Please Answer!!!!.......But Anyways I <3 Myrtle Beach and Conway and Coastal Carolina and trust me in the future u will see me up there no matter what

  • Hi! We offer a variety of scholarships (merit-based and application-based). Admitted students are automatically considered fro merit-based awards. As there are a limited number of awards available, not all students who meet the minimum criteria will be awarded a scholarship. You can read more about scholarship opportunities and priority consideration dates on the University's Financial Aid Web site under "Scholarships". Thanks for the question and we hope to hear from you soon!

  • what are the requirements for entry into the golf management program if I already have a BA from WVU in Landscape Architecure?

  • Hi! If you already have a bachelors degree, you definitely need to contact the director of the program, Charles Thrash, at 843-349-2639. The PGA Golf Management Program at Coastal Carolina University is a four-and-one-half year college curriculum for aspiring PGA Professionals. Students must first be accepted to the University, and then complete a separate program application and provide proof of a handicap of eight or less as well as a letter of recommendation from a PGA member.

  • can not wait to go here. im goin to horry county tech for a year maybe then transferring to coastal. my dad has lived in north myrtle for about 10 years now. he plays guitar at the carolina opry in north myrtle. i love the beach! cant wait.

  • hello, I am planning on attending Coastal fall of 2011, how much is a year tuition for an out of state student? what is your cheapest room and board package avaiable? thank you

  • Hello! Glad to hear that you are interested in Coastal Carolina University. For 2009-2010, tuition and fees for a full-time, out-of-state student is $9,385 a semester or $18,770 a year. The cost of room and board on the main campus is $3,600 a semester or $7,200 a year. Information on all fees is available on our Web site at the Student Accounts Web page.

  • @redsuperman0711 Hey i'll see you there man.

  • Hi, I am interested in attending this college fall of 2010, although I have a few questions,

-Both SAT and ACT are required along with the application? Or can it be just one of those?

-I have taken one year of foreign language. Spanish, and I have taken another course that undergoes as a foreign language credit. Am I still legible for acceptance?

  • Hi! We accept both the SAT and the ACT; we do not prefer one over the other and we will accept your best score(s) if you take a test more than once. For foreign language, we require two years of the same foreign language; this is one of our core course requirements. If you are missing a year of foreign language, we will still consider you for acceptance, provided you have no other deficiencies. For more information, please call our office at 800-277-7000 and ask to speak with a counselor!

  • hey i got to a small college in Virginia called Averett university and i am going to transfer to Coastal. I was wondering what all do you look for in a transfer student.

  • Hi! Thank you for your interest! To be considered for admission, a transfer applicant should have earned a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA or a C average in at least two full-time semesters (24 semester credits) or its equivalent from a regionally accredited college or university. Applicants who have earned less than 24 semester credits or its equivalent must meet both transfer and freshman admission requirements and submit an official high school transcript and SAT or ACT scores.

  • Thank you !!!

  • THANK YOU!!!

  • Hey, i'm now a senior in highschool and i would love to attend Coastal next fall. I'm still trying to figure out the whole applying process though...what tests(ACT/SAT) are required along with the application??

  • Hi! Once we get your application, test scores and high school transcript, you will get a decision in about 3 weeks. We accept both the SAT and/or the ACT. So you can submit one or the other or both. The average SAT score is 1040 (just the math & reading combined, we do not use the writing portion), average ACT is 22 and average GPA is 3.3. Remember these are just averages, NOT minimums, so we take both above and below these averages. Hope this information helps!

  • Real nice place. i have fairly decent grades. one concern i have is do you need 2 years of a language? i only have one completed

  • Hi! Thank you for your interest in Coastal Carolina University. As a freshman, 2 years of a foreign language are usually required, however a person can still apply if they do not have the two years. The Admissions committee will still review the application, even if the student has only one year of a language.

  • Wow. Its really pretty

I'm considering attending there once i graduate high school (2011) I'm an out of state girl (West Virginia) but i'd love to live in that area! I also make pretty decent grades. (3.0 or slightly above)

can you major in anything Medical related? or is it mainly marine biology?

  • Thank you for your interest in Coastal Carolina University! We do offer pre-professional programs such as pre-medical, pre-dental, pre-physical therapy, etc. These are all advisement programs that a student can choose to take while majoring in biology, chemistry, or exercise and sport science. We also have a department of Health, Kinesiology, and Sport Studies which includes exercise and sport science, health promotion, physical education teacher education, and recreation and sport management.

  • Thanks!

Okay now i'm looking more into marine biology and oceanology and stuff. If I major in Biology will i have to switch colleges in order to become a Marine Biologist or something similar? or can i stay there the whole time and finish all the years and stuff i need there?

I am also going to Myrtle Beach August 13, is there anyway i can tour the campus? or is it just during the school year?

  • Hi!

You would actually major in Marine Science here at Coastal Carolina University and that is what your bachelors degree will be in. If you wanted to double major in Marine Science/Biology or minor in Biology, you have the option of doing that also. You will not have to change colleges because both majors are under the College of Natural and Applied Science. To schedule a campus tour, just call 843-349-2026 and they will take your reservation for the day that you desire to experience Coastal!

  • Graduated last December. I will never forget the good times at Coastal. Definitely the best experience of my life...so far!!!!!

  • dw I agree. I loved my time there and wish I was still down there.

  • CCU, nothing better in the world, the best University ever!!! GO CHANTS!!
