  • Its in B minor, look at his fingers.

  • Intro of "Journey - Separate Ways" O.o

  • I agree... Holy balls

  • man those access synths are fkn hardcore! o:

really get that old amiga games feeling

hope you start studying some classical stuff cause that is really good for anyones improvement

  • I bet you are bored when playing slow songs.

  • Very, very true.

  • Lol. At the beggining you copied seperate ways by journey just in a different key. lol. other wise kick ass

  • The patch I'm using is actually a preset called "Separate Ways," so it had to be done! :o)

  • still really cool. lol. Can you download patches like this for the YAMAHA YPG 635?

  • That patch sounds like a either a square wave patch backed up by a strings vocal patch. sweet hamster you did it again!

  • Fantastic solo . . . . How would you rate the Virus KB as a synth in terms of it'sVA capability. I only ask as I thinking of getting one in the next month or two, but so far been unable to find one to demo.

  • whats te name of that synth?

  • Its an 'access virus'

  • the first 7 seconds sounds like journey

  • Der.

  • Excelente!! Saludos desde argentina! ; - )

  • i really like this one!

  • It sounds a lot like Tony Banks from Genesis.

  • I think the mellotron choir sound in the background is the reason. Banks used that in numerous genesis songs.

  • bad ass magaman shit right there i can play to that shit all night long thats truly pump up

  • DUDE YOUR BADASS!!!

  • can you pleasse show me how to play the part that starts at 1:07 it's beasttt

  • fantastico!

  • nice, man! you should do some more classic 80s.

  • appreciate the fact he gave u more than 1 minute of this sexy synth. shut your mouth son.

  • Holy crap.

  • Nice chops.

  • wow amazingggg!!!!*jaw drops*

  • that was genius thankyou!

  • were you supposed to be playing separate ways by journey at the beginning .. ?

  • yup

  • reminds me very much of a tim follin track from some game in the late 80's or early 90's..very wakeman-esque flavours too :-)

  • reminds me of megaman totally

  • Totally reminds me of mega man. PWNED!

  • it makes me want to buy a keyboard :D

very good job, it's really amazing !

  • i'm confused is it held like a guitar or is it just a keybord.

  • Hygrogyrum? Is that the name that mercury had its chemical symbol (Hg) developed from?

  • Yup... seemed more interesting than its original title of "Quicksilver" (Mercury's pseudonym) which seemed a bit too pretentious. Went all science-y with it instead...

  • Ah. You know, now that you mention it, "Quicksilver" sounds a bit cheesy, too. I agree with your decision :D.

I just took AP Chemistry this year - that's the only reason I noticed the name, really...

  • really, REALLY great performance...

  • Thanks for sharing. A most enjoyable performance.

  • I dunno why but I feel like playing some megaman right now :D

    awesome playing

  • reminds me of dreamtheater, nice.

  • Awesome...

Makes me think of like playing atari or something

  • some reason reminds me loads of final fantasy kind of music???

  • jolly good uber-synth-wank!! indeed

  • JOURNEYYYYYYYYYYYYY Xdddd

    haha Good stuff

  • good god! O_O

  • sounded Symphony X influenced.

    maybe its just me,

but either way, damn good job on this.

  • I wrote this back in 1994, but I love S/X now. I saw them live last month in Hartford, CT. We play "the Enigmatic" in Plastica (my band) as a goof.

  • ah so about the same their first album out.

does your band happen to have a myspace?

  • Ouch

    Guy you rocks!!

I will try to do the same, need lot of train before that

    Really Good Job, Awesome

  • mein c 64 kann dss auch ;)

  • @janling242

ach! hab ick ooch eben gesagt

  • TOTALLY AMAZING this is increadible and totally original

  • Grood Stuff!

Exoglorbin Minotacchia Frevarius Telaheymon Zankt'mine Boronius Teribible Graze Flebbermitt Crow

  • nice job

  • I am so glad this is in a song. It is a brilliant solo.

  • I love the clowns that take a jab at Daves technique haha!! post up or shut up.

    Analogkid

  • I agree it sounds for some reason it belongs as the background track for a turn-based Fight/Magic/Item/Run system RPG.

That's not to say it's not outstanding, it just gives me that kinda frantic energy feeling that the best of Nobuo Uematsu's "boss battle" peices had.

Also, I've never seen a keyboardist that could move their hands like that, rock on!

  • This makes me want to write my own solo instead of copying Rhapsody all the time ^^

  • sounds like fighting music for an old school turn-based RPG or for a NES fighting game *lol*

  • Comment removed

  • exactly

  • whoaa this is cool 8D

  • wow holy crap man no fuking way that is so cool you should start a band

  • Great solo! amazing, just a tip: you need a litle use of the pitch to bends and vibratos

  • like micheal pinnela from symphonyX (cf his album..)

  • Why? Who cares if it sounds amazing!

  • i agree and Disagree, his method of playing may not incorporate the left hand because A he either does not wish to use it( which is most likely based on his level of skill) or B he has not trained his left hand as much as his

right. Either way it sounds more the descent.

as for you hamster dunce Keep up the good synth and don't listen to what people criticis you with, you are making great music so don't change for other people sounds taste's, play to your own.

  • That was not a critique, it was a harmless observation. Don't put words in other people's mouths. You may want to double your dosage.

  • Why don't you explain to me how he should employ his left hand more when he is playing a monophonic lead sound, should he play chords instead....,ya dope.

  • oh no fucking way dude... this is amazing seriously.

  • not bad ^^

  • KICK-ASS!

  • this is the fucking shit man!! awesome!

  • Its funny how everyone here looks at this guys as a god when what hes doing is easy =D in fact i can do better.

  • Right on, man... let's see some videos then! :o)

  • with a little practice I am sure I could play something similar, in fact I can! Its just finding the time to record proof of this statement that is a problem ;_;

  • Seriously, where the fuck did a comment like that come from?

  • take no offense, that message has ment to be a reply for someone who was dissing him about originality. i truly think its great that he has skill and that he has done hes own compositions with it and posted it here. and not that glitter covers we see here every day

  • So melodic style arppegios and scales in a upbeat rock driven contex has nothing to do with music? And this sounds nothing like dragon force, this is not wank like that, this has a more retro vibe to it.

  • Wow....Umpop..that can only mean that this awesome synth dude is also the awesome guy who created RAB & Sci Fi guys. Now I HAVE to buy your CDs...& a DVD, for myself as an Xmas present ^.^

  • Journey rocks!

  • wooow nice!!!

  • you are my new god dude...that was sweet wish i could play that

  • fucking. awesome.

  • holy smokes!

  • That was absoloutely rockin'!!!!

  • Bloody brilliant!!!!!!!!!!

  • Ur sick.. oO

I wanna be as good as you

  • sweet as

  • The opening lead is from the song "Separate Ways" by Journey. Nice work after that though. Great technique.

  • VIRUS FTW! now i just gota learn to play like that

  • very nice very very very nice

  • :D :D :D

  • ur pianos skills are sick....

  • Dudley the robot GO!

  • sounds like a old game, funny

  • Can you come live in my house And do that all day? :P

  • 0.o that was good to good ... r u a robot ?

  • Wow you are really good! I mean very very good, Original Composition?

  • I've been up too long because you scared the hell out of me creeping up around the corner of the camera peeking in!

Then i remembered, "its not real its only tv its only tv!!!"

I vote for more Wretch Machine vids!!!

  • Thanks. The Juno is at my tech buddy's house getting a voice card replaced (you can clearly tell it's missing a voice in the Leper video!) but I plan on giving it a demo once it's back home. The drum programming is very weak in this tune; I agree. I made it back in 1994 (!!), and having grown up with my brother on the drums, I have improved (somewhat) since then...

  • I knew I heard a dead voice!

You need a vid with some of that minikorg vocoder.

  • You have great chops man, but I would suggest talking/working with a good drummer about your drum programming though, it would really help your music scream. Best of luck. PS - Use that Juno 106 a little more. :)
