No he doesn't..! For those who don't know. Instead of conventionaly cow hide or raw hide used for the drum head. The African Djembe, Ashiko, Djun Djun and more usitlize the Goat Skin for the head of the drum. You can play for hours and hours without it hurting your fingers and hands. I noticed how I couldn't play as long on Congo Drums made with cowhide. There is a lot to be learned about African instruments. Sincerely.
