos, you are such a soulful person, I really appreciate your footage, you really have touched me today. Thanks for asking me to join your channel. I guess that is what you call it. Like I say I am still new to all this youtube stuff. Thanks again. I'm trying to watch all your videos now.

    Kym

  • Ofcourse animals grieve. They have feelings, almost the same as we human. I see it in mine animalshelter where a rodent lost her mate first and became false. But she changed when I spended much time on her. Unfortenately she was attacked by another one and lost 1 of her front legs and lost the sight on 1 eye. She was, and still is, shocked and depressive. I could clearly see the difference between her moods.

    Nice vid, beautiful music.

  • i hunt...this is really cool

  • You guys do realize that I was being sarcastic. Those deer were just trying to figure out what was going on and why was the other deer just laying there.

    your welcome bitches

  • This was such a beautiful video and put tears in my eyes. I am surrounded by them everyday

    Thank you

  • Incredibly touching video---Thank you so much for sharing. It truly sickens me when I hear hunters claim that animals do not grieve, as if they would ever know or even care since their only concern is to destroy animals. Thank you so much again for this and proving what most of us have always known---animals do indeed grieve. Peace.

  • "their only concern is to destroy animals"

I guess that is why hunters spend more money yearly that any other organization for conservation of animals. It is called management not destroying. If you want to destroy the animals ban hunting. Then disease will take over and kill them all. Whitetail deer kill more humans yearly than any other animal in the world. I do not condemn anyone for their beliefs but, do not condemn me without at least doing research to truly understand the balance of nature

  • wow both of you are stupid! deer meat is one of the best tasting foods so yeah i guess im such an evil person cuz i hunt deer but i dont see anyone saying oh thats so sad they just killed a cow o wait lets go to a steak house and eat all u nonhunters and animal activist are pathetic

  • @Farmtiger One day he(my neighbor) came home with 4(18 by5) trailers of deer (heads only) and wolfs(skins) stacked bottom to top! tell me does that count as management.

  • @Farmtiger

Bullshit. Nature has done well for 3 billion years without human management.

  • so where was the bowing??? Nothing out of the ordinary. They were just curious why there was a dead one laying there.

  • Just beautiful, amazing and touching! Bless your heart for sharing this.

    Namaste.

  • What is it?

  • amazing footage!

  • We are as they are and their emotions as are ours.

  • This is wonderful footage,it's very interesting to see them react to this. Thanks for posting! 5 stars!
