  • What was UNIX, UNIX shall stay ;)

  • Mine is also Intel Pentium E5200 Dual-Core @ 2.50 GHz nut for me i cant install ?

    y?

  • @Karthikesavan Google maybe?

  • Hi. I have Installed Snowosx on my pc. Our configurations are identical. I have Intel Pentium E5200 Dual-Core @ 2.50 GHz 2 GB DDR2 Ram ATI Radeon HD 4350 Graphic Card. 1- 1 tb Hdd 1- 500 gb Hdd Win 7 installed on 1 tb hd and Win XP installed on 500 gb hd Both are working fine. But I can't get Mac sl working. It installs fine. but at boot up it says boot0: error. I Can't solve it. done everything. including rewriting mac's mbr via terminal from install dvd. Waiting for your guidance. Thanks.
  • @devdutt9281 Alright mate, did you install "Snow Bootloader" upon installation? (BTW can you get into Mac OS X after installing or does it happen after you restart?"

  • @LogDoggie I am installing from universal DVD. and i think i doesn't contain snowloader. but it installs EFI.

I can't get into Mac OS X after installing. that error shows up on restart. I would like to mention one thing. that i have used easybcd to set up my boot menu for xp and 7. and that is on 1 tb hdd. I am installing mac on 500 gb hdd.but still mac partition is active. and my first boot drive after installation is 500 gb hdd. still the same error. tried deleting win bootloader. no help.

  • @LogDoggie By the way, will you please tell me how to install "Snow Bootloader" upon installation?

    Thanks for your quick responses...

    :)

  • @LogDoggie Hey I Got my mac os working.

What i did was copied chain0 file in my windows root.

and added this line to my boot.ini file.

    C:\chain0="Mac OS X86"

    And, voila...

    It worked.

  • @devdutt9281 Strange solution, lol glad you got it working :)

  • @LogDoggie Yeah, Really Strange Solution. but the credit goes to you.

After reading your reply, I was searching for the tutorial on how to install snow boot loader post installation. And I stumbled upon this solution.

    And rest is the story...

    Thanks...

It wont be possible without you.

    :)

  • @devdutt9281 Thanks man, glad it worked out :)

  • @devdutt9281 hey we got the same prossesor XD

  • @devdutt9281 Try changing stuff in your BIOS, if your BIOS is H20 Inside it will be very easy!

  • second most viewed video on your channel is some mac shit.. burn this hard drive :)

  • @LowBattMouse Hah! never! (Actually thinking about making another mac video ;D)

  • how to fix KERNAEL PANIC!

  • @zoeboifresh1000 A lot of research.

  • Yur pc is soo old..suprised yu got mac os x to run

  • @DflyTv Lolololol, this PC I was using was 3 years old, my PC is completely different now lololol.

  • @LogDoggie stopstopstopstop sayingsayingsayingsaying thatthatthatthatthat stopstopstopstopstop

  • @DflyTv You would be supprised that my 8 year old computer run Mac OS almost as good as my Macbook Pro, I truly find that amusing

  • @DflyTv Mac is very retarded ;P

  • @DflyTv no its not old it just has a crt monitor :P

  • Do you need to register it or a serial key requested?

  • @DarkShadowgale56 Nope, just install and use.

  • how do we know this isnt a mac mini hiding in the back lol

  • @gilbert4321 Because:

    1. MAC's dont have Phoenix BIOS's (That's obvious!), PC's have them.

    2. MAC's dont have overclocking abilites, nor do they have Pentium Dual Core's.

    3. Chamleon is for PC, if chamleon is installed into a MAC it kills the MAC.

    4. OSx86 Tools only has its use on a Hackintosh.

    5. MAC Doesn't have a GeForce 9500 GT, it never did.

    6. And a MAC doesn't have SOMESERIALNUMBER

That should be enough reasons LOL

  • @LogDoggie I believe you now :) lol im such a noob at this stuff

  • @gilbert4321 Lol, no worries.

  • Has anyone experienced any problems with the install being sucessful and when you boot up it shows the white screen with the apple in the middle for 2 seconds then the screen goes black and sometimes followed by a console line at the top left that doesn't do anything or doesn't accept input?

I have a HP G62 which uses an amd processor and when i booted the install for the first time i typed this.

    boot: voodoo 86x -v -f

  • @gilbert4321 AMD Is mostly your problem, Since MAC doesn't officially support them, you'll have to download the AMD hackintosh I've included in the description.

  • @gilbert4321 Or if you've installed it already, you can get a patched kernel for AMD from kexts .com

  • @LogDoggie Is there a problem with your voice i mean come on why are you on youtube if your not gonna speak

  • @james090500 Yeah true man, this video is starting to get old, I got a new and nice hackintosh running, I think I'm going to do another video like this but with me talking about it and stuff :P

  • @gilbert4321 thats kernel panic...mostly when unsupported CPU...if u have AMD read instructions and choose good kernel...choose everything right.if it wrote u that its succesful it means it CAN be installed on your hard drive

  • so everything you had on your win7, winxp, winvista or whatever you have is still gonna be there??

  • @TheJoemoze Yes, Win7, WinXP. are all still there. Simply you just create a seperate partition for SL. If you install SL onto that partition, everything else won't be touched.

  • @TheJoemoze cool, by the way it looks soooo awesome :)

  • @TheJoemoze Ahaha thanks.

  • neet work. :)

  • I'm so JEALOUS!

  • @rinkavideos64 lol!

  • Shit

  • @stoph2 Init, shit that you anit got.

  • if i install snow leopard on pc, does this remove all my partitions? because i dont want to remove my restore partition because i have an hp computer and it doesnt use a cd. plz reply in case i want to go back to windows 7

  • @LifeonRice1 I replyed to your other comment.

  • Can you tell me the name of that boot loader?

  • @xKronikzHD Chameleon Bootloader v2.0 :P

  • @Alysha2001 Yes.

  • how to make your internet work someone please help me

  • @meFILMING It just worked out of the box, if you can tell me what network adapter you have I might be able to find you a driver.

  • @LogDoggie i dont know on my box its wrriten scientific atlanta, and i found in my computer saying Marvell Yukon 88E8055 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller

  • what program this using for the dual boot?

  • @fAyRoOn Chameleon Bootloader, but now I use Windows Bootloader.

  • @PublicHD Did you install the PS2 keyboard kext?

  • My installation fails its really frustrating ! everytime i start op i see you need to restart your computer, over and over again, i hope you can help me !

    mitchel

  • @gamealcohol

Well, people like OSX more. It is just a matter of someone's opinion.

  • What do you use for your bootloader?

  • hey do you think you could direct me to a good tutorial video to install this

  • @tekkai235 Lolz I have a tutorial on my channel xD, but theres others around.

  • @Eier4life Yeah works great, headphones and everything :P

  • steve jobs no likey :|

  • @andrada95n Rofl.

  • @hebrewhammerrob Google'in really is quite useful.

    tiny.cdotdot/qwjlp

    Replace "dot" with a .

  • @LogDoggie tiny.ccdotdot/qwjlp

  • Where did you get audio and video drivers?

  • any universal video card driver for hackintosh?

  • @PYourSong As far as I know there anit.

  • Is the boot loader you are using BURG?

    Or some other?

  • @Techlur No i'm using Chameleon :)

  • @LogDoggie Holy crap! Chameleon has come a very long way since I started using it...

I used to be really big on Hackintosh back in the Tiger and Early Leopard days.

    Stopped. Going back now :D

  • @Techlur Aha yeah I wouldn't use anything else :P, & Get that Hackintosh installed! xD

  • Nice video man whats about HD videos on youtube do they play smooth like on windows or on a mac?And whats about editing programms like After Effects,Final Cut and others? Please message me

  • @ApoCalypsis95 Thanks man, and to get HD video you gotta have a HD camera with a good resolution, or it wont work work, AFAIK you haven't gotta do any video editing to get it to work if that's what you mean.

  • @LogDoggie :D thanks for answering but thats not that what i mean i just want to know if HD videos play smooth and clear without any laggs on hackintosh (snow leopard)

  • @ApoCalypsis95 Lol Yeah they play fine man :P

  • How do you install the drivers for a Geforce 8400 GS??? =)

  • @eldaguinio Use this driver :)

    www5kexts5com/view/118-snow_leopard_nvenabler5html

    (replace 5 with a dot)

  • @LogDoggie thanks a lot!! ..do you have a manual or tut? or should only double click to the NVenabler?

  • @eldaguinio Yeah I have a tut on my channel which shows how to install a kext, skip to 6:40 on the video :) (not this video)

  • CRT Master race pride!

  • a tut maybe ? :)

  • @shtef1090 A simple googling maybe ? (how to install hackintosh from usb)

  • @LogDoggie I tried like 4 times to install OS X but it won't boot. Why Steve Jobs doesn't make a PC version of OS X.Then it would be more accessible to people.

  • @shtef1090 Ohh I see, probably because Steve wants to keep "OS X" unique.. kinda stupid really because it would bring in alot more sales if OS X was universal to all systems.

  • @LogDoggie you're right

  • @LogDoggie Yeah right. People would still download the crap out of Crapintosh OSx just like Microsoft Winblows.

  • @jebussaves1 Exactly.

  • @shtef1090 And a tutorial, I'll think about it. :)

  • @shtef1090 Because Macintosh is for Mac computers and Macs rock, PCs are so-so.

  • @zxPromafiazx are you kidding ? what's so special in the Macs. They have the same hardware components as PCs. If I wanna make a PC with the exact hardware as a iMac it would be like 3 or 4 times cheaper.

  • Why should i use mac os?

  • @eldaguinio Depends on what you want to use the OS for.

  • at 4:39 to 4:44 wat was that?

  • @eureka7101 You mean the POST screen ?

  • I HAVE 4GB RAM NVIDIA GEFORCE 9200 and a amd athlon quad core processor will it work fine???

  • @capacop01 Should run ok, but you'll have to get a special kernel for your AMD (go on kexts. com)

  • hey man nice video

but i have the same cpu as urs

    i install snow leo retail

but its slow alittle bit and it read my cpu 1.7 core2due

do u have any solution for me

  • @corabict

    Try installing this,

    osx 86.sojug arden. co m /2 010 / 04 /my hack -installer-1- 0-1-rele ased /

(the link has some spaces in it, because youtube wont let me post the full link)

  • @gamealcohol the point is to be user friendly, and to have to set everything up to get it the way you want

  • @jord534 i'm sorry, and NOT to have to set...

  • i have an ati 4650 hd,4 gb ram and a inter dual core.....can i install snow leopard?

  • @FottitoreSupremo Your SPECS should be fine, Install away ;D

  • will it work with 32 bit

  • @lukethegreat123 SL is both 32bit and 64bit capable.

  • so you just reformat your computer with the mac osx snow leopard disc?

  • @kingsmiles1 No i didn't, i partitioned my hdd.

  • other vids i heard that you cant install ideneb on a partition?

  • I only have fat32 or ntfs?

  • do u think this is why i am just getting the spinning apple and nothing else?

  • Comment removed

  • When i did the partition do i need to change it to fat32 instead of ntfs?

  • @maximusmarzy the mac partition should be HFS+ not Fat32 or NTFS

  • after install complete and restart im getting apple logo then the spinning thing freezes and thats all i get please help??

  • @maximusmarzy Hmm, try booting with -v and then google what kernel panic your getting, or get a patched IOATAFamily.kext (find it using google)

  • can i put snow leopard on my laptop? this is its specs:

    Acer Aspire 5542

    AMD Athlon(tm) II Dual Core M300 2.00GHz

    4.00 GB RAM

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4570

    500 GB HDD

  • @GoodGame03 Yes you should be able to, but it will be difficult.. follow the guide in the link below.

    ihackin tosh. com /2009 /09/ install-snow-leopard-106-on-amd-pc-hackintosh /

(i've spaced some of the letters in the link because youtube doesnt allow a full

  • i have tried so hard to update(using the vanilla kernal on leopard) but i always et a kernal panic, any suggestions?

  • @epicllama For Leopard, you gotta use a hacked updater, try booting into Safe mode (-v -x) and run this hacked updater and see if that fixes it.

    ihackintosh. org /download/en/component/jdownloads/? task= view.download& cid=10

(i've spaced some of the letters in the link because Youtube wont let me post the full link)

  • @LogDoggie the vanilla kernal wasnt working too well so now i have a hacked kernal will it work for that too?

  • @epicllama Umm not sure to be honest, but if you get a kernel panic after updating replace the kernel again with the hacked one :P

  • @LogDoggie ok so the link worked and i updated, but with one major issue(btw THANKS SOOOO MUCH!!!!) i have an external monitor and the only way i can use the display is when this is plugged in, i set it up so the external was the primary and the laptop was secondary but it only displays on the external which is fine because i cant get wifi, only ethernat anyway so i dont move it much, but do you have any ideas? thanks again so much! and this also enebled quartz extreme somehow :)

  • wheres the download link for this?

  • There is no download link, you will have to find it on torrent sites or something, as i said in More Info.

  • got a prob i start up the pc then type all the possible promps but i get a apple screen and nothin else

    or

i get a blank screen and nothing else

    help plzz!

    amd sepmron

  • I think it's because you've got an AMD Processor, since OS X does not support AMD, you'll have to use a modified kernel to make it work.

    kexts. com/view/90-amd_kernel_snow_leopard.. html

  • BTW, i've spaced some of the letters in the link because Youtube wouldn't let me post the link properly :P

  • @LogDoggie thanks :D but how do u use it :|

  • Download a program called MacDrive for Windows, install that, restart your PC then you will be able to access your mac drives through windows, in the root folder of the mac drive there will be a file called "mach_kernel" replace the mach kernel with the one you downloaded from the link i gave you earlyier.

  • Sorry, but I really don't understand.I have 2 zip-files.

    1. IOATAFamily_panic_fix.patch.zi p.

Containing 1 single files called IOATAFamily-panic-fix.patch.

    2. IOATAFamily.kext-1.zip

Containing 2 folders. "__MACOSX" and "IOATAFamily.kext"

Which files/foldes should go where? ;)

  • Meh, only works if you have a Leopard hackintosh though :P :P

  • how did you fix kernel panic?

  • which one ?

  • after the installation of the Hackintosh , did you got an error saying "Please reboot your system" or something like that?

  • What motherboard have you got?

  • Foxconn G31MX-K.

  • Hi and thanks for the video. Best ive seen and the ONLY one that lets you actullay install the Snow Leopard on every system. Now I have a problem. I keep getting the kernel panic when booting up. I have followed the guide (USB Method) but maybe I'm copying the files within IOATAFamily.kext-1.zip and IOATAFamily_panic_fix.patch.zip to the wrong place on harddrive? Im using MacDrive to access the "mac-drive". Plz help. ;)

  • You gotta unzip the IOATAFamily file and place the IOATAFamilypatch inside the kext (MacOS>Resources). then put it in System/Libary/Extensions on the mac drive.

  • Comment removed

  • same here

  • what bootloader are you using?

  • chameleon

  • Yeah I know, but I wanted to choose OS X.

  • i would switch to mac but it plays no good games

  • Yeah true, but mac's are quite fast at movie processing, browsing the web and stuff :P

  • Yes but a Mac can run windows Just as good or better as a pc to play those games

  • Yeah perhaps, but I wouldn't ever buy a mac there way overpriced :P

  • @LogDoggie yea but if you dont buy 1 you wont ever have the full experience, like the build and stuff, but anyway ppl like different things

  • Yeah spose, i really only liked the OS anyways lol :P

  • No Mac can run games well under Windows. Their hardware is terrible for games and not very good for media editing either.

  • @ LogDoggie,

How did you change the bootloader background? Or did you find it like that?

  • I changed it, the images are in the extra folder in the OSX partition :P

  • i cant boot the dvd.

    i enter

    -v -f -x -y cpus=1 busratio=20 platform=X86PC

    and it doesnt work.

    i got a dell studio xps 435t

  • I dunno, i've never had this problem, Google it.

  • dont mind.

i tried 3 distros without luck.

    now im using good ol`10.5.7

  • Hi, can You help me with my kernel panic?

I show it in my video. I'm trying for a long time, and always the same kernel panic :(

  • Got everything working now :D including graphics!! only problem kernel panic on shutdown did you get this?

  • No I didn't get any kernel panic on shutdown lol

  • Hey, my 9500gt just arrived, would you please give me a step-by-step guide to get everything working including qe/cl. i have no graphics driver installed at the moment. Thank!

  • epic monitor fail, btw.

  • I know it looks crap lol but it's clear as hell =D

  • im gonna try this on my SHIT 3000 LOL

  • Show off :S

  • haha very funny.

  • Where u got the video and audio driver?

  • great, now i know snow leopard works on my intel pentuim

  • I Just bought your graphics card, but ive only ever installed hackintosh with a ati graphics cards, can you tell me what distribution of hackintosh install you used and what graphics drivers ? thankss!

  • I used SnowOSX Universal 10A432, and for the graphics, use google to search for "NVEnabler snow leopard" and find the correct one :P (nvenabler is universal for the geforce cards)

  • thanks, last question, i also have your same CPU, did you have any problems using all cores? thanks
