  • well they can raise animals, grow food while waiting for the job. KUDOS to the people who helped technically, not just blabbing

  • I lived in THIS tent city for over 6 months!! There are 6 total! They relocate every 3 months to a different church or location. Some like it there, and don't try to work, but like my husband and I, we had no choice! You don't get a free ride while you are there! Everyone has to do security at least 3 times a week, keep a log of where you applied for work, and the tents are checked reqularly to make sure you don't do anything stupid. If you don't do it, you get kicked out!!

  • @mzmitch88, just like the movie call the BEACH.

  • @SamDeRe81 Actually a good majority of them are actually under employed, meaning they have not been able to find a full time job. Some have also been forced out of their low rent apartments which were converted to condos.

  • These tent cities seem to pop up wherever housing is way overpriced. I wonderif there are any of there in NYC or Washington DC.

  • Jews Opened up US borders Emanuel "JEW" Celler said the US would not be flooded with third world rejects and we have received 125+ million since 1965. 50 million + since 1992 look a the deficits since the Jews opened the borders

  • The Jews are very wealthy they have ripped americans off since WWII with their holohaox I suggest you get the money back off them

  • absolutely, that leper tribe has gravy-trained the "hollow-cause;" and has used the niggers as both their merchant-shop watchdogs and their pseudo-kin, homo-thug subordinates in entertainment, sports and media; a total fucking disaster to America, and to humanity.

I would kill to have front row seats for the end to this ugly bitch of a planet.

  • If they do have Kids' more reason for Welfare too take the Kids! It's sad..

  • " No kids are allowed which creates a huge problem "

No kids allowed? so what happens to the families then? are they going to be separate too until some of them is going to find a job?

well and blaming the illegals wouldn't solve this problem.

If you want to blame someone

then you have to blame yourself for your lifestyle

  • @RedClownKnight : Kids are not allowed because the STATE won't let them!! If someone becomes pregnant, and are homeless, they are moved into a DCF home where BOTH parents can stay and the mother and father are drug tested on a regular basis. Again, some people can't help it. If you don't apply for jobs and do what you are suppose to, you get kicked out! It's not a free ride!!

  • Now I know why Obama keeps sending troops to Iraq and Apfganistan. We allready have 250,000 homeless U.S Veterans on our streets. If our troops come home there will be another (lets say) 50,000? 60,000? 70,0000? Hmmm....in the meantime, thousands upon thousands of illegal aliens are in the U.S UNLAWFULLY. Go figure.

  • Yeah, blame it on the illegal aliens. Is there nothing that you people haven't found a way to blame them for?

  • Sad thing is, these People have jobs, just not enough money for rent ?

    Job Application :

    What your Address ?

    Um......

    Exactly !

  • some have jobs, some like the life style, some are terribly challenged, some are rebounding from whatever brought them to the streets.

    PO Box 15432, Seattle 98115

  • they should be showing this on the media, of course we're in the dark about reality to keep moral up.

  • Some say the intent is to keep them out of view so it doesnt upset anyone too much.

  • I have 3 questions:

    1. What if one of the homeless people can't possibly find a pernament shelter?

    2. Do they accept only the homeless?

    3. Are they responsible for ALL the things that happen to the homeless?

Its ok if you don't respond..

    P.S i am one of your students!^^

  • Happy Easter.

Some men have been living at tent City for six plus years. Some would consider them professionally homeless. The shelters will accept anyone. They do a predator check with the police prior to allowing anyone to camp. No kids are allowed which creates a huge problem for women and kids not to mention men/women and kids. Not sure what you mean by responsible. there are rules that must be followed which keeps some from looking for shelters...

  • Fuel/maintance hungry Mc Mansions are visible in the background. Are these people hoping to return to their Mc Mansions or has something clicked.

  • Where is this tent city? When I was homeless in Seattle, harassing & arresting the homeless was the #1 priority of the cops. Has the city become kinder to the homeless over the past decade that I've been back "home" on the east coast? I just can't imagine homeless people being allowed to exist, after seeing how it was "dealt with" first hand when I spent 3 years on the streets of Seattle.

  • I have no money to send

but I will spread the word

Is the tent city still there?

  • I got a nice tent i can give and a nice canopy to, i never knew this was in seattle makes me sick i never see it i was told that they pushed it out of downtown.

  • Great. If you want you can drop it where they are presently camped. 24th and 85th in Ballard..Holy Redemer Church..thanks a lot.

  • Presently this camp is located on 23rd and Spring(?) across the street from the public pool adjacent and just north of Garfield High School
