  • Gotta love the Duke

  • ジョージ・デュークさん!もはや、貴方のほんとの顔なんてどうでもいいヨ!~グッド・サウンド・クリエイターだもんね!、この曲は別格"ブラジリアン・ラヴ・アフェアー"

  • the lady in the back looked like Monique... but the song sounds amazing.

  • Siempre me encantó este tema................

Transmite alegría, y una especie de estado de "idiotez" maravilloso!!!!

  • some part of this song is jam because he rise one finger this means one clear sign to the rest of the band ..

  • George is very simply.......one of the most talented people on planet earth. Everybody wants to work him. You can also tell what a good guy he is from looking at youtube clips. He cracks me up with his smile and laughing eyes. If I could choose one musician to have a cold one with.....it would be George.

  • The Duke of Prunes!

  • Words can't explain.

  • This is roughly the version played on Casino Lights DVD and really this is killer!!!! What is famous on that Casino lights version (formerly on youtube as well) is how Duke is watching his wrist watch during bass solo .-)))))

  • Beautiful... George and that woman Lori sound amazing together... :)

  • George Duke's new album Deja Vu is now in stores! Be sure to pick up your copy!

  • updated version of a classic back from the day - the playing is awesome!!!!! if only contemporary keyboardists can play like this, then that really would be something, but alas there is only one George, he is in the pantheon of the 1970s and 80s greats i.e. Herbie Hancock,Chick Corea, at al.

  • just great music!

  • This version is great ! It's very pure and relaxed. In the same show he played six o'clock in the morning (album - snapshot) which also sounded great

  • Jesus, this is better than the original and I Loved the original!!! Does anybody know when this was recorded?

  • @namille The 12" vinyl says 1980.

  • could do with a bit of this live real jam in london town jx

  • hi i just love this music so grea<t music grfr johnnyb.

  • i remember my crazy love affairs in Salvador-Bahia in 1983......thank you George for that fantastic music.......

  • @kienmoor Could even be about my crazy love affairs in Olinda as well ;-) .... and what about George's?

  • Duke is probably one of the most versatile musicians to play this globe.

  • what a baller

  • :( the Frank Zappa part was tiny...

  • Whether GD is spewing 'funk' or jazz he is one of the all-time greatest. Simply gifted brotha.

  • ricoooooooo

  • Nice try. Keep it up check out esteembpo + com for social media marketing. gbhmkkl

  • It's great but too fast..

  • I totally agree. Too fast. IMHO it takes away some of the magic of this classic tune.

  • I felt like the tempo gave it some real good energy, I'm sure it sounds good slow too, but I liked this version a lot. Nice sound quality all the way around as well.

  • The rythm is based on a brazilian samba...So this song played slow would a totally waste of time..cause it would take away the whole point..XD

  • @Jhey172 ? so brazilian samba shouldnt be played slowly? sry im not that advanced in latin jazz music etc.

  • It is jazz what is to fast about jazz? This is a very nice jazz beat. You just can't keep up. You don't know jazz at all.

  • I don't wanna make you cry!! ;)) I am good person.. Ok, I'll let you know some things.. 1 Title: Brazilian Love Affair - Brazilian rhythm - not jazz, but fusion. 2 Propable YOU'VE NEVER listened to the original, 3 It's a song, not an instrumental track, that means lyrics, voice and breaths.. 4 Please DO NOT CRY.. Hahahaha!!!! lol!!

yeah, after listening again i realized you are correct...could of slowed down the tempo slightly could of enjoyed it better. i just love music--george duke and robert brookins as well. both are awesome musicians. knew robert brookins great man. rip brothah.

  • just the graetest

  • George Duke is one of the most overlooked, underrated musicians of all time, he has some of the best credentials and the most diverse musical interests from prog rock with Zappa, to the most dirty funk to his awesome jazz-samba fusion. Long live the Duke!

  • I agree SOOOOO much

  • @mafia67 Agreed 100%. This video is just sublime.

  • @mafia67 You are so right! I have enjoyed George Duke in his many incarnations since the seventies from his Zappa days until today. I never tire of his talent and his humanity.

  • @mafia67 Well stated and VERY TRUE! He's apearing asspecial guest w/ Dweezel Zappa currently> Frank would have turned 70 this December! :(

  • @mafia67 ye!! i actually dont know too much about him/ his songs, but every time i listen to his music, its really 100% different to other jazz musicians.. or funk/ pop/rock or what u ever want to call him =)

  • @mafia67 ,THE TRUTH BE TOLD,HE IS ONE OF MY ALL TIME GREAT KEYBOARDIST/MUSICIAN OF ALL TIME,I CALL HIM, UNCLE GEORGE,LOL

  • the funkiest summer track ever that bass line blows your mind and Mr Duke on the keys need I say more

  • awesome bass lines........

  • This dude kicks ass, man!!!!! He's the man on those keys!!!!

  • Is this a voice over or wot! i love this song but George'pls dont sing'Duke is a player not singer. Yo, where Stanley at?!!

  • DC6six.....What ? George is not a singer ? Where have you been ? George sings on ALL of his songs . This is just a terrible mix . George has an exceptionally nice voice . Don't judge from this terrible mix . Do you think that Stanley is the voice on Georges records ? (Ha! Ha!) You don't know jack !

  • Man, that Echidna's Arf part doesnt even last 15 seconds! Disappointed! You shouldnt mention it in the title...

  • One of the greates, if not the graetest black musician of all time..sure beats that rap crap

  • Slick rhythm section here. Rest of the band is killen, to.

  • look @ manson fingers..jesus

  • Maravilloso..Amo a George.. que grande que es por Dios.... he cantado este tema por alla por los 80.. he disfrutado muchisimo.. lo incluire en mi nuevo show.. Patricia Clark

  • Thank you for this. It's awesome!! I love it!! I love the DUKE Man! He's a great musician, performer, song writer, singer and great guy!

  • thanks loved it

  • The Keyboard player is a killer. The solo is great. Dont get it wrong guys: George Duke is awesome too, but the other Keyboarder did a great job. keep groovin 1st

  • Yes, he copies George's synth style and does it very well - but George is still the original.

  • Holy shit.

  • pretty poor mix,

great version though. love the duke!

  • MUY BUENO.-UN FACTO.-

  • wow...what an ending. i never saw this version before.. thx.

  • TIGHT!

  • WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!!!!

Beats the original which says a lot.

  • CHOON!!!!!!

  • Great song with some nice solos there at the end. Wish the bassist would have played with Duke on the Zappa part on the end like Tom Fowler did (it's a hard little run to say the least!)

  • Oh man... Nice Zappa ending there...! Should have played the whole song! Really great though.

  • A clasical tune that George recorded in Brazil with a lot of Brazilian musicians on the 70s...

  • nice new ending...

  • alla grandeeeee!!!!!

  • ShangoDC, you are so right - this is THE song and BRAZILIAN LOVE AFFAIR is THE album !!

He is the best ever and will be !!! Love Ya George

  • George is a great artist, he has had many great albums/CDs. In terms of song for song I think this album, Brailian Love Affair is total favorite.

  • Sounds like the music for a travelling advert on tv

  • LOL! the beatbox intro was cheesy, but what a hell of a groove, I dig the bassman

  • oh fuck off what do you know.

  • i'm dutch

  • Sorry, Hammond, it was meant as a joke. But it didn't come out as one. My apologies. Whooops

  • LOL!

  • WOW WEE!
